Look up DALLMYD on youtube that is what he does. Maybe you can talk him into coming down and finding it, he is in Alabama. Seems like a super nice guy. Here is his Instagram instagram.com/DALLMYD/ correction he from Georgia.
@@currymurphy833 I called Jake to have him look for some of my gear (GoPro and dive mask) that got lost in the river but I think someone actually came along when I was getting my gear out and took it. Jake never found it. On my other treasure hunting dives I never found it either.
ultimate rebuild, there are a RU-vidr called *Rebuild guy* & he knows a boat shop that repair carbon fiber & repaint boats & so on... :) ask him if you ski under part re painted 😄
Stereo ""WATER RESISTANT ONLY" gone/busted/kaput in the first hour of riding (even if you dont flip the ski) in 3.....2.....1..... Gooooooone 60$ !!!! Rebuy a real stereo for boat use. 👌👌👌👌
So good to see a young guy resurrecting old stuff and making the best of what you got. So easy for young chaps just to go out and buy everything new. You appreciate it so much more when you build it up yourself. Well done you have my respect. You so remind me of me when I was young. Young man you will go far. Kindest regards from Ireland 🇮🇪
The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner for the foot well stains, no scrubbing and it is gone in seconds. I couldn't believe it when I did mine. New wear ring and change the pump oil while you have the pump out. Great job on the ski, I just finished 2 1994 seado XPs and they look retro and amazing.
I'm so glad that on new ones they've made the lower hull out of a new material thats more durable but actually replacveable if its too far gone. Allot of seadoos could be saved IMO if people could replace the lower hulls the previous owners didn't take care of. Oh love this vid by the way. Restoring old Seadoos is like restoring old SkiDoos. I lot of fun and a good place to learn how to fix things.😅
How are plastic hulls more durable than fiberglass? If you hit a rock and put a small hole in the hull you can patch fiberglass. With a plastic/composite hull you have to replace the whole thing and seadoo will charge you an arm and a leg for it too. Not to mention the amount of labor involved in swapping everything over to the new hull.
Looks great! I'm wrapping up a rebuild of a 97 GS. One upgrade I'm considering is a finger throttle. Going to see how I like the current grip (same you have) before I commit. Great work and love the gray!
Heads up on the amp for the speakers. I wouldn't lay it in the bottom of the storage well as that is where the water will collect. Mount it up on a side inside the storage well. Looks good overall. Wish you were close by, I'd get you to paint some parts for me.
After looking at your videos, I’m rethink of doing my GTI LE. I got it the same way but needed to replace the engine and buy a new seat cover. Yours look awesome, good job.
Looks top notch and the 3d stickers look great. Makes me want to do mine. I like the blue/purple lower half. Gives a contrast to the color scheme. Happy riding 🤘😎
Hey Zach, I felt bad watching as you were trying to remove those stains in the foot wells. They look like some seriously stubborn rust stains. I live in Florida and the water from the sprinkler system stains everything with rust. I have used a product on plastic fencing (I believe it is PVC) and on a wrought iron table and chairs that was painted white. Both were heavily stained with rust from the sprinklers. I sprayed them down with this stuff and some rust comes off immediately and the rest just easily wipes and rinses off after soaking for 5-15 minutes. I was really surprised how well it worked. The product is made by Goof Off and it is called RustAid Outdoor Rust Satin Remover. I don't know if those stains are actually rust but they looked like it. I also don't know if it would appropriately remove rust from that surface (paint, gel-coat, clear-coat, fiberglass etc.) but you could check it out.
I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but it's OeM paint. You can get it from paying stores $24 a can. It's praise like vinyl seats like in your boat. You can restrain to a different color and not have to worry about it. Cracking like you would regular paint, the stuff is excellent. It's lovely as far as using chair at my desk. Change the color on. Change color on my boat. And also, we did the seat on my jet ski. And the peace that goes up front work 20 columns. But this paint is excellent, you need to look into it.
for the future, you can just sand down the plastic pieces on top with like 30 grit or something real fine and then use and torch/ heatgun to bring the bright color back
This is reason for the reserve tank on the fuel switch. It is the same on motorcycles. You run it in normal mode until the engine starts to splutter, then switch it to reserve so you can make it to a gas pump. On a motorcycle, it is usually the bottom 2 litres of fuel for emergency use. Don't forget to switch it back to main once you have refilled.
@Ultimate Rebuilds For the yellowing in the footwells. Use "on off" from West Marine. Wear a mask. Put some on a rag and wipe the area make sure that the area doesn't have water on it or it won't work. Then watch the magic. When you are all finished rinse with water.
That looks awesome! Also you might need a different paint setup to re spray gel coat, I doubt it's cheap. The purple looks awesome the way you tied it in.
Cracked up when u had to swim w the ski lol. By the way the ski looks amazing, great job, not too sure about the speakers right out the front, the splashing might kill them. Well done with the build
Hey buddy Those speakers will end up snapping off when the jetski is bouncing on the waves. I would either get the tube that is made for atv, boats or make a hole on each side and place two marine grade speakers with a bluetooth device.
I didn’t show it very much (mainly because the episode was getting really long) but I built an aluminum plate for the back and it is holding very well. It stormed on us in the middle of the lake the other day and it held up very well to the waves. I’ll keep you all updated on it but I have high hopes they’ll last.
New sub, and enjoyed watching you revamp your sea doo and your pretty good with re painting yet just a small tip if you noticed small specs of dust in paint just take a couple buckets of water to floor before you start painting it helps prevent especially while moving around to paint is when floor stirs up dust. Yet your pieces looked great 👍🏼 and it turned out pretty awesome 😎
Jet looks great. Ask good car electrician how to get some charge from the engine so you don't have to take off and charge the battery for the speakers. I'm sure there must be a way. DC-DC converter sort of thing maybe .... I'm just guessing
Came across your videos recently and let me tell you, I’m loving the content. You do such a great job with the couple videos I’ve seen. Needless to say, I’ll be binge watching all your videos. Keep them coming. I’m getting seriously motivated to spruce up my ski. It’s been sitting for a year not using so getting it ready to go back out on the water. I love the speaker system you put in. Do you do any work for others?
That turn out bad ass good job I have two Seadoo 97 gtx and a 98 gti I need to spruce them up maybe I’ll use some up your idea also install a bilge pump I installed on both of mind and I’m glad I did I used it on my gtx all ready while putting them in the water and forgot to put the plugs in good job on your build.
Use a heat gun on the faded plastic parts to pull the color back. It's an old trick. The plastic parts are petroleum based so heating them brings the color back to the surface.
