Just wanted to thank you sir. I had an elderly father who passed away last year, he was a cobbler himself, retired along time ago but he still repaired shoes for friends and family on occasion. Watching you fix footwear and apply your own touch to them reminds me of the times he would show and teach me how to fix things, sometimes I take out the tools and mess around for a bit myself :). I really appreciate your service to the community and hope that you continue to make these videos, not just for people like myself but for others that love to learn and remember the old times as well. So, just to let you know how much you have influenced my leather work...I use Master's Contact Cement. (I hate Barge cement). I tried other moisturizers but only use Bickmore 4. And, I got some neutral Saphir (really expensive) gloss polish. Oh, and some Kelly cream polish. See, Steve. I take good advice from reputable sources. Thank you! (Plus, I bought a cobbler's hammer for glue ups)

Steve, you make me laugh so much. I’ve started saying it’s hammer time now every time I bring out one of my hammers when riveting or whatever. Hubby has started as well when he uses his dapping and texturizing hammers lol. How disappointing that you aren’t going to be traveling. Health comes first and you just never know with this virus. Welcome back Steve! I know you're fine because of your FB postings. I let out a chortle at your "hammer time" with the ornaments. Sorry you had to cancel your Europe trip and the Netherlands competition.

It has been a while since you've uploaded. I missed you but assumed you were in Europe for the contest you entered. That worried me a bit too. It is nice to know you did not go there and put yourself in peril, but it is unfortunate that the competition was postponed. It will resume at some point and you will receive the prize you deserve. I thought the project was great. It was expensive but I am with you when you say that the customer knows this and would not have brought the shoes to you if she didn't want them repaired. What I hope she does know is how much better you made them. The only way you will ever see those sandals again is if she want the outsoles replaced. Those sandals are now bullet proof given the way you improved the build. I had to laugh about the comment on your brush. I have never noticed that it should be replaced but what I do wonder when glue is if there is as much glue in the glue pot as there is outside it! If you could reclaim all the glue that has dripped on the outside of the glue pot you could probably go another week without ordering more! Anyway, thanks for a great project, can't wait to see more.
