If all you're using a digital pencil for is writing it makes no difference. I have an esr digital pencil just for note taking and it's excellent. Saved me spending $219AUD, I spent $33AUD on the ESR Digital Pencil ✏️
The Kogan pencil is $50 and also charges on the iPad just like the apple pencil only difference is you have turn it on and wait two seconds before it works
Nice to have a less expensive alternative . I'm sort of tempted to get one as a back-up for my Apple Pencil , but I don't know ... honestly, the USB charging cable for the Penoval A4 is a turn off for me.. If I didn't already have an Apple Pencil and I was financially strapped I would probably get the Penoval A4 and just live with the inconvenience of charging it by a cable , but after having used the Apple Pencil with its' easy charging by simply placing it into the pencil dock on the iPad it would be hard to go backwards.
@@impulsiveurge5837 Not fast enough for me when I need a quick charge...similar to how I always wear Bluetooth buds unless I'm making music bcuz the latency is too much. My point is wireless isnt there yet imo to where you don't need wires for anything
@@Byronic19134 wireless is go-to when you don't need time, and convenience in car. But for fast charging when you need you phone after some time the cable is the only, you are right.
between the time stamps 4:39 and 5:46, are those features going to be only exclusive for the apple pencil? also, when you are in goodnotes and you circle a chunk of writing, are you able to do this with the A4 or is that also only for the apple pencil? I hope this made sense! Amazing video and really got me thinking lol!
You probably decided or figured it out, but it looks like he's testing the features that the Apple Pencil is known to have with the Penoval A4. So he's using the Penoval pen and it has the same features.
I like art and dk if i should get apple pencil incase i decide digital art isnt for me yk, Ive been using a basic stylus but it just isn't great i might as well be using my finger ahah but i thought maybe id get this one instead, But pressure sensitivity and palm rejection were my biggest wants really, I suppose anything is better than what i have atm ahah Thanks for the vid i think ill give the Penoval A4 Pro a go :)
There is a major flaw with all these "Pro" pens. There is no pressure sensor at all, which is a major deal breaker and something that should be said first in all the reviews and also written in the box. So you're basically paying $36 just for a piece of wire with a battery.
In my opinion you need one. It protects your screen from scratches and drops. They’re pretty cheap and won’t ruin the feel of working on the screen either.
@@MsLady134 I just bought an Ipad 9th gen and this pencil, pairing couldn´t be easier, just turn on the pen and is paired. I´m pretty happy with it, I use it for drawing and it is basically the same as the original minus the pressure sensibility and it just needs an extra step in the app for a thicker or thinner line, it would´ve been nice to have that option but it just doesn´t justify the difference in prices.
That pencil tip probably takes like a few cents for Apple to make. If Apple isn't such a greedy piece of faeces, it should have bundled several tips. My $100 Chinese drawing tablet (not smartphone, but like Wacom) came with several replacement tips. $100 for the tablet, the stylus, and replacement tips.
Pressure allows you to create thin/thick lines based on how hard you press. Tilt allows you to shade better by tilting the pencil. It’s a thicker but lighter brush stroke.
No , Apple does not provide an extra tip for Apple Pencil Gen 2. (they did for Gen 1 , but then they pulled a typical Apple move and decided to not provide an extra tip for Gen 2 .)
I’ve tried Jamjake before. They have similar features. I recommend JamJake because of the price, the cheapest one is 21 dollars, it comes with the same features as the Penoval, but way cheaper, and a bit more heavy. I recommend Jamjake. (In my experience.)
Unfortunately it is not compatible with Ipad Pro 12.9" 1st and 2nd generation. I was only able to find a cheaper alternative to the Apple pencil that works on 1st and 2nd generation Ipad Pro 12.9". It is CiSiRUN Stylus. It cost me about £15 in UK. No pressure sensitivity or palm rejection but I like it. Charging is good. It has an on/off switch and a pilot light that indicates on/off and charging/fully charged when charging from a connector from a USB port. PS My Apple pencil died after 7 years. It will not charge and cannot be fixed.
get this stuff FREE SHIPPING across EU so the price is OK. Otherwise, for roughly same price (this pencil PLUS shipping) I'll get Logitech Crayon locally and no need to wait and bother myself lmfao.
I desperately need a stylus for tapping keyboard & opening apps, basically everything. I do NOT use for drawing. Having a terrible time locating a stylus for use on keyboard, etc…Need help for iPhone 13 Pro Max-medical issues make this type of use necessary. Thank you!
