Tucker combines the eloquence of a food writer, with the tastebuds of a Michelin critic, and the appetite of a hungry toddler. *We need more of this on Goodful*
@Prishaa Lakhani we seen you reply under every other comment we get it lmao get over yourself, get a life bruh imagine being so pressed over someone just being themself... i guess your life is just that pathetic
I trust Merle so much that I want her to do a low budget whole series for vegans because she nails it and takes it to a greater next level! I love her 🌸
More Tucker please, I live for his enthusiasm approaching both sandwiches!!! I'd love to see you both go head to head on tofu as the star. I've always had a dream of an Iron Chef episode, battle Tofu, all vegan! Maybe one day...
@Prishaa Lakhani Trying to get attention? Commenting "no" to whoever liked Tucker? I pity you. Let people enjoy things, life is too short to be cutting others down.
@Prishaa Lakhani Hilarious really. /s Pulling out a insult on wearing too much makeup when I never wear any and my crows feet are damn obvious? Again why are you trying so hard to be a troll? Find something to enjoy that doesn't involve being hateful.
@Prishaa Lakhani Apparently telling people to shut up doesn't work. Try a different tactic. Besides, if you hadn't commented on so many posts telling people "no" for liking something, then you wouldn't be getting so many responses. Choices have consequences. In this case, a few of us don't like being told to shut up or have our looks targeted by a random troll. But here you are. As I said originally - let people enjoy things, life is too short. If you are so dead set on being rude then be prepared to be called out. I still think you can be spending your time enjoying something that doesn't involve insulting others.
Tucker is the gay energy that this series needed. And I am totally here for it! Mainly, because this is how I react to Merle's and Rachel's videos 💜❤️💜❤️xx
Definitely making Merle's sandwich for dinner sometime soon! I'm not fully plant based (don't @ me) but pate is gross to me so this vegan option sounds way better! Super accessible too. I feel like Rachel's sandwich could be made a little less expensive... still pricey but worth it if you're really craving it.
Merle and Rachel, here's my challenge : make the best vegan omelettes! I personally love chickpea flour, mixed with asparagus (frittata con gli asparagi), however my mum in Italy used to make me "frittata di verdura" with a special green plant called "catalogna". She put mozzarella and grana cheese in it as well. I veganise it but substituteted "catalogna" with spinach (I'm in Cambodia). Mu mum also made "crocchette di patate" and "frittelle di spinaci". I used to steal them while she was still cooking.... 🤗💖🙏😊😁
Love you girls. The only thing missing it's the e-book with the recipes you made so far together and when in lockdown. Rachel's pizza for dad, still craving it. 😊
You guys should try and use tempeh in one of these series! It's really good, it has a great texture, and full of nutrients. Great videos by the way very entertaining keep it up you guys :)
Omg I need to try both sandwiches! Could definitely make Rachel’s a little cheaper with less of the vegan meats and cheeses 😂 Those sauces just looked bomb!
Can you make deli style corned beef and/or pastrami sandwiches on rye? Also I think Rachel's sandwich would work maybe with cheaper meat and cheeses in it and maybe without the truffle oil. You could make a more budget version of it. I think you should ask which sandwich tastes the best, and then which is the best value. People don't want to spend the extra money, but maybe it still tastes good, and if you have money to burn, it is interesting to know.
Do a food challenge under the same budget and then that would be a fair competition......and do cheap food because that gives vegans 2 recipes at a time that they can actually imitate at home too
This was the most entertaining challenge so far! Also, it's always worth noting the animal welfare aspect of veganism, and in this case truffle oil is not vegan friendly!
actually a lot of commercially available truffle oil doesn’t even use real truffles. of course I don’t know about the one in the video but you can probably find vegan friendly truffle oil that’s probably cheaper too. there’s apparently also truffle farms, it’s still pretty new technology so it’s not very widespread I think but that’s another option (unless the farms use pigs/dogs too)
Eep!! Tip-tap-tapping at the pronunciation of Worcestershire sauce!!! Brits pronounce it very strangely, but since they invented it, they get to call it whatever they want. And it's pronounced "Wustesher"(ish).
Im Vietnamese and Had been watching your vegan contents since last year, I’m so glad you like our culture food, like Bánh mì pate, your inspired me to make more vegan food for my family, I want to prove with my grandparents and Parents that vegan don’t mean you just eat leaves👏🏼✨
Omg I get so excited to see Rachel and Merle together. Your taste tester was a treat too. I’d love to see you both try making foods like Korean or Japanese vegan foods.
After watching this, I feel I should withdraw all my life savings and keep making BOTH. Forever. That mushroom patè is epic! You girls really shouldn't lead people into bankruptcy, tho...
i dont get the point of making these type of videos when on the expensive part you always add a random super expensive ingrediente that is almost 50% of the budget, when it makes really no difference to the taste of the recipe.
I'd love to see you ladies do some kind of breakfast food-off! I dunno what food nor whether sweet or savory, I'll leave those decisions for you pros, but some kind of weekend breakfast item
Please do cheap vs expensive state fair foods!! This is the time of year that most state fairs happen, try to make the best vegan fair food at different budgets!
Since each ingredient is such a small amount yes. But to actually make it you'd have to buy a whole thing of Worcestershire, a whole thing of tofu, etc. Not just the 1 tsp or the 1/3 block. But the actual amount used for the sammich is only $4
I love Tucker and that you guys tried each other’s sandwiches in the end. I’d love to see the other persons option (ie if Merle won the coin toss to be expensive what she would’ve made instead)
