For everyone that hasn’t played Pdh yet, if there is a blue player, get rid of their graveyard if you can, treasure cruise is so powerful, and as a blue pdh player, I can tell you letting me get my treasure cruise is practically gg. So much card advantage

Yessssss the Professor doing more PDH videos is the best timeline! PDH is also the best format that has some some of the most welcoming and open armed communities ever! Third Path Iconoclast is a super strong commander that does some serious work. Already popping up with a pretty big winrate and up there with some of the tried and true real threats of the format. Awesome list but we would love to see a cheeky little Mightstone in this deck to really beef up some combat steps. Really hope to see a Shuffle Up and Play with some hot and spicy PDH action sometime in the future. Maybe even a game of PDH together with the Pals in Vegas???? Now that would be incredible

Keep Watch is a nice add to the draw effects if you or your opponent has easy attacks. A very underrated common for any blue deck, but this deck could benefit greatly from it.

Me and my LGS playgroup often do Pauper and Free For All (EDH, CEDH and Pauper all get to play at their own peril) and it's one of the best ways to break the game without breaking the budget or being locked into loving a creature but knowing it'll never become a Commander.

May I also suggest Clout of the Dominus as an underrated cheap way to protect your RU commanders. Additionally Muddle the mixture is a fantastic PDH counter as it can also be transmuted for anything 2cmc. Been playing PDH for a while now and I love that it’s getting more attention.

The funny thing is ... i'm currently playing a deck on Arena that uses the same effects and as i'm watching this I'm working on a EDH decklist that essentially builds on the same mechanics. The strategy has major weaknesses when playing against decks that rely heavily on enchantments. There are two cards in the list that can bounce them back and hopefully counter them with the two/three answers that you might or more likely might not have in at hand.

Honestly I think witty toastmaster is a solid include in regular EDH especially if you've got a damage multiplier like city on fire or fiery emancipation

What's funny is the Witty Roastmaster does the damage himself so if you enchant him with a Curiosity effect or even more wild a Phyresis, the whole table feels the pain real quick!

metallic rebuke might be good in this list since the tokens from third path are artifacts. As long as you have 2 of them then metallic rebuke is just a better spell pierce

Balmor is a super strong commander! Could easily work with a couple switches like adding a cheeky Kiln Fiend and other creatures like him that go hard with spells and free trample

i love PDH i dont know anyone who plays it.. but i love the idea of making a deck out of basic cards that dont cost a lot and having a really fun time. iv been running budgeted commanders because of you and its been really fun making them work and building with cards you like never see anyone play, or when someone is like "wth does that card do" and then you show them and they say "woah thats cool" and you only spent like 50 cents on it. like i took a like 2/3 mana dork and put Gigantification on it because i didnt find any of my big creatures so then im beating you in the face with a 22/23 mana dork for 25 cents. it would be absolutely lovely to have a Shuffle Up And Play with all PDH decks. iv built a few after your video explaining it.

It's an amazing format. The price of entry being so cheap makes it super easy to find and build any number of commanders that speak to you! That's how we ended up with around 200+ decks.

I haven't played physical Magic in ten years or so. Ever since I lost my collection in a car wreck one evening, after leaving a draft, I just gave it up. But all the new things I've been seeing in the past decade has me excited. I would get back into it if I had some cards, but right now, things are so expensive. So it is hard for a dad with a seven month old son to afford this 😅

Satyr's Cunning is actually better than described at 6:45 (which is not to knock the video, but rather prop up the keyword more); Escape is not exactly like Unearth, since you only exile _other_ cards to cast the one that escapes. If you have a sorcery like Satyr's Cunning, you can cast it as many times as you can afford! (exiling cards and paying mana every time). Neat video! I didn't think of Pauper EDH as something that could be pretty fun, but now it seems it might be! Other cards like Tamanoa would also make for excellent commanders, though :p But it's a fun twist on the format!

Unfortunately, Tamanoa has only ever been printed at rare, so it can't be a pauper commander. Would be pretty amazing if it got downshifted to uncommon, though
