Love how the hutch turned out! Normally I newspaper and tape off chicken and hardware cloth so it doesn't get painted. But I love how it looks painted haha!

THAT ROOF IS SOOOO BIG ! Poor Zeb! Does he have another helper besides you Jami? Maybe a “Roof Rising Party” is needed !!! 😬 Your Dad is out and about.... bravo !!! I went out of my comfort zone this morning and ordered COLORED PAINT !!! Not just White Swan and Little Black Dress ! The Bohemian Blue opened my world ! LOL!!!! Nope just Jami and the occasional neighbor. But I’m pretty handy and willing to do what I can to pitch in and help. We’re half way there on the roof. Jami took most of the shingles off by herself and the neighbors came over to help her finish.

Jami Ray Vintage Well Zeb, my contractor was like you, he did it all by himself too! Most of the renovating of our home was done by a single man, late 30’s . I guess when you get to your mid 60’s and early 70’s we forget the stamina we “use to have” in the younger days! God bless your strength and praying for safety up on that roof ! 🙏🙏

Wow there are no dark areas in that home at night! It’s so cheery. So about 11-12” of insulation? I’m glad you opened up the ceiling, that multipurpose room is gorgeous big but still cozy. Great job as always Ray’s! ❤️❤️👏

It’s so funny you didn’t distress . I just did my first piece for friends a dresser and mirror without distressing. I kinda wanted to see if I could do it because as you know distressing hides a multitude of sins. It has turned out great. I love that hutch, you can’t beat a $49 find and all the white lights are the ceiling is Amazing!

Be careful with insulation around can lights. When they overheat they will shut themselves off. You can use sand to fill in lows spots under your sod, it should filter through.

Just to let you know, I cancelled my membership and it expires on the 22nd. I asked RU-vid to change my payment day to the 5th of the month. So great to see your progress! Agree re closed cell insulation- I don’t know how the price of open vs closed compares these days, but we’ve used both, and for us at least, the closed seemed like a better product.

It's coming along great! Question - looking for the wood carving disc you used when making vintage looking cutting boards. The only one at Harbor Freight has a chain-saw like around the disc and is $40. Would there be another name for the one you used?

Hi. I'm new to your channel. Wow...I am blown. Y'all are so talented. Totally inspiring me to DIY my current furniture. Question, I have an entertainment center from Target that I want to paint lighter. The description says it's: Espresso Hardwood, wood composite. Can this be redone? Thank guys!

Should be able to be painted. It’s hard to say without seeing it. If the finish is really shiny you could use Salvation Solution primer or give it a light sand. Careful with the sanding though. That ceiling is just amazing! Get a very long broom handle. I had a ceiling we exposed the old native lumber & put linseed oil on it for sealer. And the only way I found to clean it, was a stiff straw broom. Anything else just stuck to it.. they are cobweb catchers...Kitchen cabinet, perfect.. mowing stinks.. but grass beautiful. Lighting perfect. Cement priceless.. ♡
