As someone who started with a landscaping business, and then through all the ups and downs of the past 20 years, all the failures, successes and failures again, don't ever give up. Solid work ethic will negate everything negative in life. And lastly, to everyone watching these videos saying they're ready to start something for their own... get off your computer/phone right now, and TAKE ACTION. That's how it happens. I'll say it again.. TAKE ACTION! You all got this!!

@@glen603 Bro, I love your mindset/knowledge. I wished you lived close by. You are the kind of person I like to surround myself with. You are 100% right. Set the phone down and take action. No one’s coming to help us or save us. If we want something we have to take action and go out to get it. Where are you located? Still in landscaping?

@@Nothing2Somthing I appreciate that! Definitely surround yourself with like minded people, and people that are where you want to be. It's cliche advice but it's worth saying. I moved on from Landscaping after several years of it and got involved with other businesses. Made a lot of mistakes along the way and still making new ones but learning every step of the way. I’m currently 21 I started doing my handyman business at 19 but I wasn’t getting enough jobs and consistently losing bids to keep it going, now I’m currently working for a flooring company (started June of this year),I do intend on gaining capital and starting my business back up. I think my marketing sucks for my business that’s why it failed because I was able to maintain a 5 star review 500 plus jobs later. Don’t give up, don’t give in. You got this! Appreciate your content man and all your hard work. I have since finding your channel started a business plan, working on flyers and cards. Looking at legalities, insurance and all that jazz. I want to make sure I’m going about it the right way and not have to take steps backwards. But I’m learning lol Trying to build funds for equipment or look into a small start up loan to get cheap stuff. Like truck, trailer, mower etc I’m starting from nothing. Literally have 27 dollars to my name and no job. Sadly I am gonna have to work for a little before I can make a move into working for myself. Sucks because I want to do this so bad

Hey my brother. You continue to land good money. That yard is considered a yard clean up which demands more time and money. Here are some tips. Before using the weed eater on tall grass. Use your mower first at the highest deck setting. Then use the weed eater around the edges to blend in the height of your mowed cut. You can turn your weed eater vertically on fence and the house foundation in addition to a horizontal trim. Since the grass was high do not use your bagger. Make 2 or 3 cuts to mulch up the clippings on top of the grass. You can lower your deck lower on each cut if you like. There is more money to be made on that property. Some hedge and light tree trimming to make the yard aesthetically nice. You will learn as you go.
@Nothing2Somthing
@Nothing2Somthing 2 месяца назад
@@ErnestPerez-rg2uo Yes sir. This was shot a bit ago. I have since been back and that’s exactly what I did. Mowed it first then used the weed eater. Thank you so much for the pointers and I appreciate your continuous support. Yes, I definitely am learning as I go. All of you giving pointers helps as well. More to come soon.
@ErnestPerez-rg2uo
@ErnestPerez-rg2uo 2 месяца назад
@@Nothing2Somthing I allow the condition of the lawn dictate what power tool I will use first. In your case the lawnmower would be first because you need to be able to see the yard. I would do the first cut. Then use the weed eater that will make a mess but will allow you to blend with the first cut. Then I would make the second mower cut lowering the deck and mulching all the debris from the weed eater along with the debris of grass clippings. Repeat as needed. This is why the cost of a yard clean up is more than a lawn maintenance cut. In the front yard, I use the blade edger first on sidewalks and driveways. Then the weed eater on perimeters. Then I use the blower to blow all debris on the yard. Then finally the lawnmower will mulch or bag the mess while cutting. Repeat the cut if needed to make it look clean. Most inexperienced people leave grass clippings that will look awful when it drys. I repeat with the blower to finish up. The front yard is usually the show piece but not always. There is a real skill in lawn maintenance. Most homeowners are unskilled and are just running the lawnmower over the jungle. Most don’t know the cutting height for their lawn during the seasons with their particular type grass.
