Id keep the roadside ekit the maglite (prob. Just needs batteries)and at least check the c.h. air pump. Big$$$$to buy outright j.m.o.(just my opinion.)love your content though sub for life!
When you throw that emergency case out with stuff thats good, then youre just wasting things that are just fine really. (saw that on the second house also, dont like that just give it away)
That brings back memories of a 1990 ford f150 my grandpa had. I was visiting one time and he was showing me his old truck back 15 or 20 years ago. He stood in front if it and the truck started up lol I was like how did you do that after joking around he had a push button outside of his grill. Thanks for bringing back memories of my grandpa.
5:26 might be one of my favourite RU-vid moments ever. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Randy could have been getting a medal from the White House and I doubt he would have exploded in joy as pure as that. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Randy, Great job troubleshooting the electrical. You deserve the fruits of your labor. Glad too see you express your happiness. As I have said before, 2020 is going to be a great year. Good luck and God speed!
every time randy says "oh my god" take a shot of whiskey , by 18:12 you've probably died ........ that compressor was a rechargeable one , well handy !!!!
Nice. I remember when I bought my '99 LeSabre and wone guy said an old man's car, but it was so comfortable, especially after replacing struts and springs, with plenty of room and even got 30 MPG on the highway. Too bad it rusted out. Such is life here in NY. I also like my latest '07 Galant. Been very good so far and replaced springs and struts on it as well. Yeah, I know you can't afford to that, but also know you replace what you find important. Thanks for sharing and best of luck.
I owned a 2000 lincoln town car for almost 10 years. One of the most reliable cars I ever owned. It may be slow, but the panther platform is dead nuts reliable if you take a little bit of care and the trunk is huge! A little cleaning and you should make a mint off that mercury Randy!
I’m rewatching all the Mercury GRand Marquis videos AFAIN (3rd or 4th time); Randy you really don’t know just how much I really wanted to own this car. I “was” so into the Crown Vic’s until I rode in a Grand Marquis in 95/96 and immediately wanted one!!! I wish I could have taken it off your hands a few months ago. I wish I was the neighbor you gave it to for watching your AAR HQ’s.
i had a 86 Crown Vic and now a 03 grande marquie is just as good or better than the ford but she blew her transmission 4 grand to fix it but great car person owned before didnt take care of it
You scored big on that Grand Marquis. That's $2k-$2.5k in Houston all day! I always like seeing you win on these deals. Shout out to Austin! Good people
The ford panther platform will go down as the most underrated car of the last hundred years , solid and reliable as well as comfortable and safe. The quality is far better than Caddilac as well! in 22 years I have only replaced the plastic intake manifold and the heat/ AC blend door actuator and the wiper motor, That is it.
Hey I have a 2000 with 215000 miles and they are such great cars. I have the non leather Gs version but a great car non the less and I just bought those exact rims with new tires for 120. Drove from Baltimore to Delaware for such a sweet deal
I have been looking at these Grand Marquis for quite awhile Best I've seen is not a nice as yours and they are running $2500 to $3000 easy. What a find! I'm jealous! You needed a really heavy duty pair of gloves and then a gallon of hand sanitizer!
Dude! That's a Great Ant-theft device :) My old 71' LTD I had a start push button cuz the ignition was stripped and just with the key in just spin around!
Randy you have some Great luck! Its a Fantastic buy for what you paid for.. I love the old big cars... you should have put the flashlight and the kit and the compresser and spot light out and let them dry They were prob all good and work some $$
It actually is just grounding the starter solenoid like we did in old cars with a screwdriver but some old school guys still like to have a remote switch to keep from going in and out of the car while working on them .
53 thumbs down wtf think randy u need to do a clean out of negative subscribers .man is trying and this is a class video .love the car man really clean and u got a deal on it randy .love from Ireland buddy
Hey just a thought i recently got 99 grand marquis The car had been sitting in the field for years because alternator wasn't charging and come to find out the alternator was actually good. It was the dash preventing the alternator from charging The solder points on the back of the digital - crack and usually causes the battery light to come on and also other lights to sporadically come on speedometer resets to zero so just take a look at that as well if you got one of these cars. Respectfully,
I'm also glad to hear you are concerned about what your neighbors might say (or the HOA). I don't think I'd ever go for living in a neighborhood that had (at least an active) HOA. I probably could park about 10 cars/trucks in my garage, driveway and paved space on the side of my house but we don't wanna be "that guy" with all the vehicles that don't get driven (the proverbial "classic" project car in the drive) or are parked in front of the house. Wishing you much success here in 2020. I think we'd like an update on the "summer place" / AAR HQ too!
It was bugging me, but they might have done it for another reason - if they lived with roommates that wouldn't stop taking their car, that would sure stop them (until they saw the owner popping the hood to start it). There might be other bizarre reasons too.
@@jimnielsen4076 The person that previously drove this car was either really poor or really dumb about cars... I think maybe it was an idiot kid or some homeless guy living in this car?
I paid 2200 for my 97 with 137k on it. I’ve put major audio in it over 4K so far. Ya swapn Alts is easy. You can stuff a XSpower d7500 under the hood with minimal modifications. Modern classic!!
Man I would love to buy that Mercury. The current vehicle I'm driving got tboned in the cab and bed. But it's what I have to use. Better than nothing. Great score Randy 👍. I'm glad we don't have smell-o-vision!!!!
Years ago I had a similar Grand Marquis GS. cloth interior. Wheel covers gone. Beat up. Quick glance you would think detective car. Repo. Paid 1800. Drove it 3-4 months. Sold it for $2200. Back in 2012.
I'm not a tax professional or anything, but one thing you can consider when you transfer the car to your LLC is to do it as a 'capital investment'. It basically adds to an internal account that keeps track of your $$ invested into the LLC. Then later, if your LLC makes money, you can take back the investment as a 'return of capital' (not to be confused with 'return on capital'). This amount returned back is not taxed as it is effectively taking back what you had put in earlier. So, for example, if you have a year where you made too much with your LLC, you can use some of that taxable income to pay back your capital investment, which lowers your taxable income and allows you to take back some of the money you put in as investment.
She's beautiful I would keep her. Put you some lite tints aftermarket head unit and leave it alone maybe some shocks looks like she squatting in the rear
And that right there is exactly why the fleets loved these. Easy to fix, good on fuel and lots of power. I would think it should bring $2500. I've seen these with 300,000 + miles and still going.
Precision trac is the limited slip rear end called trac-lok by Ford. You got a smoking deal car is worth atleast $4000 car should also have dual exhaust and firmer suspension . Great buy. Pull the whole carpet out and see how it looks under there...might wanna address that.. they tend to rust in the trunk especially if wet
Damn that's a nice car, I got to say even though I'm a Chevy guy. I bought one one time I miss it. It was like driving two couches down the highway, and if I would have known and paid attention do your videos LOL I have an alternator for that car, only a few thousand miles and just sitting around for a few years, I took it off before mine went to the scrap yard because it was brand new. I'd get another one if I can afford it to broke at the moment to afford anything, except the air I breathe. Brought back the memories with this one Randy! 👍😉 by the way there a great car mine drove excellent got great gas mileage for a big boat had a bad alternator on it when I got it other than that there wasn't hardly any problems, even with a quarter million miles on the odometer. I accidentally killed mine I didn't replace the rear sway bar links, I figured there sway bar links who cares it just helps with handling, well the rear sway bar was pivoting the rear axle and hitting the cover and put a crack in it I lost all my rear end fluid and the rear end went out because I didn't replace sway bar links or wire up the sway bar . 😢
a used michelin emergency kit just like the one you found is 23$ on ebay without the tyre compressor so you like throwed 40$ to the trash where it was like perfectly usable and just needed a wipe with a cloth and some sun dry
All these walk around ate great. If I want to see a rebuild I'll watch goonsquad. I don't see how u can possibly do all u do. Watch aost everyday. Merry christmas
That alternator may have worked after you replace the ignition fuse may still be a good alternator because it wouldn’t work with no signal from the ignition love the channel
thats what i paid formine Mecerury 4.6ltr engine1500.00 butit needed body work id do itin spring but tranny gaveout reall ticked me off loved the car 21years old rode like a dream wowo
Told ya it was the alternator. Owned 3 p71 platforms. For the trunk you might want to remove the carpet liner , and purple power soak and pressure wash and let dry in the sun.
Randy - I would'ntget too excited. Most times, fuses don't just blow, especially more than one fuse. There is a reason they are blowing so you'll more than likely still need to find the source of the problem that's causing the fuses to pop. Hopefully, I'm wrong but I would at least check into that.
What a score on the Grand Marquis. That thing really turned out nice. Please consider pulling the trunk liner out and pressure washing it and cleaning and sanitizing underneath it, that stuff that was in it was pretty nasty. I think you’re short-changing yourself on the price for the Grand Marquis, too. I’d think that’d be an easy $3500 to $4000 car. Also, if it’s your car lot neighbor that hasn’t been doing the work you previously paid him for that is needing the car, I’d personally steer clear of that deal myself.
That Michelin tool set was brand new and is worth at least 50$. Randy, please dry it and return it back to the trunk, it could be additional worth to this nice car and the new owner ;)
