$5 Indian Street Food Hunt in Chennai (FULL DAY OF EATING!) 🇮🇳 

Some say that Chennai is second only to Delhi when it comes to India's best street food. As I had just arrived in the south, I wanted to see whether the cuisine could rival that of the north.
Not only is it meant to be delicious, but with prices so affordable, I wanted to see how far my budget would stretch for a full day's eating...
I stated with Idli Sambar for breakfast at the city's famous Ratna Cafe, before heading to Basha Halwawala to try Indian sweets after a quick glass of sugar cane juice.
I later went towards Mint Street for an authentic taste of Old Madras, sampling candy floss, aloo tikki, pani puri, and Chennai's award winning best lassi recipe.
My favourite though was undoubtedly the beef seekh kebab - rumali roti - at Kabab Centre. The guys there were so hospitable that they wouldn't let me pay!
To round things off, there was just enough time before sunset to head towards Besant beach for a walk on the sand - and a Turkish mud coffee cooked in it too, topped with nutella and other delicious sweets.
I don't think I spent more than $5 eating some of India's best street food in a full day of eating in Chennai - truly incredible!
