I'm Mac Madzima and I believe I'm the first real backpacker from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 . My dream of backpacking around the world started when I came to India for my theater studies 🎭 and I fell in love with the people 👨‍👩‍👧 , place and the culture🪘🥘 there and I decided to travel 🎒✈️ the whole of India 🇮🇳 🌏 but because I'm a student 🙇🏾‍♂️ 📚 , my funds 💰 would not be enough so I decided to look for the easiest way to see the country and from there onward, I just decided to travel the around India and the world 🗺 🌍 as a whole, using the cheapest way possible and why not document it on video 📹

Eh I got scammed a few days ago in my own town(perumbavoor) I was tired so didn't argue.in Thrissur they charge less and friendly.idk why municipality ain't enforcing them to use meter charge

In Kerala they over charge everyone. We do not have a bargaining culture here. So basically they are officially scamming everyone and we just go along with it because we do not want any drama especially on a hot sunny tired day.

it's actually heartwarming to see tourist speak about kerala. usually most of the foreigners only know about north side of india like the busy cities like delhi and mumbai but we have beautiful places here in southern part especially kerala. kerala is very big too that you won't be able to actually cover all parts....there are spots that are hidden gems in kerala going to those places with a local person who's willing would be actually nice. even as a keralite i wouldn't say i've seen all part of kerala as it is very big and there's a lot more for me to explore. even kerala people go on tours in different districts within kerala. kerala has 14 districts so yeaa it's big to explore all.

Great video brother. I'm a keralite watching it from Ireland. I'm so happy and proud that our youths are so well mannered and friendly to our visitors. Living in a western country for over a decade, i can tell you that the youths here are the rudest bunch one could ever encounter as a tourist. Not to mention when they are in big groups like these. They can be dangerous! As a matter of fact, that's the norm in almost all the countries. A big shout out to the youths in there. Kudos guys.. you guys really made me and any other indians, particularly Keralites, very proud.

Trust in all the months I have stayed in India, Kerala stands out in almost everything, the smiles, the cleanliness, the hospitality, the food, landscape, and the culture only to mention few. Honestly speaking Kerala is now my second home abroad. I met the best people there. The youths and even the elders are so so humble and are ready to have a chat with you and assist you. The vibe there is just totally different. It's relaxed and everyone is just having a good time. Even at the University that I recently visited in Thrissur, the students there were just awesome. Words cannot even describe how beautiful the time there was. Kerala will always be home 🤞🏾💚💫🙏

That Palampori Akka's reaction (Aaaaah!?) when you said "Kithna paise" reflects the complex language dynamics in India. I can suggest the tourists to use English in any of the south-Indian states (atleast I can speak for Tamilnadu).

Kerala is very different from other states in many aspects. A well educated crowd of people who were migrated to different part of world brought so much goodness back to Kerala. Youngsters are so vibrant and intellectually upward. I am so proud to call myself a malayalee. I am currently in Canada but I will definitely keep talking about my hometown to everyone who wants to travel. Kerala is an emotion.. Food, weather even the wind. Hope things will never change.

I am from Tamil Nadu and I love Kerala a lot! My cousins are Mallu Muslims!! The entire state is fully green and is a lot more cleaner than Chennai (honestly one of the most polluted places in the entire country). I come to Kerala during the end of that ramadan month and the time when Muslims stop fasting and eat goat biryani!

Glad to see you liked South India brother. I lived in Maun, Botswana for a year when my Grandfather was a Doctor there. I consider Africa my second home, its so beautiful and so many kind people. We have visited Zimbabwe to see Victoria Falls, many times. India and Africa are very similar.

Hi! There's a Tamil (another group of South Indian people; neighboring state of Kerala) and South African couple here on RU-vid, and when I first saw South African streets in their vlogs, I was like wow, this place is so much like India, so similar to where I grew up 🥰❤️ The streets, the sun, so many things were alike 😆 And even we speak loudly, generally hahaha. So I could totally empathize with you when you were talking about the vibes being similar to Zimbabwe 😊

Kerala is suitable for both luxury and budget travellers. You have budget travel facilities like government bus, train, and boats. Auto people are generally friendly and good, but some may charge you high. There are uber in some major towns. You need to spend at leave 1-2 days in the following places for a better experience. Kottayam: Kumarakom Trivandrum: Zoo, Kovalam, Poovar, etc Alleppey: House boats, alleppey beach Cochin: Fort Kochi, fishing nets, Jew street /synagogue, water metro, marine drive, Cherai beach, vypin island. Idukki: Munnar, Thekkadi, wagomon Thrissur: pechi dam, guruvayoour elephant fort, athirapally water falls, Palakkad: Nelliyampathi, kollengode , Wayanad: Many places Kannur: Bakel fort. So basically you can split your visits into two different timing so that you can cover this beautiful state. There are many other good places I missed . Others can add to this list

Just a small tip: There's a history of North Indian people who generally speak Hindi, and also the existing central government imposing it on the southern states, along with discriminatory, colorist behavior towards us, South Indians. So, you might get a few uneasy looks speaking Hindi in the South, haha. But people here are very nice and understanding. Kerala is the most developed state in India in terms of education, sex ratio, and more. So, they would have figured out you weren't meaning any harm. When you learn a few words in Malayalam and use those with them, they would definitely be happy and pleased 🩷. This applies not just in Kerala but in any other state where a particular language is spoken predominantly 😊 Your videos are so positive and sweet! All the best 🩷

Oh yeah how can it be a video of kerala without demeaning the hindi and modi govt. Modi govt surely trying to impose hindi by declaring Tamil older than Sanskrit and learning phrases in all Southern languages at that age. Yeah central govt is imposing hindi by allowing Southern states to speak in their very own language in parliament. Central govt surely doesn't develop south with so many expressways and bullet train corridors in the making. Oh yeah the damned modi govt!

Very Good video bro . Just a note you said you see catholic for first time but all the boys you saw with English name are probably catholic as well .There was a big Portuguese influence which converted the Syrian Orthodox Christian denomination of people into Catholicism .Christianity is believed to have been first come to Kerala by the arrival of St Thomas the Apostle . Kerala also has obviously Hinduism but Islam as well which spread through trade to Kerala as it was part of the Spice trade .
