I am from Australia but live in HK. After a lot of negativity in the last few years, it was so refreshing to see you portray beautiful HK in such a positive light. I got to 'roll back' to before the crazy years and look at HK again with fresh and wondrous eyes. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot to us. We’ve always loved Hong Kong and even though things are not the same, we still feel it’s a beautiful city worth visiting with lots of history and culture that are deeply rooted in the people (and food!).
Thanks for sharing this! I am a HongKonger and have been living in Toronto for two decades , went back to Hong Kong for visit only few times. I will definitely try this out when I am in HK next time. Thanks again Flora and Note! Enjoy your trip!
Hong Kong does have one of the most beautiful skylines in the world. The junk boat is so beautiful, and the fancy dim sums are looking delicious To be honest Hong Kong skyline is much more beautiful than New York skyline in my opinion. The HK Observation Wheel is so cool. Thank you Flora and Note for bringing us subscribers another great video in HK. I'm really enjoying this series.
I had the privilege of living and working in HK for 6 years in the early 2000s. This video brings back fond memories although so much of the harbour has been reclaimed. Queen's Pier in those days used to be right behind the Post Office and City Hall buildings and just about where the ferries wheel is right now. They were already demolishing the pier just before i left HK. The city is still as beautiful as ever, and will forever be my second home.
Great video! Great narration! We truly enjoyed this little trip with you. I hope we'll get a chance to visit HK again and get on that cruise this time. 😊
Thank you guys, yet another great video. You really do capture how wonderful my most favorite city in the world is. I'm really looking forward to my trip back to HK in March/April. Thank You
@@FloraandNote I have a Sports Travel Business here in the UK and I have been escorting my customers every year for many years (Covid years aside) to the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens. I can remember the moment when I actually fell in love with Hong Kong. It was my first visit in 2004 - on a clear warm evening as I was sitting on the Avenue Of Stars Kowloon, overlooking Hong Kong Island. I thought to myself how lucky I was to see this view and I just didn't want that moment to end.
Love my hometown! So nice to see that there are still so many things to do and HK has still so much to share with everyone (even things that I have yet to do!) Happy travels you two! - Also, love the idea of doing a meet-up; I am in need to travel again haha
I initially planned on visiting HK, instead of just a mere layover, in January 2023 but when I was not able to reach my former employer, who I am not sure if he's still alive or not, I scrapped my plan. Watching your HK videos seems like HK is waving at me, calling me. It's been 20 years since I left HK for Canada but lately, HK has been on my radar. I have until the day of my flight, whether or not to visit and linger for maybe a week in HK prior to flying to my destination, Manila. I'll see... Thank you for sharing your video.
Im a new subscriber. Its so great watch someone you showing you around a place they are passionate about. I can see in your videos how much you love HK.
Thanks for showing us the new attractions (dim sum junk cruise and ferris wheel). Depending on how much time you have on this trip, please consider going to Macau and doing a video on that.
Absolutely love this boat. Yummy dim sum. Absolutely love being on the water and view. What a great $$ count me in. Ridding the Farris wheel. Absolutely loved every minute. Nice touch playing with the monkey.
Flora bring Note to the Ngong Ping. Go to the Buddha Hill. (The Big Buddha is a large bronze statue of Buddha, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong. The statue is sited near Po Lin Monastery and symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and faith. It is a major centre of Buddhism in Hong Kong, and is also a tourist attraction). At Ngong Ping you can take the Cable Car with Glass Bottom and enjoy the scenic view of the Hong Kong Airport and Lantau Island. Enjoy!
There’s indeed a glass flooring cable car in Hk 😊 thanks for showing us what HK is like now! I used to visit often yearly but haven’t been there since 2019:(
Was last in HK in Oct 2019, been there 2x previously. Took the bus from Guangzhou to HK, very convenient (shot video of it). I especially liked exploring the outlying islands in HK besides enjoying the hustle & bustle of the city.
@@FloraandNote i'm not much of a food person due to my allergies but going there mostly for sight seeing so excited to get on star ferry see victoria harbour and victoria peak. Are you planning on doing a video on how to get to Lantau Island because am planning to visit the Disneyland Park
We love the star ferry! We take it every opportunity we have. We aren’t doing a video specifically on Lantau Island but it’s super easy to get to Disneyland because it’s well connected by train.
Hiya. Flora and Note. Beautiful boat. The food looked delicious. What a great experience. The observation wheel is big. Epic views. No way to the glass floor. I could not go on it to start with. 😆🤣Heights are not my thing. ☺ Thank you for sharing. Hope you made the toilet, Note. 😅 Lovely video. Have a Wonderflo day. 🤗
Awesome video! Can you share where and how you booked your tickets? How many days did you have to book in advance and do you have to print out your tickets ahead of time? Thanks! :)
Hi Note & Flora. I had been to party at ICC building before at Ozone Bar, I think on 118Fl (If i not wrong about it ) . Also visit Sky lines 100 there. Actually we ever lives there at one of the building beside ICC call LUNA Sky. Note mention about glass floor for Ferris wheel I think one place he can see the view scene from glass floor will be cable car that go up to Big Bhuda, the one close by City gate . Thanks, for video that take me to explore and update HK about new stuff and also I hope we can visit next year when all restrictions life. Have fun guy.
Ad of Aqua group checked, Ad of Squarespace checked for sure, Ad of AIA (lived in HK for 14 years and never visited this "Ferris Wheel") checked. Yeah: catch the boat and take a ride on mediocre ferris wheel are the definitely the "thinds you can do this" in Hong Kong. Only...
So appreciate that you bring your boyfriend to visit HK. i know the Cheung bo jai boat at HK just now. i want to try it but that is little bit expensive. you can try the ngong ping 360 next time. that is beautiful view also. thanks for your recommended HK this negativity city to your audience
Not been to HK for many years. We always stayed at The New World Harbour View hotel, which used to be on the Harbour front. When we were last there, 1998 I think, totally amazed that the Convention center had been in front of the hotel on reclaimed land!!! The hotel no longer had a harbour view unless you were staying above floor 12!! I believe it has changed the name now 😄😄
Curious if you were born in HK Flora? Your Cantonese is pretty good (compared to mine 😬). My parents brought me to the states a few days before I turned 1yo so I’m basically like an ABC.
Taipei has some glass bottom gondola's near the Taipei Zoo area, if you have not done them yet/ you should, along with about a thousand other things around Taiwan when you visit.
@@FloraandNote if you go when it is hot outside, visit Suao, (south of Ilan) for the Cold Spring, (there is both a cold spring park/ closed when we were there in 2018, and Japanese style private soaking rooms behind the park to one side. // if it is cold when you go, there are many hot springs/ went to one near La La Shan, Xing Xing Nung Chang area once in a river bed with rocks to let river water in for temperature adjustment. **and still a thousand more things to do. BTW the Suao cold spring is naturally bubbly water, and only one of two in the world have that happening.
Awesome video guys! I was in HK eight years ago when they had the peaceful protests, and sadly Central area was blocked so I didn't get to go to the peak. It is a beautiful view from there! I agree that being on a boat is a great way to see HK skyline. Do they still have the light show that you can see from the Kowloon side, that was epic. I didn't get to go on the wheel either. Great video as usual! I'm just watching it now for some odd reason I missed this one.
Glad you enjoyed this one, Jody! Yes, they still have the light show every night. There's even a night cruise that allowsyou to enjoy the light show from the harbour :)
Hi! Do you happen to know if it’s okay to do these activities while you are still on 3 day self monitoring / amber code? We are gonna visit HK on January for just a few days, and I’m now a little stressed finding things we can do on the 1st 3 days 😅
After spending about 2 years travelling in Asia, two cities I would NEVER want to visit again are Bombay and Hong-Kong... each for different reasons, but basically because of the constant harassing for my money...
