I am the same size(10.5 UK), if you have any more shoes that you dont need, I would welcome them. 67 year old pensioner, trying to get 3.15 time😂

Having another runner close to your ability that wears the same shoe size is great. I've been able to swap shoes with a local runner when certain shoes just don't work for us. Traded my Boston 12's for a pair of Endo Pro 3's, neither of which worked for us. But after swapping, we both got shoes that work perfectly for us. So glad you were able to get a pair of Evo's, hopefully with a good training block it's the last missing piece of the puzzle for you to hit Sub 2:20!

Just like to say it shows how much your liked in the running community , your a down to earth guy very humble and have a amazing family I feel honoured to follow you on here also the guy who gave them to you is a awesome dude very unselfish knowing they could be wasted on him plus he could of gave them to 1 of his mates or maybe sold them on eBay??? But either way he choose you cause of the reasons above as for breaking 2,20 I would think that is more you than shoe all I can say is give it your best shot dude 💪💪💪

They feel great , little bit less protection under feet, traction for wet surface is not that great (the elites have a different outsole )They fit small , also the pro 3 is better in corners , had a bit of a heel slip. other than that adidas did an amazing job, they are so Light under feet, makes you fly almost. Ran 1 marathon in them and i m sure you can run a 2nd one in them , they will be fine (seems to be a chance the energy rods can break) No PB in them , but a very solid Rotterdam marathon. The pro 4 will be a shoe to watch out for. Interesting to see how they will help you forward. Good luck and have fun.

Good idea to try them in a 5K first. From what have heard from runners who have used them is that they don't "disintegrate" after one run. TBH that was all part of the hype.

Respectfully Nick, understand that you're in partnership with the brand but in under no circumstance should a shoe ever come with this price tag for running. It's unacceptable, people please wake up. If you don't stand up and do something about it's only a matter of time until brands keep pumping up prices for no reason. What people don't understand is that the margin on these shoes are absolutely nowhere near the RRP!!!

It does blow my mind the price of shoes these days but what blows my mind is that they sell like crazy. So the demand is there and runners are investing big time in their kit and training.

Actually I’ve heard from a couple of different sources that Adidas are losing $700+ on each Pro Evo. They are that expensive to make.

Artificially restricting them and pricing them high helps creating marketing and social media buzz and coverage which would easily be recouped by Adidas regardless of cost to make them. The real profit comes from the mass market model shoes when they come out and say they leverage technology from this. Let’s face it, it’s a shoe with lighter materials that breakdown quickly, it’s not rocket science and every runners needs/wants are different.

Respectfully @RaffaRuns, no one is forcing you to buy them mate. These are elite shoes. The market is self policing. If Adidas price themselves out of the market, a competitor will fill the space. In the interim, props to Adidas for pushing the boundary. Us mere mortals will stick to the AP3 🤣

this shoes are disgrace. Next time someone gonna invent shoe for 10.000 for one marathon and it will be a new standard. Sponsored athletes gonna have it and rest of the runners will be behind, because of lack of money. Like pre carbon era athletes is behind now, not because they where not so good, no. Because of technical doping allowed nowadays. Adidas = money sport. It is not about who is better, it is who is richer . New marketing model from Adidas

Let’s be honest, a pair of shoes for $500 that’s basically single use (for a marathon) is not worthy at all. However, if you told someone it’ll give you a very good chance to break your PB at your physical peak…. It’s possibly worth it. But there’s so many other factors other than shoes that can affect a race. Good luck Nick…. Sub 2:20 here we go👏
