Have you guys considered building a rig for paragliding? I think you could do something really cool asking those lines, especially considering that existing propulsion units for paragliding are basically gas-powered boxfans. You could accomplish something somewhere between an Yves Rossy jetpack & traditional paragliding gear. And you Coukd actually leave the ground and FLY.

You could invent a new kind of paramotor thrust from centrifugal fans connected to the standard 2 stroke Vittorazi motor using a serious redrive ratio. This would be cool no more propellers, but a centrifugal fan or impellor style thrust system. I'd love to get rid of my propeller and use something that won't get tangled up in my lines.

Have a CAD design that I am working on for a quad hover bike where I would like to use electric motors. Battery tech is almost to a point where it is feasible to prototype. This vid has been a big help in giving me a baseline to start from

You have a large EDF, but not the biggest one! this is almost twise the thrust: vasyfan 250mm 20KW monster. 40KG thrust

If I had the money, I'd fund everything you need for this project. Iron Man has been my favorite superhero my whole life and to see someone slowly making the tech that he uses is mind blowing. After the project you can connect all the jet engines together to make the most powerful leaf blower in the world but you would probably have to tape concrete blocks to your feet to not get launched into the sky. You can use the edfs to make a really powerful fan for summer.
