Ordered my first pair Jan 20. Can’t wait! Got another month or two until I get them. 8” lace to toe, walnut smooth over rough out, honey vibram on the low heel HNT last. STOKED!
An amazing product made by Americans in America. These boots are worth every penny. I like to have at least two pairs so I can always have one to wear while the other gets resoled by Nicks.
The boots are still gonna look good after they been used. I have a pair of Nick's builder Pros in black, smooth over rough out leather with a steel safety toe since November. The weird thing that I noticed is that the boots off a strong leather smell. It lasted for about a good month. Also the socks are dyed brown where your foot goes, probably cuz the of leather sole and liner, or my socks were white and my feet sweat alot. Maybe a pro or a con to some people. But I never regret buying the boots, I might buy another pair for casual wear for summer. Peace ✌️✌️✌️.
Just ordered a pair of 8" Travelers in double stuffed burgundy w/ the 2021 sand wedge. I hear getting them broken in is like a right of passage, but once broke they're supposed to be absolutely phenomenal. Hope you enjoy yours for many years to come. Congrats and thanks for the short vid.
@@Salt999 Thanks, but 4 days ago I actually cancelled that order for store credit and used it to order a Horween Color 8 CXL Americana on black wedge sole. Picked up a pair of ready-to-ship 8" Overlanders in smooth walnut w/ v100 lug in mid Oct. and have been wearing them ever since and loving them. I have my Nicks work boot fix for now and my c8cxl casual boot coming in 4-6mo. cheers
I just got my first pair. Same style just not rough out. I've had danners, redwings, thorougoods. Nicks are like cowboy boots. I have a pair of luchesse and that's what they remind of. So far they are super rugged.
@@jasonmiller9495 I wear a 9 In shoes and got a 8.5 in nicks so I’d probably recommend a 10.5 like your redwings, the nicks fit tight as hell at first then they break In perfectly
Same here, I have White's Moc Toe, and I don't even want to wear my other boots, they just don't compare. I have a pair of Nicks being built right now, and am excited to get em' on my feet. I haven't even gotten' my Nicks yet and I am already planning my next two orders. I have Falcon's being made, but next, for sure the Moc Toe, after a pair of Comstock's. Beautiful, full leather shoe. Good vid
I have travellers but I am going to change the wedge sole and put a heel, I have heritage semi-dressed and I love the heel, it's game changer, plus I walk a lot in the English countryside and wedged is too slippery now that it's a bit worn out. The boots themselves are like slippers I could wear them all day and sleep in them, which I did, and you never feel like taking them off, the 8 ounce roughed out flesh leather becomes like a second skin. Don't oil them too much or the walnut roughed out leather becomes black like a combat shoe.
I swapped my leather laces for simple hiker laces. The leather just does not tie the same as traditional laces and it helped break my Nicks in faster having a better tie down.
Those are deceiving looking. Mainly because they look soft, they look comfortable from the gate. Once broken in, they are the best boots ever. I bought a pair of JK's recently. They are legit the best boots ever. I find myself picking em up and just looking at them every time I walk by them. I agree with the leather laces, never used em before, I love em as well. I went to a local leather shop to pick up a belt, and they were astonished by the leather used. Most people, unless they own NW boots, they have never seen a pair of boots so well made. Nicks, Franks, JK's, I feel like JK is probably the biggest gamble of these 3, in terms of having stitching that might not look perfect, ur probably gonna get a heel with a sanding mark from where someone made a mistake. Regardless, you will get an amazing pair of boots from any of these known brands. I like these boots. You picked a nice pair. As far as break in, you can oil them, that's going to darken them, though.
Nice commentary. I got essentially the same boots. Fit was like you mentioned, foot goes in tight and seats in with a thunk that fits like a rubber glove. Mine broke in pretty easy. I'm on and off my feet, but I can take a two or three mile walk in these with no discomfort after wearing them only a few hours. I think my case is unusual though.
Your body heat is what breaks them in the most. Sit around all day watching ball games. Take a nap! Another tip is use a warm damp cloth to wipe them down when you first put them on. The heat will soften the leather more so than boot gerease or leather conditioner.
I have a pair of urban loggers that I like. When I saw Nicks moc toes I thought they didn't look good at all. Yours look great though so may be worth a reconsider.
The urban loggers are nice looking boots you can’t go wrong with either. thank you i appreciate it! I love the way a moc toe looks, I put in my video description what opinions I pick if that helps plus in the video I said some of what I picked.
I have two pairs of Nick's boots. My officer boots didn't come with the grease, but my builder pros did. I think the heritage boots don't come with it.
