Sebby is the real deal. I ran into him and Mandy in the Denver Centurion lounge a couple days ago. I said hello and they were both really cool. Thanks!
Over the past week, I've gone on an Ask Sebby watching spree, and I absolutely love the content!! As an 18 year old, the travel stuff doesn't apply too much to me, but I've watched nearly every video about credit cards, just got approved for my 2nd card, the CFF! Thanks so much for all you do! Happy new year!
Just used some AMX Platinum points and the Fine Hotels $200 credit to stay a few nights in a 5-star in Chicago. Right on the Mag Mile with my family and it cost $0 out of pocket. Thanks for the help, Sebby!
@@AskSebby Can you produce a video for Amex Platinum card carriers, regarding your suggested to-do list for the new year 2022? (i.e. statement credits, offer activations, signup promos, retention offers, etc.)
I used my credits on a 3-night stay at Nomad. Loved the hotel! Also, thanks Sebby for the hard work on your videos! I got into the credit card game because of you. I’ve had only two credit cards for the longest time. (Simply bc I thought having too many was bad.) Now I have six. I’m done until 2023 😅🥴
We have been staying at the NoMad since it's opened with the remodeled Park MGM. We stay in one of the suites with two beds. Although the room isn't as large as the suites on the Park floors, the service at the NoMad is second to none. I also like that we can stop right in front and the doorman will take care of getting the valet to take the car. We're platinum mLife members, but other than a good rate, I think their outstanding service applies to everyone staying there. Sidenote: We come 4-5 times a year and one of the doorman, Eddie, always remembers my name and even my dog's name (NoMad doesn't charge extra for our furry friends).
Used our FHR credit on 2021 at The Palazzo and will likely use the credit in 2022 in Vegas again. I like properties that give the $100 credit for food versus spa, for example.
Agreed on food vs spa! I get great spa benefits through my job they give us points for spa gift cards! But good food is harder to come by. I’m excited to use my FHR credits for 2022!!!
That's cool Sebby. Thanks for the video guys. In 2018 I was staying in a tree house in Missouri that had an outdoor shower with no roof. All of a sudden I hear a helicopter and thought that's cool. Then it dawned on me I was standing buck naked outside and had to scoot under the eve of the house.
@ 2:17 great find on using MRs for a roundtrip international flight to Singapore. Singapore wasn't allowing saver points for JFK-SIN suites when I was looking a year out in 2022.
Thanks for this tour! I used the credit for a stay at the Mandarin Oriental DC to take my mom for a splurge weekend for dining and tea. But I might just use it to stay in Las Vegas next time as I visit there often!
FYI theres different layouts of the skylofts. Some are 2-3 bedroom, some have a outdoor patio+pool. Some have a beautiful living area + kitchen that flows bigger and wider. Hopefully you get to check em all out sometime! We didnt realize there were different "levels/tiers" i would say until we were luckily invited by a few friends who had other rooms in the skyloft area.
Hey Sebby, can you review all of the top tier Vegas properties??? (If you have already reviewed them, please set links below..) I'm going back to Vegas in April and I'm deciding on where to stay... also let's say you don't have access to Amex PLAT at the moment, best way to book in your opinion would be?
Booked the JW Marriott Vancouver. Got $200 in dining credit bc there was this promotion thing going on. Ended up spending $1,500 (pre-travel credit) on five nights and I didn’t spend a penny on food outside the hotel so it was well worth it given the suite was pretty sweet
Hey Sebby, can you do a vid on total fees you pay a year on your cards and total benefit you get a year from you cards? Would be interested to see how much you "profit".
I enjoyed this video review. I just left Vegas and also used my AMEX FHR credit at Bellagio. Dummy me, I didn't give my $20 tip until after the upgrade. I probably could have been in the bell tower if I had shown the $20 dollar tip before hand. I still got a good upgrade facing The Strip and partial view of the fountain show.
@@mike-uw6wt According to several Vegas RU-vidrs it works with regular check-in, no automatic upgrades, and if you do not get an upgrade, I heard the desk clerk will return the $20. I've gotten upgrades in Vegas and then tipped.
We used our FHR when we got married last month at encore tower suites and we were blown away with the LIST of benefits we got at check in. I don't think we will ever staycation anywhere else other than wynn/encore tower suites. It blew Waldorf out of the water and made Venetian look like a budget property in terms of amenities and service.
I would definitely recommend Palazzo over Venetian rooms. Venetian is much more budget look and feel than Palazzo which is smaller, quieter, and more boutique. However, i feel the Wynn/encore complex is even more quiet due to its end of strip location. Most people don’t make it up there unless they are staying there. I’ve never stayed at Wynn Encore specifically because I like to walk the strip and it is FAR! I’d love to try it out someday.
$40 to draw a bath? In the Skylofts? I'm not a cheapo and stay at some really nice properties but man so much ridiculous nickel and diming in Vegas. I saw that at Ceasar's Palace they charge you for using the mini-fridge. That's a hard no.
Used FHR and 200 hotel credit before it expired for a getaway at the Taj Campton in San Francisco back in November. Pretty good even though the Michelin restaurant has yet to reopen.
TYVM! Is there information on your experience in other Vegas FHR properties? Another YT channel? IG? I hope so, I would be very interested. In particular, Cosmopolitan. On one hand, $650 is not cheap for Vegas. OTOH, hotels in Yountville are considerably above that. Vintage house is very nice, but still a pretty standard hotel room. This seems like an interesting splurge.
Love sebby's food critiques. Lol I'm a foodie myself. I probably would've politely told the server the fish was over cooked. I'm sure they would've remade it.
LOVE your Channel Bruh and Happy New Year. Thought id share a data point with you. Recieved a targeted Amex Business Platinum offer this morning for 150,000 MR points.
Shebby love the channel been subscribed for a fe years. So I like tech I noticed you used the Sony mic for the camera. Possibly making a video with the tech you use or work or edit flo maybe 🤔 just a idea for content.
Stayed in the skyloft once while I liked the hotel, the tub didn’t work and you could not completely turn off the air conditioning which was really annoying.
I used my credit for one night at The Cosmopolitan... Maybe should have rethought and did more research. Great property though Great video would love to see more
Can Platinum authorized users also book through FHR and still receive the dining credit and breakfast? If so could you potentially book one night through card holder and second night at same property by authorized user and still receive all benefits? Thanks
I made a last minute booking on 12/31 for the Seabird Resort in Oceanside San Diego, hopefully I don't have to pay the resort fee being a Hyatt Globalist since I didn't book directly 🤔 Also wonder if I can extend my stay by adding an additional night using the 2022 credit, not sure if you can start using the new year credit year right away?
@@AskSebby I guess I wouldn't be surprised if such policy exists to discourage stacking credits. I'll just save it for a different stay, thanks for the tip!
>>>SEBBY, How could you do a 1 night stay for the Amex FHR. I’ve seen people say that the $200 Amex plat hotel FHR credit only applies if you book 2 nights? People told this to Credit Shifu. Please let me know if you got credit for the one night.
It should be one night. I did however take advantage of a special on points for FHR hotels that required 3 nights for use. In that case my point consumption was warranted and my credit will trigger. But I’m planning to use the 2022 credit for 1 night only.👍🏾
Used it for an upcoming January stay at Bellagio for $198. There's $40ish taxes and stuff at check in. If the booking was $150 would the fhr $200 credit cover the taxes when I check in as well?
I believe the tax was already prepaid. So that should be covered. The resort fee is what you need to pay additionally at the check-in. That will not be covered by the FHR credits even if you have credits left.. Make sure you bring your Amex card. The resort fee and extra dining expenses after the dining credits have to be charged on the Amex card.
@@pezdacandyboi No. FHR credit only covers the prepaid amount. The resort fee will not be covered. You have to pay the resort fee with your Amex card at check-in.
Countless have sprayed bodily fluids all over that place, so "super comfy cozy" is not how it should be described. Get out the UV/black light on another review and you'll see what I'm talking about. Cheers!
hey sebby question I added my niece to my Capital One credit card Quicksilver. she was to apply for a Chase credit card she's been with me for over a year she spends around $1,500 a month. My credit is 780 what do you think on her chances of getting approved with Chase as for her first credit card?
