$68 Chainsaw From TEMU 

Not trying to sound like a hater... but #1 that rattling you hear is the fuel filter inside the tank that's connected to the fuel line, they're not stationary filters like airfilters, the fuel filters literally dangle from the fuel line and rest on the bottom of the gas tank. #2 the cover was off because some companies had complaints from customers that they had to remove the cover and install the bar before using the first time, when they buy something they want it ready to go as fast as possible, so leaving that cover off solves that potential issue. #3 the things you call "bolts" are actually nuts that go on the bar studs to hold the clutch cover in place and allow the kickback / chainbreak bar to be in the right position for the kickback safety feature to work properly, when you put those nuts back on the bar studs it's really important you make sure the stud nuts are good and snug or else when using the saw the vibration of the engine and the clutch will work those nuts loose and eventually unscrew themselves and fall off like what happened in your situation., but also you do not want to over-tighten the nuts on the studs or else you could strip out the threads and that is a big headache to fix.... so none of that was the saw's fault lol.. just a little operator error. but it's all good, i was naive about that kinda stuff for years too when i first started messing with chainsaws

Yes the cover is off because you need to install the chain and your problem was you didn't tighten the nut enough

If you read the instructions and reviews you would know that you have to pull safety stop open to fit the clutch and then tighten rear bolt before front bolt or it will not tighten correctly.

Those bolts are called Nuts !

If you would have tighten up the nuts first they wouldn't have fallen off. It would have started quicker if you would have used the choke. Ding bat.

It looks like the problem is the chain brake is engaged on the clutch cover, so the brake ring is too tight to slip over the clutch. Take off the clutch cover, pull the brake handle back, and it should fit over the clutch.

😳💁 Hmmm... for $68 that went pretty well. 👍 The rattle is probably the klunker fuel pickup design. Basically a big brass fitting at the end of the soft flexible fuel line is heavy so the fuel pickup is always at the bottom in any position... it's a pretty reliable design and is used on aircraft and some race boats. I would like to see you see that up with a small detail bar and see how long it lasts before a rebuild is needed. I've been watching some of the Temu boat outboard videos and they are surprisingly reliable engines, just poorly designed mounts and props on some models. I'm glad it worked so well! 👍👍👍

Does it have an ez start that’s impossible to drop start? Btw it’s pretty much the same saw at the pinkway. Just another Chinese clone. You have to finesse that cover on. Make sure the chain brake is disengaged when mounting. It will go on correct you just need to play with it. The throttle lock is to help starting it, since it has no primer bulb.

Good energy, fun review. Don't drop start saws, it's dangerous. Your nut fell off because it wasn't tightened properly, no need for lockwashers, that's weird advice someone gave, as nut to metal will hold better, lockwashers will spread out and fall off eventually while using the saw and your chain would fall off while cutting. When you tighten a saw chain hold the tip of the bar up or rest it on something to hold it up while you tighten the bar nuts, the chain drivers should be about 2/3s of the way out of the bar when you tug on the chain and pull down moderately. Use the bar wrench screwdriver shaft to lock into a tooth and turn the chain on the bar. You should be able to make the chain turn freely while using a couple fingers on the saw body for stability but not adult having to hold the saw down.

How the hell can anyone build even a cheap chainsaw for $68.00. It doesn't even make sense.

New chain you have a little thing called stitch . You may have to adjust it a lot.

The whole thing about the side cover... Chinese companies don't put them on alot of times so they don't get broken in shipping. Bar nuts can vibrate off 1500 dollar saws... it happens. The throttle lock is probably in place because the Chinese carbs don't have partial throttle lock after choking like oem carbs. Hope this cleared some things up.

normally if you play with the brake it should fit. I have a supmix chainsaw that has the same problem. Take 1-2 minutes to fix.

I'll give that chainsaw one thing. The muffler is in a better spot compared to where MTD has been sticking them on Troy-Bilt and Craftsman. The bar and chain oil splashes off of it in a vapor cloud. Several times, I thought the bar was burning, lol.

Be careful. Having that side cover coming off, or not seated completely can be very hazardous. It may be hanging up on the brake assembly too.

I sometimes buy different things on Temu and I have to admit to you - there is a lot of low-quality junk there. The girl was lucky that the saw didn’t hurt her

Hello. I trust your opinion as you use saws for a living. I am looking for a 16" saw that can be used to fell some smaller trees on our homestead, as well as de-limb them. Need to be able to run it for some extended periods of time. A couple on my list are the Echo CS-3510 as well as the Husqvarna 435. What are your thoughts on these two as well as possibly others? I chose these two manufacturers due to their precieved realiablity as well as 5yr consumer warranty. Thank you for any insight that you can give me.

A split washer will keep that bolt on, i usually replace all the bolts on my hedges and chainsaws with better quality butterfly nuts and split washers so i can tighten with small multi grips

Meanwhile I just bought a $25 battery Mini chainsaw off Amazon 😂. Aseboy 8"mini chainsaw with 1 battery. Using it for basic yardwork only on my house so not too worried about it. These big companies are not your friends some of the prices that they charge for the tool alone WTF. I might get this Shoot red loctite them bolts & keep it pushing.

Over two months later we haven't gotten a refund or a replacement. They suggested we check with our neighbors on the other side of the country.
