Beats headphones are overrated. But instead of comparing beats headphones to obviously cheap headphones, why not compare some beats headphones to some that are similarly priced or their competitors? Beats are terribly overrated and overpriced but they do sound better than $8 discount bin headphones.

I spent €350 on my Bose QC 35... never regeted it for a minute. The sound...the noise cancelling...the headset function. maaaaaan I using it about 10h a day for business calls and entertainment. You can just escape from reality with this thing^^

This video gives a terrible impression - Yes, beats sound better than $8 headphones, we all saw that coming from a mile away. But that doesn't mean you should spend your $80 on BEATS. Don't do it. If you have $80, do some research, there are far better sounding headphones for $80 out there. Beats sounding better than an $8 pair of headphones shows that you should spend more money on headphones, but it doesn't mean you should buy the beats. Buy some from a company which doesn't spend most of the headphone cost on marketing, and instead spends it on quality components. You won't regret it.

skullcandy is also a brand that makes headphones more for the design. but they actualy have balanced sound. and you can actualy listen to rock music with them. while with beats. guitar would sound bassy and muddy. if you want better sounding headphones with a design that is also not bad. go for skullcandy. but still "Sennheiser, audio technica, pioneer, and akg make the best sounding headphones.

I have some Skullcandy hesh 2 (wired ones,) with an inline mic and track controls. Was given as a gift, think they cost $40-50, but you can get them from some retailers for $30. Great overall headphones. Balanced sound, good noise isolation, quite comfortable but you do begin to feel some fatigue because of the pressure on your ears. Should also mention the cable is detachable. Great for portability, even without the ability to fold up
