The Bo Jackson is sweet, he was one of the best running backs and also an amazing baseball player. If he didn’t have that awful injury; he would have broken records
That soccer card with messi, ronaldo, zidane and ibrahimovic signature is HUGE 1/1 messi signatures can go up 10-20k usd this card should be much more than 1.5k
I love that Zlatans sig is just 1 letter. Reminds me of “I’m Zlatan. My signature is so amazing, like I am, that the world recognizes it with 1 letter. Messi needs a whole name!”
This 1/1 with the exact same players from a Leaf set sold in July for $1500, sorry for the giant ebay link: www.ebay.ca/itm/387116448977?_skw=rinaldo+messi+zidane+auto&itmmeta=01J80JAVMVBKJQ03PC4X06WYKJ&hash=item5a21f03cd1:g:bG8AAOSwV7Rmed6g&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKlT26R%2FX6h72r%2FWDFHUbCO3UnW1%2FXKhAVVa14lmnf6U8jseVi%2BBSh8cj1Y0mSZd7WAGZi6b6tLv5iyHHFr0imNjdefF1EPedmONvq4tDV857CvF4AYxjvwE30gGwoSWweJmfG3MV7pnsv9pxSI9u02V152P1isx7a2KhFCqbV1GM%2FsWVhMu4RaC97%2BFgoBCwb86y%2FvtZWZsmSMM3v6hZFtl%2Bh1SZ1CpU9W9c%2Bifx2h64AE5ww3aQgdTaBPDSByAigUxLBIaFD9muFIaOFO0jNKB%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7y6q5LAZA
@@MTGNorth2yes it sold for 1500 but in excellent condition, not in near mint or mint condition or maybe even pristine condition which would make a difference on the value of the card ,you can definitely fetch more money depending on the condition of the card and you should always take that into account.
As a former mechanical designer for corrugated products that box is awesome. Kudos to the designer! I can't imagine what the die alone cost. Great production from Leaf.👍
No it isn't. It is from leaf, and leaf carries no where near that level of value. For that type of money, you need it to be licensed. People spending that much money are gonna want the best, and Leaf is close to bottom of the barrel in sports cards.
@@snerdtergusonI get the unlicensed argument, but how many Messi and CR7 signed cards are there in existence ? Can’t be that many right? Adding Zidane and zlatan has to make this a true true unique 1/1….
Ok I have to be that guy. #1 these are all unlicensed, severely crushing the value of every card #2 the sigs all seem to be on sticker which is definitely not what the majority of collectors prefer. On card all day I say #3 Because of those factors alone the most valuable card is definitely the soccer quad sig & even then I would still think it's on the low end as it is still unlicensed #4 even though Leaf has been around since the 40s this new version of it is not the most sought after cards. The big ones are Topps, Panini, Upper Deck and even some of the recent football Topps isn't on the same level. Why? Because they don't have the license for the NFL although I do believe they are getting it back, not sure about all the details. Notice the most common factor... no license equals way lower value overall even the sigs regardless of players & yes those were some great sigs from NFL Hall of Famers but still worth way way way less than their counterparts with actual logos & team decals on the helmets & jerseys from other card companies with actual NFL & NFLPA licenses.
Absolutely correct IMO. Everyone commenting that the soccer quad is worth 10k is out to left field and doesn't understand your points. Another 1/1 Leaf card with the exact same sigs sold at auction in July for $2500 CANADIAN! All that said, these cards still do look fantastic, and when there's 4 awesome sigs like that on a card there's no room for logos anyways :D We were really happy with the results of this vid, and I hope Leaf continues to make cards for years to come as a great alternative to the other companies.
I mostly agree, but I think most collectors understand sticker autos when it is a multiplayer card. Using stickers lessens the chances the card itself gets damaged in all the travelling it would do to get signed by those 4 guys. Otherwise, if your product is considered high end, and the signer is living, they need to be on card. If a player dies and they have sticker autos left over, may as well use them.
One from a prior leaf set sold for about 2k. If that's the product hit, then an $800 price is WAY out of line. Especially considering they are putting $10-$25 autos in as well. High end unlicensed makes no sense to me. I don't understand why anyone buys stuff like Panini Immaculate or National Treasures for baseball. Better off just buying a box of Bowman Draft or something for that money.
Imagine spending 10k chasing a card worth maybe 10% of that, when you could have just bought a really nice National Treasures Messi auto. This is leaf. Nobody pays more than a couple thousand for any Leaf card. If there's people doingbthat, someone needs to get conservatorship over them so they don't blow all their money.
I can afford these. Lots of these. But I would never buy them. The odds on this is worse than any casino. And any product that costs $1k and has you go “oh, that’s cool”… what’s the purpose of buying it? Also learn who baseball players are. Take a minute away from the Curling World Cup and figure out famous players.
@@tonysteel1377 I don’t care if they are licensed of unlicensed. Remember my financial situation is different than most, but I still follow the market even though I’m not in it anymore. What are people complaining about? Inflation, food is more expensive, gas is more expensive, blah blah. This is a hobby, but nothing in this hobby suggests that the box should go up. Even in poor economies the price of cards would drop so they can move product they produce sometimes a year before releasing it. Instead the price keeps going up. And it’s not like people are chasing a hot player. This isn’t a Wemby rookie year and NFL rookies have barely been made, so it’s 2nd year “RC’s”. So the only thing I can think is the sheer amount of boxes they sell to breakers and breaking is gambling. So they are going to keep inflating the price even though the price should drop. So my assessment is that they are only this expensive because they are abusing the average persons gambling addictions to force the product to sell. It’s a messed up thing, but nobody is complaining. Guys on RU-vid aren’t complaining about it. But they get paid by commercials and the such. And just when you think “oh this guy might come out and say something”, he goes and rips $700-$800 Leaf boxes which are gambling for people opening a solo box for themselves.
No. Leaf cards do not have that level of value, no matter who is on it. They almost always sell for around 10%-20% of what a similar card from a better product sells for. One of the same four players, also a 1/1, and also from a leaf product, sold for around $2k.
I need the 1 of 5 NFL card wit my mAn terry. I got to be his so called bodyguard at Mel BLunts 50th birthday party. Dude walked in said i ant signing shyt till i get a WHISKEY 😂😂😂😂
