it's a fantastic model...yes it's expensive but I'm so happy with it. small minus, doors are a little fragile. where I bought it: a.aliexpress.com/_uzB8yx
Wow! That thing is insane. I was looking at my TLV up close while watching this. I think PGM got more detail in their model (the mesh on the rear is insane) but the TLV's build quality is way better. I like how this one is the GTE model vs the TLV which is a street model. Gives you a reason to own both.
mine just came in yesterday with number 854 / 999, and luckily I don't have the front lights paint error, but I do get a slight rear engine cover gap when closed with the bumper. Yes detail wise, PGM does it better, but built quality, TLV did it waaaaay better
I’d say TLV’s build quality is better due to long-time experience in building die casts and less moving parts, but the attention to detail and paint is PGM for sure
Very detailed 1/64 model, all opening parts, separate part details like the wiper, superfine details, like the see through perforated grille around tail lights, limited manufacturing run with serial number, not to mention the awesome supercar itself Ferrari F40, fancy box with revolving stand, etc. This high level of detailing isn't cheap to do, so probably the price indeed is in line for what the model offers. Still, too expensive for me though, have bought even 1/18 scale models with lower price :D But of course, I don't have high end, top of the line models like this Ferrari. Congratulations for getting one, definetely a highlight in anyones 1/64 collection :)
Those moments when you go how much!, an F40 model would be cool though, maybe a bigger size for that kind of money.....but then i'd have to get a 911 and a Countach to go alongside it too........and after that......maybe a 288 GTO and after that.....more shelves😀
Very nice model but over-priced I think, particularly when compared with Inno 64 and Mini GT to name a couple of less expensive brands. The opening features and detailing must be very expensive to produce. However if you're an F40 fan it's a must have. 🙂
I just got mine today! And this video doesn’t do justice on how good this model looks and feels in the palm of your hands! I’m really impressed with the quality and looks and feel of this little gem 💎👌🥰👉♥️👍by the way! I do think is worth every dollar for the amount of details you get for such a small gem!👌👍
Wonderful video friend. I’d like one of these as seen here just without opening doors. I have enough Ferrari in my collection to know they break or won’t align properly. Even more so after opening. The front and engine cover should be the only opening parts at this time in diecast development. I believe the stick is for the engine cover. The headlights might lift up better by pushing down with the f40 tool provided from behind the headlight.
That is crazy money for an Awesome 1/64 casting! I was so nervous watching you open everything😬, whew!!!! Glad it turned out well!😄 Bummer about the chip in the paint, but it is a limited edition and if you're careful it can be touched up easy enough.👌👍👍
Also, i think that black metal pin than came inside that plastic bag is use to open the cars doors and hood parts. i wouldn't use your fingers or toothpicks as you could possibly damage that model by accident.
I agree, 90 euros is a pretty hefty amount to swallow for a 1/64 diecast. But if its a collectors edition and rare item, it makes its own worth back over time, its a good investment if u buy the right ones. I bought 2 very limited hotwheels collectors club exclusives at 217 USD each, and now their worth 350 to 400 on secondary market. so im pretty happy XD
Beautiful looking Ferrari model beautifully detailed I like the way that the wood plinth has a bearing fitted for smooth spinning operation the details in the front clam shell are the brake fluid and coolant that is very impressive .whether I would choose it over the tomica limited vintage would be a hard decision think your model has slightly more detail but the tlv is a bit more durable is it worth the money I would say so great review 👍👍👍
That plastic piece you first took out is to help you open the parts instead of using your fingers… look at the the front bottom of it, it’s a little pointy to help you open the doors and hood/trunk
@@BBQ_T_Bone Your comment is really helpful. Yes I've talked about it in the video but now it's also written so people can read it before they hear it in the video 🙂
You can use poster putty to open panels without damage. If this didn't have opening panels I would buy it but this looks pretty sloppy since nothing lines up. If you only display it open then it would be good for a diorama.
Been thinking about picking one of these up. The lack of caliper detail and detailing on the headlights seems pretty questionable for the price. I’m sure this is one of those things that once you have it the price is quickly forgotten but it is proving tough to pull the trigger for sure.
@@DiecastDudeofficial Yeah it would be awesome if Mini GT could get a Ferrari license but it seems that is held pretty tightly. At least we'll get some cool Ferrari race cars from Tarmac Works so maybe they'll do a race version of the F40 and with the Hobby64+ line bringing opening parts maybe they can execute it more completely.
Beautiful scale model, congrats for your purchase man! Anyway it's unacceptable to see paint issues for an expensive piece, i would be really mad about. By th way, do you know if they have plans for the regular F40 model with red spoilers?
Amazing review with amazing 1/64 model... F40 never gets old.. it's a must have model!! PS: I have a question if Kyosho is still making 1/64 Ferrari or not? Been a long time not to update with 1/64 world. 😊 and do you have any info if there is any brand which already made the 1/64 Ferrari 488GTE Le Mans 2016 year? Thanks.
Nice i have one was going to buy two but i brought other models this thing will be more if you didn't get it im going to start my channel i have very expensive 1/64 models to show i dont have a problem with spending that much on something when the value goes up on it this seem to be the wave of our world now if you dont get it now it will be most definitely more later and this is with anything thats for sale for example look at the ps5 lol yeah so i try to get everything i like now because once it's gone your going to be upset especially when you have to pay way more for it thats why i preorder a lot i don't have somethings coming to the summer but at lease i will get one preorder is the best way but you have to be on it because most preorders sale out especially the higher end models
That it is not limited after all 😄 For a car like this you have to wait about 10 years before it get a good value. But we are collectors and never sell😄
90€ ? Crazy man! I got a Tiffanys 993 from them. Got it 2y ago for like 60€ with shipping but then 25% taxes. It is a really good model. The TLV Ferraris, I have 3, are better in terms of build quality, but yeah not that many metal mesh pieces and don’t open everything. 90€ is a bit too much. Maybe I’m biased cause I got a PGM 993 and a Ferrari 250GTO for 60-70€ each with shipping and taxes
@@DiecastDudeofficial Yeah true. All the prices have gone up like crazy, man. There was someone in Germany selling 2 PGMs for 60-70€ each but the prosche. The Ferraris are always more expensive. True, I’ve seen some pictures of the doors and they seem to open quite a bit more but yeah it’s very fragile and I wouldn’t risk it either
I don't what brand is that but the whole diecast is inaccurate, either it wants to be f40 or f40 lm. The f40 lm doesn't have popup lights & no storage. I have the tomica LV neo f40 & it's way better than this.
Completely agree, these video zoom ins always reveal slight flaws. Noticed quite a few paint chips, mis-alighned body lines and liitle imperfections. I've found alot better F40 castings in general in 1/24 & 1/18 but will cost
Een duur horloge wat je nooit draagt omdat je bang bent het te beschadigen. Een versie zonder opening parts was voor mij ook prima geweest maar het blijft indrukwekkend al die Details
