Hello there @C00kingwithsam181 and thanks for watching, its actually the scale that i want to build, though as i am new to this modelling malarkey i have decided to cut my teeth on 1/72's, though to be honest i might of got a bit carried away with them. I'll probs build a 1/35 within the next 4 weeks.
Hi Andy Super video and super bargain haul. I'm behind on some of your videos so catching up. This is probably one of the best hauls so far. In particular the tank destroyer models which I'd like to see on open the box. The War correspondence team and rocket launcher kits. The Styer and 1/24 staff car with extra level of detail. Thanks again Dean.
Hi Dean LOL ive no idea why that fella was selling those Mini-arts s cheap or how i was the only one who noticed. LOL you can only pick one for WITB, i think someone else has asked for the Takom.
hello there @daniellabra4186 and thanks for watching, thanks i have a rather erm large collection, a lot of Miniart and ICM will be showing more of it as "whats in the box" videos over the coming months and hopefully building one or two.
The pather ausf D goes for around £40,you have already got that one,I have built mine just have to build the optional tamiya link and links tracks for it,I'm sure you have got the tamiya sherman twice, yes I know what you mean about zvezda, I also have a few of their kits in my stash, their not to bad a kits really, but I also have a few Ukrainian kits ,such as icm, masterbox, and miniart, which incidently are operating in poland now,not ukrain so that evens it out, abit ,im just waiting for a few kits to arrive, about the same what you had paid,my stash is already to big,you done well on them kits...happy modelling
What a haul !. There still are bargains to be had. I recently built the Svezda M4A3 and a T34 both in 1/35 and was seriously surprised at the quality of the kits. They were much cheaper than the exorbitant prices for Tamiya kits at least here in Australia. I'd be interested to hear your views on the motorcycle kit. I did find that the plastic is softer than other brand kits.
Outstanding haul for the price. I myself am always looking for "package or lot" deals usually being quite the steal or bargain. Thank you for sharing you latest acquisitions
Hello there @joeromano5607 and thanks for watching. Totally agree there are bargains to be had if you are patient. i have done a few of these haul un-boxings, there is a playlist link in the vid description bar.
57$ for 3 tamiya 1/35 kits that easily can be sold at 100$ is an extremely good offer Here in Argentina importing kits from Ebay or foreigner countries is very expensive, mostly paying up to twice the price just because of taxes, but some people are saying that soon most of them will be removed and it will be easier to buy from other countries so im quite excited to see if it really happens cause i want to buy a lot from ebay
hello again @EstudioHikari. i have actually bought stuff from Germany, Poland, Ukraine & New Zealand via ebay and on all occasions i paid less with the postage and tax than i could get the same items for from the UK, the kits from Poland were just regular kits, the others were pretty specific, pretty hard to get kits. i am probably going to do a follow up video to this with these kits in a few weeks. Though having spoke to some Americans they seem to struggle to get some of the European kits, i was told that the U.S has no official Miniart stockists at all; so i understand that possibly you suffer the same situation in Argentina also.
2:29 The US lingo for that is "Deuce and a half." For some reason I didn't like them, although they were ok to drive. I associate the Deuce and a half with the hard work of loading and unloading.
GREAT HAUL GLUE TROOPER,THESE BUILDS WILL BE INTERESTING TO WATCH.HAVE FUN AND MODEL ON .TAKE CARE P S DON'T YOU HATE IT WHEN REAL LIFE KEEP YOU FROM DOING WHAT YOU REALLY WHAT TO DO ?
LOL i do indeed et annoyed by real life interruptions, there's a bunch more of these haul videos, follow the link, and i have enough 1/72 kits standing by to make another 4.
Mate! What a cracking haul youve got there! 👌 Id love to see all of them unboxed if I'm honest ! The icm rocket artillery does look amazing, and what a bargain too! The Su-85 or the Hetzer would be my choice if pushed. I do like a bit of 1/35 armour! Nearly at 1K subs mate! Well done on growing the channel, you've done a fantastic job mate, really love tuning in. Be seeing you..... 👊
Andy, great unboxing of some great kits at super prices. I've been looking for some kits from that Russian company out of curiosity, actually had a chance to exchange comments with a Russian chap, but have to be careful as Big Brother is listening on both sides. Odd that ICM would make Russian equipment. Sorry about the Shiner beer , a plaque won't do you good. However when you make that Russian kit are you going to try some Russian Borscht :-) I suspect Vodka. Couple of times a week I check eBay as well. No bargains yet but I'm hoping. I sometimes wonder where those people get these kits. Cheers till the next video Bob.
Thanks Bob, did good on some of them. I have been very reluctant to buy Zvezda for reasons, however i wanted a Russian motorcycle and that was the only one i could find. LOL ICM do a 1936 Packard 12 (35535), the Russians had 4 shipped over in the 30's for the personal use of Stalin and his groupies, the kit comes with Stalin & 3 of his chums, so much for the decadence of democracy blah blah. there is a internet retailer that i have used, they have a trade site also, not sure what you have to do, but guess it would just be the normal business registration stuff. Have also bought from two separate ebay traders and the kits and invoices both came from a different company, so i guess drop shipping, i kept the invoices but again haven't inquired as to the hows and whys.
Hi Andy . A very nice haul there. Also some good bargains. For me it would be the Tamiya Steyr, then the cargo truck ( Triple duece ). Then the Sherman and then the Panther. The last two are pretty straightforward builds but there is a lot of choice on the finish. I havs the Steyr and I have the Black Dog resin set for it ,its a very comprehensive set. The rocket trucks look interesting and you got a great result on that one. I look forward to seeing the G4 as they were big vehicles and in 1/25th it must be huge. Remember bud the bigger the model the more details you will have to add. Your a bit like a drug dealer for guys like me , you give us our fix of plastic but in this case we don,t have to pay for it. Your building up a big old stash there buddy. I hope that you get to build them all. Someone used to say to me " are you ever going to build them all "? The answer is no of course. But its nice to be able to sit there and fantasise about our future builds. Thanks for the video. Good luck bud.
LOL i remember past conversations about the G4, i thought you might like that one. i was particularly happy to get the Steyr and the SU85, so cheaply, the rocket trucks were randomly found on a sellers sight i regularly visit, he had the single and the multiple set up for the same price with free p&p, it was a no brainer.
@@TheNoviceModeller Hi Andy. I think that guy might realise what he did when he notices what model he just got rid of. Two for the price of one os always a bargain, so well done mate. As for the G4 , yeah I just don,t know what it is about that motor. I remember watching something on youtube about Mussolini's one. It was a gift from Hitler and it still exists and works. They also showed one driving around. Mercedes made a new version of it and you can see Richard Hammond drive it in the desert on Top gear. It a completely different beast. Thanks for thinking of me on that one bud. Good luck.
Good eyes though i am afraid only 2 out of 3 Peter Cushing, Vivienne Leigh and Norman Parkinson? from the 2013 "Great Britons" stamp set www.collectgbstamps.co.uk/explore/issues/?issue=22653
@@TheNoviceModeller I used to collect stamps. I still have my collection. They are in Mylar pocket sleeves. Peter Cushing was a great actor. Most know him from the Hammer films, but he played a great Memnon in Robert Rossen's 1956 film "Alexander the Great."
I used to collect them also, I had a very very decent British Empire collection, i sold it bit by bit aged 33 when i went to Uni, it helped to keep me propping up the Student union Bar, most nights, i kinda regret selling it now but it was a necessary decision.
@@TheNoviceModeller I do have some rare US Stamps. Found three unperforated Franklin blues in a Robert Burns poetry book from the mid 1800's. Someone bought them at the post office, laid them in the book and forgot about them.
Hi Andy thanks for the reply but you picked a great deal there. Super. Hmmm just got me thinking though about whether one can also pick up a good haul on airbrushes, fittings, quick release couplings. I know I had an Iwata airbrush that required a new 3.5 mm and reviewed the prices on average for a new one approx £35 but managed to pick up one on Ebay for about £5 that fitted well. Deals to be had and something perhaps maybe in the future also to look at. Thanks again Dean.
I am currently still using my £15 Amazon paint brush set, plus a few freebies, i have a bunch of others to replace them with, sitting on a bunch of ideas at the moment, paint brushes is one of them. Will be a while before airbrush upgrade though as an idea i will certainly have a go at it, though currently just using £20 "disposable LOL" airbrushes as until i am confident with the whole cleaning and maintenance aspect, this seems the logical way to go.
Hello there @Sea-cadet2838 and thanks for watching. I have a fair few Miniarts, i am kind of collecting with future in mind, i have a bunch of Tamiya Panzer 4 and 5's starting with the older (simpler) ones to the more modern better detailed ones, my plans is to start my 1/35 building journey with them, then sometime in a year or so have a go at some of the more complicated Miniarts ETC.
LOL i originally bought a load of 1/35's a fair few Miniarts included, sat down and had a panic attack as i realised i was just going to mess them all up, thought about Ebaying them and being done with modelling before i had started, then bought a load of 1/72 as i figured they were cheaper/easier, somehow decided that putting this lunacy on RU-vid was a good idea, 6 months later here we are.
Hello there @johnberry2877 and thanks for watching. totally agree as far as price, engineering and variety you cant beat Tamiya, even though some of their older kits could probably do with refreshing, particularly the figures.
What are the knife laws in your country? I send you a traditional slip joint or lock back knife if you wanted one. Of course it would be a knife I refurbished.
That very nice of you @jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 thanks very much. i will check out the postage laws and get back to you when i am not working, though i would only be able to accept such a gift, that you had put your time and effort in to, if it was an exchange, one of yours for one of mine.
@@TheNoviceModeller No, no, no. I don't need anything. I'm old. I refurbish the knives and give them away to people I like, or to working men who fix or install things in my house or yard. I would like to give you the Boker. The cutting blade is 3" and the overall length in 8". It's just a lock back. If you are in the UK there might laws against lock backs. The only reward I need is if you appreciated the knife.
@@TheNoviceModeller If you can't take the lock back, I have small slip joints I could give you. As I wrote, the reward I need is that you would find use and appreciate them.
@@jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 I think that locking blade knives are a big no no in the UK, the most you can have now are like swiss army type knives. I believe that if you sent a lock blade knife through the mail at the very least it would get confiscated.
