I totally agree they need to improve on their brown girl shades a lot brands do tbh 😅 they have so many different undertones for the pale / light shades but their medium shades jump a lot . But I love the coverage and the applicator 💕Loved the video!
I’ve found that many drugstore concealers and foundation when I’m buying a lighter shade which I think is right are always pink or salmon, then I choose a medium they are always oxidising making me orange and I can’t go darker because that ain’t my shade - we need some olive with hints of yellow please not tooo yellow then imma look like a banana tbh and I’m already a fruit right now with my current foundation 🍊 all I ask is the right undertone for us middle eastern, Asian people. And the variety for deeper skins is a whole other story smh 🤦♀️ let’s all thank Rihanna 👏 - loved the video btw ❤️
LOOOOL you already looking like a fruit, that cracked me up!!! LOL But you're right we need more olivey yellow tones :) Rihanna did goood tho lol thanks for watching xx
You nailed it. Tan skin is an area where most brands need to work on! I do think deeper skin tones have also been neglected, but tan is also something thT needs a lot of work!
I find even if the colors are medium its usually still for white or pale people. Like white tan not ethnic tan. I also wish they would put half the effort they put into putting out 50 shades of beige they wouls put that same consideration into actually medium to deep and dark. It should be even.
Just tried makeup revolution concealer now and it is awesome! Just wanted to tell you that I struggled all my life with foundations and never getting the right shade but since I found your channel I just follow whatever you advise and thanks so much for that! And what's great is that I use your shades 🤩 thanks Anoushka your channel is awesome!!!
Agree that there isn’t a huge range for medium-tan skin BUT for drugstore 18 shades is AMAZING compared to lets say maybelline which have like 2-4 shades or rimmel with their 3 shades, the cult fave Collection 2000 one with 4 shades...Makeup Revolution have done an amazing job with 18 shades and hopefully other drugstore brands follow their lead and start catering for medium to deep skintones.
I totally agree with what you said about brands that kinda leave the medium/brown/tan girls out. I always struggle with finding shades for concealers and foundations. More with undertone than anything, especially being warmer. Things will be either too pink, red, orange or salmony and look like ash or a corrector on me. I don't wanna be dry looking LOL
I'm so happy you did this video. You're the only one I've seen use this product with actual dark circles under the eye and pigmentation around the mouth. I have the same problem and have used other products that other youtubers swear by and have been a fail for me🤦🏽♀️. I can't wait to use it. I hope they sell it in the US soon! Thanks!
Watching your review after posting mine and i definitely agree with you about the shade range. More medium/tan shades and darker in between shades are needed. Hopefully they extend the range soon! And more yellow undertoned shades, I found the shade i used (c7) to be quite pink/peach but i LOVE the formula and lasting power of it
I'm happy to see brands are doing better when it comes to deep dark skintones but what about us middle medium brown skinned girls? We are always neglected. It's always 50 shades of white and a few brown shades reluctantly added. Disgusts me that this happens
Honestly I really wasn't expecting much from this based on the current reputation cheaper brands tend to have with base products. Might just have to cop this now 👀
I knew I'd buy the 10 and 12 but waited for your video to make sure I matched right because we're the same shade in tarte shape tape! I'm so glad I waited for your video before buying though thankyou!! xxx
Ok, I'm not sure if you've used whatever you foundation you have on in the video before, but I just had to say it looks so natural and flawless on your skin. The concealer was great but foundation stole the show (for me atleast)! 😮👌👌
I think also if u did put more powder maybe wouldn’t crease and just use setting spray to minimize the powder a little bit idk u look beautiful and love the video girl!
Omg gurllll as an Indian girl there is such a struggle finding my skin colour because although they are trying to make more dark shades no one is realising the issue for us brown girls like we aren’t all tan /orange 😂😫
I'm so glad you reviewed this because everyone has been hyping this up and your a similar skin tone to me so its even better. Did it dry up or get patchy, because that's what I'm most worried about? Thanks!! xx
Will it be good enough for an super super oily skin sufferer like me? Your suggestions on this? I'm NC42-NC43. Golden yellow undertone. Which shade should I go for?
I have pigmentation around my mouth too. It don't even out with orange corrector. I will try out Ur trick used in this video. Hope it will work for me.
Hi.. do you recommend using these concealers with Mac Studio Fix foundation? I am fairly new at makeup and got the NC42 and planning to go for some budget friendly concealers.. love your reviews.. please help
Hi, Just have to say that concealer looks amazing on you! Could you please tell me what shade you are in Mac or Nars foundations? Just makes it easier for me to decide which shade to get. Thank you so much so much for this review and keep up the good work!
I am your new subscriber, literally been watching your vids non stop since a week, you're so gorgeous. I just bought a bunch of makeup you rave about esp makeup revolution concealer/foundation and I love it. Which mac lipstick is it?
hi what is your foundation colour from bare minerals? would love to know if were the same so I know which colour to get from makeup revolution for my concealers! :) x
I feel like most brands I see cater to a skin tone that's like a beige to orangey colour and then don't go to darker skintones or light ones. At least that's how it is in Australia. And I think the reason that the brands that decide to go pale make a whole lot of pale shades is because having pale skin and the wrong undertone even slightly is much less forgiving than you lucky flawless darker skin tones. That's not to say they shouldn't make enough to suit everyone but the differences in different kinds of light skin are often easily highlighted by the wrong foundation just like our flaws are more obvious. Whereas I feel like someone with a darker skintone would have an easier time getting away with wearing a foundation that's slightly wrong for them. Even people with the regular medium light caucasian skin can usually pass but us paper white folk have a hard time finding makeup similar to the really uniquely dark ladies out there.
