Every day at work people tell me they can't afford to eat healthy but they buy about 3 energy drinks, smoke 40 a day and buy shit from greggs. £47 is very reasonable, class video as ever.

Obviously the definition of budget is going to vary from one person to the next so let's not all get worked up if you think £47 is expensive. Keep in mind I live in central London, the quality of food I've purchased is still pretty high, there's some variety in there, and this works out at 2,700-2,900kcal per day - a lot of you guys won't need to eat that much in order to build muscle. Like I mention at the end of the video I could have saved money by cutting out things like the fish, avocado etc, bulk buying my meats/fish, and obviously just eating less overall.

Great Video! Small cooking tip that will blow your mind. Put the meat in a deep freeze bag that can be closed, spray some of that non stick on it, now drop in the spices but most importantly put in lemon juice or lime juice or vinegar (red or white wine) in it close the bag and toss the meat around in the bag. The acid will make the flavors pop but also marinade the meat so that it stays tender!

I don't know how it is in the UK, but here in the Netherlands for fresh produce it's pretty much always much cheaper to go to a turkish/surinamese grocer or an actual market than it is to go to a supermarket like Aldi or LIdl. If you're on a budget and you're cooking for a whole week go inside those kinds of shops and look around.

Frozen veggies tend to be healthier btw(at least here in America). They're frozen right after they're harvested, which will keep them technically fresh + keeps all the anti-oxidants. The travel time for "fresh" veggies tends to degrade the anti-oxidants.

yea that's total bullshit lol. Some basic stuff such as potatoes, cucumbers and other veggies that are not imported are a bit cheaper but everything else is either the same price or even more. 2 liter bottle of milk in england - 1 pound 1.5 liter bottle in Bulgara - 1 pound As per mike's video: 190 grams of chicken breast = 1.01 pounds so 200 grams would be about 1.10 , so a kg is 5.50. Price In bulgaria for lean chicken fillets in all supermakerts is about 4.50pounds per kg, so just a bit cheaper. Eggs ,as per mike's video - 12 free range eggs for 1.67pounds In bulgaria free range eggs, the cheapest I can find in the supermarket are about 1.50pounds for 12. Broccoli and Asparagus are actually more expensive. Fish is the same price if not more, especially fresh fish. I've lived in England and in Bulgaria and groceries are overall a bit less expensive in Bulgaria but that doesn't make up for the fact that you're getting payed 3-4 times less :). And yea, you could definitely eat for ~50 brit pounds a month in Bulgaria but it depends what you're eating.

how can you think that? He did buy decent foods for 47, imagine what luxury he would have on 75. So I can not imagine how that luxury could b e considered on a budget. And if you need less calories than him, even more so... Ps: I know US is not London, but just for perspective - you can search internet and see that people manage quite decent diet for 20 BUCKS/week (so like 15 pounds?). Again, prices are way different, but just for a perspective of how strange is to call 75 quid being on a budget.

the average person has no idea how bland and miserable the life of a competitive bodybuilder is. It literally lacks all joy and adventure when it comes to cuisine. I did it for years in my 20s and if I could go back I would smack myself upside the head and tell myself that its not worth it. I'm 46 now, eat a lot more enjoyable foods, don't weigh stuff on a scale, use fats like olive oil diligently, have a beer every night with dinner and I look pretty good and am way more happy. Next time you see that guy with the perfect bod on the cover of Men's Health you have to realize that dude is probably a miserable cunt and is seriously craving a beer like there's no tomorrow.

My meat, fish, chicken per week is: 55$ My veggines per week: 27$ - pre-diced,chopped, sliced etc. My carbs per week: 10$ - (rice, oats, potatos, pasta) Whey isolate 1 ingredient per week: 11$ - (I get 1 shake per day with 50gs.) Fats per week: 10$ ( nuts, oils, etc) Various things per week: 10$ (almond milk, coconut milk, honey, cocoa etc etc) Total price per week: 123$ for me. I get around 180g of protein from per day from this, you could obviously just add another shake if you're heavier then me or think you need more protein. I'm 90kg atm so I aim to get around 2g per kg a day. I buy quality stuff, pre cut stuff, to save time. I spend around 15-20mins per day cooking all my meals, most of the time it's waiting for things to cook. So yeah, 66$ per week is very very cheap as far as bodybuilder appropriate diets go :)

5:16 you should try: One can of tuna (I buy the spicy tuna, adds flavor), one avocado and an equal amount of cottage cheese. Lets say its all 1:1:1 part tuna, avocado and cottage cheese. And lastly, if you want to: add pepper, salt, siracha(highly recommended). It's a protein bomb and it tastes good! For those of you finding it hard to eat tuna, try this!

SM PA people actually eat a ton of “squab” in Europe. They tend to clip the wings of domesticated pigeon and harvest them very young (month or so) so the meat is super tender as it’s not turning to muscle from flight. Very very big in the Middle East/older European cuisine

A tip for making delicious and healthy asparagus: 1. Pre-heat oven to 425 F (220 C). 2. In a bowl, toss asparagus in olive oil until asparagus are fully coated with the oil. 3. Season asparagus with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Can also sprinkle grated parmesan on the asparagus if your diet allows it. 4. Toss everything in the bowl until seasoning is mixed well. 5. Bake in over for 12-15 minutes (on the shorter end for thinner asparagus). 6. Sprinkle with lemon juice before serving for extra flavor. 7. Enjoy!

Soumil Nath alcohol is empty calories, that toxify the body. Alcohol lowers test levels over time and while there is alcohol in your body and your liver is 100% focused on cleansing that alcohol out of your system, protein synthesis is practically 0% for that duration. The more alcohol you consume (amount and duration) , the less time your body is building muscle. It’s that simple
