@ronnie doorzon boats get old but not as fast as electeonics. If you buy a computer for 1000€ in 3 years its value is like 30%. But if you buy a boat for 500 000 in 15 years its value is like 50%. Same with cars: when you buy a new car and drive it out of the dealership its value instatly drops atleast 20-30%
1:42 I really liked the design touch of having a wider step halfway down the stairs for when you're accessing the electrical panel. Another great tour Nick.
The third cabin is surprisingly comfortable-looking for the class, and the foredeck bench seating is quite another luxury for a 55. As a rule, I think a crew cabin is a waste on that size boat, but I'd happily stay there as an unruly guest myself. Cheers, Nick.
But if you can afford the yacht in the first place, you may as well spec the crew cabin - even if you just use it for storage! When not using the yacht, you can put it out to charter with a captain on board. And, of course, it will be a better option on resale against a yacht where it wasn't specced!
I have watched other walk through tours on a variety of yachts and you are by far the best. I cannot afford one of these fabulous machines but I truly enjoy the access you give for those of us that find this life style appealing. As you would say in your neck of the woods, "cheers" and all the best.
You videos are always absolutely fabulous and reviews much better than others, you’re not trying to sell us in everything. You’re quite charming with saying, ‘They’re never know I was here unruly teenager”.
I'm not a boater by any means. Airplanes are my thing. I somehow came across your channel and have inadvertently fell in love with boats. Listening to you describe boats/yachts is like listening to David Attenborough describe the world. Cheers from the coast of South Carolina!
As usual I’m always impressed on how you cover these yachts.....I’m seriously thinking of buying one and living aboard one as I live in Vancouver...keep up the good work my man
One thing you never get credit for, and that's going up and down ladders in socks or bare feet. That hurts! But you never pass one up...what a trooper. Thanks for all the great videos.
Lovely Aquaholic upload to watch before Sunday lunch! Just perfect! Lovely boat too! I could see me and the family on here for a week at a time round the Med! Thank you as always! It really brightens up the day!
1 million and you get all that! Not bad. Seen more expensive with less room in it. Perfect for a couple to get away for a week or entertain friends. Even comes with a secluded room for the mother-in-law 😁😇. Now if I only had a few million 😢, I'd buy it. Just would add a fridge and ice maker on the fly deck. Did a great job filming even though you were in a rush. Yet you managed to cover all areas. No problem with the lighting in the engine room.
This looks like a perfect introductory vessel to a land lover such as I. 1 million or40 million I’d always end up in the cabin crew due to snoring I’ve never heard. Thanks for the tour again and keeping me totally hooked on a lifestyle I. Never even used to dream of.
I usually comment something about how the large roof hatches, "removable" rear walls and opening side windows on modern hard-top boats risk making flybridge boats obsolete, and I do have a preference for such boats, but damn this thing might just win me over! She´s stunning! Classic looks, roomy, great layout, one of the nicest flybridges in its size range (love that they haven't sacrificed flybridge seating for sun bathing areas) and a crew cabin that dont make your crew actively hate you! Normally on a boat like this Id spec the crew cabin as pure storage. Shelves lockers and all. But this thing is actually usable as a guest cabin every once in a while! Impressive boat and a impressive tour, as we are getting very very spoiled with now! :)
To be honest I prefer your videos of older 'used' boats. Your Fairline 38 video was imo one of the best so far. Watching another brand new princess now again makes me remember how much I like that video.
Totally agree with The Suprahuman. Fantastic finish and quality. Maybe one day we will see a Princess Imperial? That would be a treat! Anyway as always thank you sonmuch for sharing your enthusiasm! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I can’t fault that boat at all. Lovely to look at, plenty of space for the size, easy to manage as an owner without crew, great for family boating, and an excellent tour as always! Hang on, one fault, it’s too expensive 😢 Thanks Nick, keep ‘em coming.
Well done in 10 minutes time, just enough to show everything. And as always a pleasure to watch. I like Princess and the size is also good, but I prefer the older ones. With all your videos, there is enough choice, but not enough money.
I think 55 or 60 foot is a perfect size to start proper cruising around the Med and the UK for that matter. Love the style that Princess exudes. No matter what size the Princess boat... The same style emanates through. Love your tours Nick... More please.
I have stayed as a guest in a sailing boat with a smaller cabin than that crew cabin. This is a fantastic boat - a lot of accommodation for 55 feet. Can’t go wrong with a beautiful boat like that.
By the way, Nick, I still think it would be worth your time doing a tour of a traditional English narrowboat. £100k will buy you a floating home with everything you need.
Such a stunner this Princess 55.... makes for a really hard decision between this and the new Sunseeker Manhattan 55, also a fabulously stylish well laid out vessel....oh the choices
That is a lot of boat for the money. I really do like it. All that is missing is £994,999 that I would need to buy it. Fantastic work on coming up with the goods, again. Thank you for another great video.
Superbly laid out boat, roomy with no wasted space and beautiful finishing - classy without going overboard with the bling. Princess seem very sensible in their design process with practicality trumping unnecessary features or flashy 'luxury' nonsense.
This really ticks all the boxes for the price. Incredible what they have fit in 55 ft. What a fantastic crew cabin for a 55 ft! When you need the extra hand you have an appropriate space to accommodate
Gorgeous Boat, and a Tremendous Value. Well Worth Considering. I really like that you include the Price, the Engine Room, and the Crews quarters. Most don't do that.
I think I enjoy this size of a boat the best, not overly opulent but spacious enough. The interior design is also catered more towards more private and personal usage other than looking like a hotel in the ocean. The crew cabin is at least more reasonable and humane than the last one you showed.
I've always leaned towards Sunseeker for the design point and finishing, on the sub 100ft boats, but, lately after various reviews on this channel I'm thinking Sunseeker need to up their game. Great review Nick as per usual, of a smashing boat, the pillows looked good too....Don, we need you back pronto!..:)
Great tour as always and even under pressure. Well done Great boat for the size and I noticed it had Zeus controls as well, though that may well be an option
Just watched the all new V55. Like it very much. I’m in for longer stays so I prefer this F55. A bit more. By the way it looks better with a bimini compared to a hardtop.
Where are all the *_getatable Miele rainfall showers??_* ;) Great presentation (as ever) and a lovely boat to boot (despite the absence of the aforementioned GMRS!) Thanks for sharing! 👍😊
Goodonyah Nick it would be good to see a return trip from the boat show to Old Blighty in a Princess. Looking forward to the 87 looks like a killer package.
Ah, no one knows we've been here. You always make me laugh with your small comments here and there. Love it! Thanks to you, I'm considering a Princess.
This Princess 55 seam to be a much better value than the V55 you reviewed in an earlier video. What would be the main reason this would be a better purchase than the other, and vice a versa.
So did decide that a 52 could do with an extra 3 ft. Again great review. I said the 52 was a great family yacht this is just as good and could owner operated.
Hello Nick, that's a beautiful cozy boat. Congratulations on now a 110K subs by the way! As I'm re-watching all of your videos of numerous different boats, I was thinking, if you could liken yacht brands to car brands, what would that look like? I tried searching for yacht brands differentiation and particularities but couldn't find a good article. As I understand, you are interested in cars as well, I myself am a car fanatic, currently driving an Alfa Romeo. Which one would be the Alfa, the Ferrari, the Rolls Royce, the Jaguar and so on... I would understand if you don't have the time to play that game, but I'd love to hear your opinion. Thank you for your great work, keep it up!
Unfortunately I will never own a yacht but (never say never right? :D) if I'll ever do I WANT the fly bridge.. the place is a must on every boat.. like the view is just stunning and just immagine manoeuvring the yacht from up there.. JUST WOW
I’ve watched all of Nick’s videos and pondered the fly bridge question myself for many a happy hour (while choosing my lottery numbers.) It is the ultimate social space.
I've never understood the appeal of the sports yacht with their single deck. To sacrifice valuable seating/sun bathing/bridge controls for a slight improvement in profile...... crazy.
Another great review. Have you seen the Princess F50 yet? There only seem to be a couple of videos on YT from Asian channels so wondered about that one as the F45 is only a two berth and looks like the F50 is a 3 berth. The idea of co-ownership does appeal to me so am considering this with a good friend of mine, that is to buy "something" not quite sure yet, sometimes too many choices can be a difficult call.
I think it's going to be a tough fight between the Princess F55 and the Sunseeker Manhattan 55 when the latter comes out next year. Both the brands know how to make really amazing yachts.
You got a LOT done very efficiently in this video. Third bedroom and crew bunks look to be short for anyone more than 5 feet tall. Princess offers a very effective layout in this 55.
Hi Nick, thank you for the great videos, I liked the one where you buy an Eighth of the boat, but every one would want the same weeks , this boat however is a beauty, what would the running costs be do you think per year.
It's odd how videos don't do justice to these boats. We saw this in-person at the Seattle boat show yesterday, and in comparison to others it's just miles ahead - feels much more open, great interior design, and all-round nice little touches everywhere. American boats fail in comparison, when you have a Cruisers Yachts or a Carver standing right next to these, the exteriors all look fine -- but then the quality of the builds and the "feel" of the inside aren't comparable. If I'd invest into any manufacturer right now, it'd be Princess.
A 55ft boat. . . No crew required although adequate quarters for me. The galley as you enter the salon means no privacy. A great boat nevertheless and a great British yacht builder. Awesome video Nick.
For protected waters or just off shore these are beautiful pieces of marine engineering. I prefer an explorer yacht... long range and open sea worthy (trans Pacific or trans Atlantic). However now often would you do that? Still I like the ability to travel around the world in your own yacht.
Very nice indeed. Princess really do manage to make their boats look luxurious 🙂 I'm interested that you say 2 people could manage this, as I'd assumed it might be just to big? Is stern to mooring possible with 2 people if you have the separate cockpit controls?? Thanks again for a great video. Even at speed, you capture the essence of the boat and what we need to see 🙂
I love the fit and finish on the Princess Line, such wonderful small ships. What do you think it will make in knots with those engines Nick? Wonderful tour as always.
Lovely boat Nick Princess do make superb and beautifully finished boats. However the Azimut 53 has a better fly with the same accommodation so it would be a difficult decision between these 2
Elegant and classy boat, very difficult to go wrong with this Princess. And in an 8 way owners club 150-200 is very manageable for a lot of people as long as it is uncrewed.
Why is there often a mirror above (or behind) the BBQ? Really curious. And nice video ofcourse. I watched almost all of them and also the three videos where you were on a holiday with your fam, awesome content and the holiday was well deserved! All the best
And all that for just under a mil. But I guess you can pulverize that threshold easily by making the appropriate check marks on the options list. Nice boat nevertheless. About the size I'd be looking for in case of winning the lottery because I'd prefer an o/o boat. Thanks for the video.
My favourite is the Fairline Squadron 58 but this comes close. I'm just trying to work out how the Princess offers such a roomy master cabin and a crew cabin while the 58 come up short below deck in comparison.
