This is… simpler than my other vids and that’s because I ended up debating whether I actually want to finish this draft I started before 2x09 or not. I loved the episode for the most part, but the way they ended up ending Spock and Chapel’s whatever it was with ONE LINE on her part frustrated me SO. MUCH. Spock deserved better. Spapel deserved better. Just WTF.
Because of that, I don’t have a lot of inspiration for SNW in general right now, sorry. Despite 2x09 being a mostly great episode. I absolutely loved La’an’s solo and the ensemble numbers and just, well, most of the things, but ah well. But honestly, with Spapel I just wish they’ve left it at her having unrequired feelings, because the rest just doesn’t make any sense to me aaaand I have a lot of feeling about the matter obviously and could write an essay on why it makes zero sense and this is not the video to talk about them.
SO! 😂 Regarding Jim and La’an, it kinda feels like he WAS leading her on, but at least he actually had the decency not to start something else while having another relationship. And I’m glad La’an took it… well, the way she took it. I love her and James’ relationship because of how open and… cute she’s around him, and I can’t wait to see more of that side of her in general now that’s she’s decided she should be more open. This was the song I was sure I’d use for them (that or another song that has a way more depressing tone, but when I actually started editing I got a sneaky suspicion that maybe another song should be left for Spapel… and what do you know 🙃🙃🙃)
