This is without a doubt the best version of Oblivion I have ever seen/heard. Masters, all four. Restrained, but keeping the tension all the way through. Beautiful, but not kitschy. Haunting. Awesome.

No mater how look at it, being sad, being happy, in love, out of love, if you’ve had heartbreak or more it just brings the sour sweet taste of life all in this beautiful song.

Such a wonderful piece. Sad, nostalgic, sexy, sultry, emotional. One of my favorite things in the world.

Gidon Kremer's performance of this song is exquisite, he makes the violin absolutely sing. I agree that this is the best ever performance of Oblivion. I play an easier version on the piano, but nothing compares to the sound of his violin. I discovered Piazzola's slow tangos after hearing this several years ago and it is my all time favourite, along with Tanti Anni Prima and Chiquilin.

Astor Piazzolla!!! The Mozart of the Americas. His music and his Soul will live forever. Such a beautiful Masterpiece played from all the best classical musicians of the world. My Spirit rejoices when I listen to ALL his magnificent compositions. Astor will live forever!!!!
