"Ålänningens sång" - Regional Anthem of the Åland Islands

The Ålander's song is the Åland islands' regional anthem. It was written by John Grandell and set to music by Johan Fridolf Hagfors. The song was performed for the first time during the Mariehamn song festival in 1922. In Åland, it is now sung, for example, around the Midsummer poles on Midsummer Eve and on Åland's Homerule Day on June 9th. The song originally had four verses but the third verse has long since been omitted when the song is sung and is often omitted when reproduced in print.
