I still think that Polad Bülbüloğlu sings it better, but this also gives a different feeling to the song. Magomayev's singing is something between displaying Azerbaijan in its glory but it also has the recalling of past glory; sort of like he is singing about an Azerbaijan that's been lost. Bülbüloğlu on the other hand, sings it like Azerbaijan has never died and will keep being there in all its beauty. I mean, considering that AzSSR has collapsed, perhaps Magomayev's singing is more true to the history, but I still like the cheerful tone of Bülbüloğlu.
