Actually could be. I think 44kw is geared more heavily, you can really leverage first 3 gears. Also 50kW version is quite hopeless in low to mid revs. This was pretty much the same in older Favorit and Felicia engines. The low power versions just feel little bit better.
Torque! 44kw (ame) best torque (and power) near 5000rpm. 50kw (bby, aua...etc) best torque 2900-4100rpm and then dramatically fade. Both shifted near 5500. First on it peak, second on torque&power faded zone.
why? obviously people who buy these cars don't care about performance, this engine was made to last for a long time without losing it's efficiency. for example my parents have this engine, and yeah it's pretty slow but it's 20 years old, has over 250000km and still does 3.9l/100km. so it's an engine for people who don't really care about which car they own, they just need it to be cheap to maintain and long-lasting
@@-CarAcceleration You got offended without a serious reason but I wont hold it against you. Yes, youre right those engines last a good time but I have the 1.4l Gas Fabia which is now at 200000 and runs perfectly. So these engines in general last pretty much.
@@mustafazeytin4801 i drive non turbo diesels since january this year and truly no need to be sorry for me :D Yeah, slow as fuck, but damn, no worrying about anything, not even spark plugs and ignition system like in the simplest gasoline engines, any greasy and liquid crap you chuck in the tank the car will start and drive, plus no need to worry about cooling down turbo, what else could I want from some cheap shitmobile :D The biggest problem? Often cars with N/A diesels are already so old everything except the engine falls apart, while the engine start first click :(
not all speedometers are like that, our fabia shows the speed correctly, but when i was in a renault it was 6kmh off. it differs on how well is the system done in a car, some get a little messy after a few years but some work well
How is this possible that with 138hp the car with weight 1065kg have acceleration at almost 9seconds?!? That's long. Especially if 60hp has 11seconds!!!
@@kali8607 but i can see in the video, the car is going with same power to redline.I can't say anything if you're using 1.9 SDi but this is N/A engine and i can see the car continue give peak power to redline.
@@denizuysal9188 I'm looking at the power graph of the 1.9 sdi right now and I guess it does make some power all the way to redline. So it may actually be best to rev it to redline for fastest acceleration. My bad
