It helps to do a glossy top coat before a matte top coat, since it helps to smooth out any lumps and bumps. Matte will always highlight the errors, unfortunately. Awesome job doing this non-dominant hand set, you did great!!

feels surreal watching this because i recently did a similar but black matte/glossy swirls design on my non dominant hand, i also questioned my decision making skills at that time lmaoo 😂 this came out so juicy i love it!!
Rebecca is one of my absolute FAVS! I love love looooove her aesthetic! (I mean my favorite next to you of course) 😊 anyway, Rebecca always puts a layer of HARD gel over her embellishments and the hard gel is sturdier for that and doesn’t wear away or chip off like normal rhinestone gel causing tarnishing. That’s her go to- hard gel

The brush you used was for pigments. Yokefellow gels are great for for the price! This set came out beautiful 💜❤️

By the way not too long ago i did my first long lasting set and gel nail glue has to be the strongest thing cause that soak off method takes time 😅😅 those nail polish bottles look so full, cause the mini bottles are so small.

Just a thought with the ombre. What if you did your lighter colour over the whole nail, cure, and then do your darker colour over the top at the base and ombre that. Trying to blend 2 colours in the middle is always going to be less dense i suspect. Hence the sheer quality in the blending area.

Love how often to you take off the rubber base gel? I’ve never used it but I’d like to try so that I can put on nails more frequently with less stress and damage.
I actually take it off every time because I'm not that great at filing my nails off without ruining it 🥲 but I want to get better at that so I don't have to change it every time 😌 but for now it just relieves tension from my nail beds because I wear such long nails, and it also helps me not to file into my natural nails on accident while removing them 💗 I have a full video about it on my channel actually 😊
I feel like if I soak them I’d have no choice but to take it off but at least tips wouldn’t be pulling at my nail beds as hard. They are sore from a set I had and many no bueno
For the ombré part, you need those small ombré brushes that have just some strands poking out. They’re better and will drag less product. As always beautiful set. Edit: I hope I don’t sound bad,sorry for my English, not a native speaker
I only just started doing nail stuff myself but I find doing a wet on dry ombre to be much easier than doing wet on wet, that’s probably a noob thing tho 😅
Just had another thought. What if you painted the nails on a stand and then either glue them on, or use those jelly tabs to wear them? No more non dominant hand problems. It's pretty much how i do things now since wearing long nails at work when i wear nitrile gloves and quite literally need my finger tips to do my job is highly problematic 😊
Hmmmm yes it might! The only thing to remember is if it's a hard gel and not a builder gel it won't soak off 😤😫 but if that's ok with you it might work better for you! It also might be the base gel you are using or the prep (like cleaning the protein build up off your nails 🫶 I hope this helps! 💓💓
