Buster : "Hiya, Toonsters. Welcome to the 90's ! You know, one of the hazards of being a 90's trendsetter is that, sooner or later, everyone is gonna copy your style. Chill, man !" Plucky : "Chill, man !" Hamton :"Chill, man !" Buster : "Pathetic, isn't it ? Mindless clones following the crowd because they think it's hip and trendy. I don't do things just because everyone thinks it's cool. I'm an individual ! "
@@tapehead3832 I am Italian and some words I didn't understand, seeing them written now I understand them, it's a useful comment for everyone, like writing lyrics of a text
+SeekerofTruth29 Funny thing is all the gadgets got their start in the 90s. Looking back, the 90s is when things really went electronic. It was the age of computers, the internet, cell phones, and consoles even though some of those slightly predate the 90s, it was really their time to shine. Now kids are just more into it.
People are always nostalgic of the times that were 20-30 years before theirs. Thats why its best to understand that your time is THE time and you should enjoy it.
for everyone wondering what song this samples, it’s “(If I Only Have) One Chance” by Yutaka Yokokura the sample is specifically from the last minute of that song
I imagine Yutaka (Carlos Del Y Rosario) singing "If I only have one chance.... see the truth INSIDE MY SOUL!!!" then strumming the Japanese instrument and then transporting through a portal where that part of the song is stuck in time and he sees these moves along with Charlie from all dogs go to heaven.
You’re not the only one listening to this in 2020! Such amazing beat, style and unforgetting intro of a fictional character telling you to just be yourself ♥️
This video was masterfully arranged. In the 90's skaters started the trend of wearing large shirts, baggy jeans, and fat shoes. The style never caught on by mainstream media until the next century. Early 2000's skaters began wearing tight pants and normal sized shirts, which were considered at the time to be size smail. It wasnt until the late 2000's(2007-2010) everyone began to migrate away from the loose fitting clothing and into more fitting clothing and started wearing vans. This is wear the god awful term "skinny jeans" was coined. Basically my interpertation of this video is that skateboarders were trend setters for two decades.
Skateboarders were wearing baggy pants because rappers wore baggy pants lol. They were not trend setters. What really happened was skatboarders used to dress up like rappers until they were made fun of. Then rappers like Tyler the creator dressed up as skateboarder as a way to show off his individuality and he also liked skating. Now stupid sheep are buying over priced shirts with the label supreme on it. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter because your still a fucking sheep. Whether you dress up like in skinny pants because other skaters dress up in skinny pants or you wear a tie because other business men wear ties, you are not an individual. In fact these days dressing up normally is the preferred hip fashion. Why? Because the ironically the only way to be an individual is to realize you aren't.
ahh. . . I Love this, Tiny Toons, skating and music. . . Tales of a Hot Pockets loving latch key kid in the rough Crack Cocaine filled streets of inner city Houston's West End in the 1990s.
80s baby 90s kid here. makes me wonder if the 90s really were this special and their appeal and influence will last the trial of time to reach the classic status, or is it just a temporary fascination, a fad if you will. i will never forget them and will always have artifacts to remind me of my childhood, like retroed basketball sneakers for example.
User interesting, you might be on to something. like, they were advanced and innovative in comparison to previous decades on a whole new level, but they weren't too complicated yet, like it's the case now with extremely murky politics, confusing message send by a lot of music, unreliable media, crazy tech rush and so on.
User people were just as, if not even more obsessed with technology as they are now. the difference is that these days technology is EVERYWHERE, but it wasnt before
User idk, people were all about the technology in the 90's. when the vx1000 came out with those 3CCDs? it was pretty tech for the day and super coveted for those low followcam shots!
...does this remind anyone else of Radio Mirror Park from GTA5? The aesthetic, the music, and the condescending concerned complaining about people "copying an original trendsetters style". it matches up well.
This is funny to me because I was looking for songs and beats for skate parts and here's skateboarding o. This chil channel I've been listening full of amvs which I also find interesting haha. Win win situation.
Used to Listen to this in my teens in 2010s miss those days. Life was not simple like the 1990s but COVID made the world much darker for us in my early to mid 20s.
Thank you so much for this, that little speech was spot on, everyone wants to skate nowadays because it's "cool" and it's whack. I wish skating wasn't cool again.
