όλα τα στοιχεία πάντως λένε διαφορετικά.. Δηλαδή ότι είναι πλήρως Κακοδιατηρημένα. Επίσης αυτοί εδώ πήραν 2 διεθνή βραβεία, οπότε η μπούρδα σου δεν έχει καμία βάση. Τα λέμε.

Δεν διαφωνώ σε τίποτα απο αυτά που λές αλλά ελπίζω να καταλαβαίνεις και εσύ ότι είναι εκτός θέματος.. Το θέμα μας είναι η διατήρηση των μαρμάρων και με λίγο ψάξιμο μπορείς να μάθεις/δείς και εσύ ότι οι Βρετανοί τα έχουν κακοδιατηρημένα. Ούτε παρουσιάζω τους ¨Ελληνες καλύτερους με αυτή την φράση ούτε τίποτα (που φυσικά δεν μπορώ να το κάνω κιόλας, όπως είπα συμφωνώ σε αυτά που είπες) απλά σημειώνω για το συγκεκριμένο θέμα. Τα λέμε.

τέλειο,νομίζω ότι η λύση βρέθηκε...ευτυχώς που τα Παν/μια παράγουν γνώση τέτοια που να λύνουν τα χέρια των συντηρητών..συγχαρητήρια ,στο Παν/μιο Κρήτης και στους εξειδικευμένους του πια,συντηρητές αρχαιοτήτων,επιτόπου...

I was told these statues were originally painted. Won't laser cleaning remove any trace of pigment which could give us clues as to how these statues originally looked? I realize white marble is more romantic...

People have totally wrong image about these statues, according to my knownledge these were colorfull. For honesty there have be replica whit original colors, other vice history is presented from twisted angel. That is thing what has to be beside these WHITE statues. Many levels of restoration, can be done again as they used to be 4000 years ago, and originals kept in safe place. Or you can just swap away dust and let it come old how nature makes things old. Now no one can worship these cause they are kidnapped to museum!!!!! and asking MONEY to SEE things, when you can just take book from library and see it from there, only ones who has real need to see these are professionals or them who use these to preserve their fait. What is fait here, fait against nature? Or can we take there flowers and sacrifices or sing songs or some how else .... can I call this historic impotence, halfway thinking ???
