The bottom bottle is filled with air. When the tank is filled with water, this air pushes itself up and escapes through the blue tube. This increased the pressure in the top bottle and pushes the water in the top bottle out through the other white pipe. This will stop once the water in the top bottle gets over, or when the air completely escapes from the bottom one.
Good one. But what I don't understand is, the purpose of this pump. In an aquarium, we use such a pump to filter the water and circulate it. And we cleanup the filter periodically. Does this pump serve such a purpose? Please clarify. And also, don't we need an air pump additionally?

Great example of a Heron's fountain. Not your invention but definitely you manage to apply the principles of this fountain in a useful manner. No, it will not run forever due to water evaporation but as long as you keep the water level up to par it will run just fine. On a fish keeper perspective this will help with water oxygenation but be careful not to take away too much water on your water changes. Have you thought about couple the fountain with some filtration system? Again, nicely done. 👌

For purpose, I see thiscould this could be used if a power outage occurs to keep the surface agitated and allow for oxygen enter the water. You would need another tube with the shut-off valve going into the lower bottle that you would blow air into after it was full of water to restart the cycle

If you use metal barrel, it will not work,as metal is hard in nature and less flexible than plastic...bottom horizontal bottle need to be of flexible material which can squize by water pressure.... There is 2 chances of water flow stoppage in this video... 1) When vertical bottle becomes empty from water. 2) When bottom horizontal bottle flexibity gets over and stop to sqize more and becones full of water by red pipe water inlet. This will work for a minutes, say 30 to 45 minits and stop... Not flows a water forever.

It's a heron Fountain if i'm not mistaken So should be 8-10 hours at least Make it everlasting by bringing the waterreservoirs to the same level and connect them with eachother. Don't remember how long that works, but it goes a very long way
@@sansloveless3941 as you could see in the not even 1 min that he was showing the finished tank it was already stopping and the lower bottle was almost full. So not that long. And lasting forever it would not. That would go against the laws of physics.

Look closely at the water level in the upright bottle from 04:12 .. it keeps decreasing.. in some time this level will come down to zero and that's when this fountain will stop working.. or if the air pressure in the second bottle drops.. there is no such thing as "free energy".. it's just a fun project, that's all it is..

U can use Wacker 121 rs 400 or macoy siliruab aquarium silicon rs343 or either doswil , normal Wacker and best and cheap - resibond all aquarium shop in my area uses resibond silicon cost around 200 to 220 rupee they even make 8 feet tank with this silicone
