Looks like it would be a good thing but I'm rather sceptical about the seal on the bottom of the bottle.... Maybe by using a square shaped more ridgid plastic bottle or even a piece of pvc pipe with a baffle would be something i would be able to sleep better at nights with however, the idea is great!!👍🏻
I would add an overflow spout near the inlet just in case the filter clogged when I wasn't around. I'm sure a few people have pointed this issue out by now.

Tienen que tener en cuenta , que no lo vas a dejar meses sin limpiar , el filtro se limpia cada semana y la pecera es pequeña , no tendrias problemas , si te da hueva y eres de los que no atiendes las peceras y tienes ese miedo ponlo como filtro "interno" y si se tapa no tendrss problemas de "inundaciones" como dicen unos ... It is a good idea but you intersperse kapas filter between the different stones and it gets clogged very easily causing more maintenance. It is better to separate them with a mosquito net, for example, and put the kapas filter before the stones

Kalo filter kotor lalu sumbat airnya bakal meleber ke mana mna..mestinya ada selang dari bagian atas botol aqua sebagai auto lavel jika filter sumbat air yg memenuhi botol aqua akan kembali ke aquarium sebelum tumpah dari bibir botol aqua
wtf did he just do? This blew my mind. How did he do this? I'm trying to make it so I can put a breeder box on my tank and fresh water from the tank will cycle into the box... How do i use this concept to make what I want to make happen?

Use polyester instead of cotton. Cotton falls apart quickly! You should rinse the polyester every few days. It's better to replace it a few times per month

I think I'm going to agree that this is a bad design. I'm not even going to get into the pipe connections. It's going to work, yes. But down the road, things are going to clog and water is going on the floor. An emergency outflow would probably fix the issue but then you have the issue of fixing the issue as it's going to be difficult.
Fine2 aja , kan fungsi nya jd rumah bakteri. Saya juga gitu malah d dalwm tank ,media toples sosis isinya zeolit batu apung kapas lalu pake aerator untuk ukuran 604040 kondisi outdoor .. Sangat2 fine no ijo.. Wc seminggu sekali bersihin lumut yg nempel d kaca belakang ( ikannya karnivora 1 biji big size)

@@rudiwahyudi2047 bersihin nya pake air aquarium lama, wc pun nyisain 20 % air . Pas habis wc di tambah em4 setutup botol . Knp g pake filter external ? Klo satu aquarium sih gpp ya . Klo puluhan tank kan mesti cari alternatif ngurangi bujet listrik ( bukan kaum mendang mending) solusi nya adalah biofoam yg d modif lg ... D breeder diskus guppy pun sama kok gitu

please don't follow this idea. very worst filtering method.only few hours or minute run without problem.outlet flow slower than input flow your room will change to like fish tank
It is a very stupid filter.when it will clog, the water will flow overhead. Plecase remove The video, because The beginers will copy this idea and it will be a disaster in their room.
Simply drill a small hole in the pipe inside the aquarium just below the surface of the water. By the way, this filter also works in the aquarium itself. Instead of the bottle, I would use a plexiglass pane and thus increase the filter area considerably
You are stupid. It works and it doesn't clog unless you do it right like this guy does it on the video. You haters come here and comment stuff up. You remove your comments and spend alot of money for filters. Alot of people do DIY to save money and it works out. There many pros fish tank people who don't even use filter but just media. Want me to make you a fool over here? I don't think you want that.
