And make sure your go 3 is the same version as in the video, in the video just remove two screw to take off the grill, but mine is pretty hard (dt) version is completely different, it needs to remove 6 screw, and the board design also different
Many thanks for a great teardown video! It is rare that you find such a unique design in a miniature speaker at that price, that can be non-destructively disassembled. Thanks especially for pointing out the driver movement and the seals - how it achieves a high SPL for its size. I know you can use multiple GO 3s, but no one seems to document this. Thanks again.
Just remember one thing the product will be no longer waterproof after you remove it completly ( I'm not mentioning if you remove grill I mean the entire speaker ) Nice video Jin thao ! Love it!
I just did a teardown of my JBL go 3 and it way way harder. In this vid, once you unscrew those two side screws the outer shell just comes off. but on mine, there are two additional hidden screws holding the outer shell down, which are located underneath the gray plastic resting panel on the back (opposite the JBL logo). The gray panel was held down by a strong, gluey tape, as well as the normal plastic overhangs that pop lock into their sockets, so it was difficult to get off. I had to totally mangle the outer shell to get it open. Not sure why mine was made differently.
For some reason my speaker was not charging at all, the audio was crackling at high volume and it turned himself off after removing the type c charger. Was very odd to me. Tried every tutorial to "reset" the speaker to factory defauls and none of these seemed to work. The issue was that for some reason (quality issues) the battery was not plugged all the way in and it got unplugged after a couple times due to regular use, that means that it was not properly connected when assembling the device. SOLUTION: was opening the device and connecting the battery properly.
@@HBV90 It looks like more or less the size of the battery with 1100 mAh... Do You think the battery can be replaced with the one which has more mAh?Thats the only downside of this speaker (750 mAh only).
Yes in think that is very possible because I have a battery out of a pair of Bluetooth headphones that is 800mah and it is a lot smaller than the battery in the go 3 so yes it is definitely possible you could probably get a 1500mah battery that will fit inside
Dude yr the dumb one because why would they use more expensive materials when thay try and make this a small adorable loud bluetooth speaker they use a weight because it is a lot cheaper than using more expensive materials duhhhh
Im wondering if I could turn it into a small hidden storage. In the video it seemed like the top cover would be fairly easy to get off and if i would take out the speaker and all electronics and put it back together, it looks like that’d be a perfect fit: easy to do, unsuspecting and big enough. Anyone got any ideas on improvements or maybe doesn’t agree w my idea?
Thanks! I had troubles turning up the volume and almost through away the speaker.. now it fixed, with a bit of super glue, it's back to normal! Much oblige:)
Interesting. I just saw another teardown of this exact model ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RV3b9MdTG0U.html) featuring a completely different circuit board. Either one of them is fake, or they decided to cheap out on its components.
did you buy in brazil? because I saw that it has the name ANATEL, which is an electronic products regulatory agency here, which proves the originality of the product! or was it imported from here to where you live?
Thanks fam, I work in an auto shop and I always have one of these in my pocket, I had a bunch of metal shavings on me one day from grinding a tow hitch weld. Long story short I got metal on my speaker and every time I use it, the thing rattles the shavings around inside. You just saved my sanity!
I find this one actually sounds a bit more balanced than the one up model (I.e. the Clip 4). The Clip 4 has a little bit more bass but overall muddier sound, less crispy on the high end. Also the Clip 4 does not stand up unless you buy an aftermarket shell case, which could cost you another $12. Overall I think the Go 3 is a better choice if I have to choose among the two.
unable to do it , i remove top & bottom covert , remove 2 screw at 2"12 i unlock the half front ok , but the half back ( 2.13" , dont want come here :( ) scary to broke it :( what to do ?
It may be useful if it get battery drain issue or maybe the press button or USB charge port not work after using for a while, it is still possible to DIY repair it.
@@peterwaster4657 probably to be sure that is build exacly how the brand says, also to see components, build quality, and show inside to the ones who wanted to know
Да нет вроде, акум норм, динамик тоже, дизайн получше, да и материалы как всегда на высоте... Почему ты так подумал? Утежелитель нужен чтобы колонка не прыгала от басов
