@@lopesinho I hope it was just a genuine mistake. But after red dead 2 alot of the top guys left the company so..... We'll see, I'm nervous for rockstar haha
This guy drained 5 Batteries (4-5Hours each) just to make this comparison for us and he doesn't even stretch the Video to 10min. Gotta love this dude 😍
A huge issue is probably that the render distance is way too high compared to the original version gta san andreas where there was fog in the distance so you didn't see across the entire map
GTA trilogy running poorly on switch isn't an indication of GTA 5 not being able to run. The trilogy definitive edition is a poor remaster that runs badly even on next gen. GTA 5 could definitive run on a switch as it can run on ps3 and xbox 360. It's just rockstar who doesn't wanna put in the work to port the game.
@@o_4972 Your smooth means 30fps? My CPU is AMD Ryzen 5600X and the framerate is unstable like sometimes 60 and sometimes only 30. Even Cyberbug 2077 can run smoothly with Ray Tracing on my pc.
@@Fogolol I agree. The first SA remaster that was released had the tapping removed, so you couldn't get to choose whether you want to pedal slowly or at max speed.
GTAV could run on a switch…. The original ram on an XBOX360 with less ram and GPU… just needs to be optimised (and made by rockstar rather than Grove St Games)
@@weltvonoben Switch online could definitely not handle GTA Online. When I had my switch It was barely able handle a full Mariokart 8 deluxe online server without lag. Maybe things have changed since I last owned one. I just got an Oled version so I guess I’ll find out.
@@samuelparham3363 yea, but unfortunately online is the biggest part of the game. When people had it own switch they would wanna play online which is not possible, ergo Rockstar shitstorm. We can be happy if GTA 4 arrives on the switch
@@titustelesco2870 BOGT was fire. Only because of the nightclub and online was better. I forgot why, this because of buzzards? Or something else. It was something that the other gta 4 didn't have online.
Actually it’s not the switch’s fault I have a 3080 and I optimized everything and get 123 frames on average at close to max settings I belive gta should of waited a bit longer to let the game be more worked on So the switch could run gta 5
@@flick2flick the lite just looks so much better then og and oled (not counting oleds screen) but better form factor for portability. the other switches seem kinda janky but fine to play on handheld in comparison
@@botdog370 I regretted getting the lite due to the fact that I got joycon drift and the controllers are part of the console, I have an oled now because of that
Rockstar didn't made this remasters, they tasked Grove Street Games for that which they preciously did the 10th Anniversary remasters many years ago which you find on mobile phones today, back then this studio was called Wardrobe.
L.A.Noire was on Switch. GTA 5 would be fine. The problem with the gta trilogy is poor optimisation. It doesn't even run at 1080p on base ps4 or XB1 which tells you everything... it's a shame. Still fun, just butchered ports all round.
@@TheL1arL1ar actually.. SMTV run on UE on switch and have massive pseudo-open-world with almost 1-sec teleports to different parts, even between Da’at and Tokyo
@@xemnass True but gta might be a physics and a particles thing with a lot of variables in play…Isn’t the game you described more of a traditional…jrpg with roaming map collecting stuff then running into enemies to trigger turn based gameplay no? Also I believe digital foundry’s video on LA noire I watched years ago…stated the ps3 version is actually better looking than the switch port. It’s also up to the devs…plus Nintendo knows…we will buy almost anything look at that sweet switch tax…why bother sometimes (from a business perspective)
@@TheL1arL1ar You got the digital foundry video wrong, what they actually said is that the textures are overall better on the Switch and plus 720p Ps3/360 vs 1080p Switch docked is quite an upgrade
@@tmpmisterix1479 Ur right I watched it again and the only thing ps3 does better is the draw distance and the way it handles of drawing in objects when driving.
You can achieve a relatively stable 60fps on GTA3 and VC, with the Vita. As for SA, it runs alright at 30fps. With overclocking you can get it to run stable 30fps with some graphics improvements such as reflections and shadows. All games run at full resolution iirc.
nearly 5.5hrs on the OLED, man I think thats really good! how is the frame rate? I don't think you can get too angry about resolution on 20yr games, but the frame rate needs to be there. Great video :)
I've been having a ball playing on my phone. I never thought i would actually be able to use remote play as a secondary way to play my owned & gamepass games but I'm loving it. I don't like playing any games with just the touch screen buttons, so I bought the Game Sir X2 Pro & it's been fun asf‼️
I think the v2 depends on when you got it; 2019. Battery can depleted more overtime, giving the playtime time a bit less vs the recent oled release. Anyways 4h is alot.
Don't let these disgusting ports destroy your hope. GTA V runs on PS3, and the Switch is a lot more powerful than a PS3, so of course GTA V could easily run on the Switch, but it would have to be optimized for it.
@@anbu727 Yes, but the Switch is more powerful than a PS3. Besides, even if GTA Online wouldn't be possible on the Switch, I think most people would accept GTA V on the Switch without online play.
It will never happen Gta online can never fit on Nintendo switch cartridge and Nintendo switch online can't handle it and without online rockstar will never release it because that is how to they get Money
Gta V could run on the switch. Switch is 4 times more powerful than a ps3 so maybe they port the ps3/xbox 360 versions to the switch, add some extra things from the next gen versions (this would run similar on the pc version with medium settings) and add an gta online with no cross-play support (just like the playstation versions) and less people to join (and maybe some downgrades on graphics when playing gta online) it would be cool if they do exclusive missions to the switch if the game don't has cross-play
@@juanthehorse2905 if you want to play gta trilogy on pc you need more power than the gta v to run. Gta v runs on medium and some low-end pcs really well and if you play gta trilogy right now on these same pcs that runs gta v perfectly you will get an laggy and unplayable experience simply because they optimize this ports really bad.
There are some games that can be optimized for the switch well but it doesn't work well for every game since they are downgrading games from 4K to 1080p/720p with 30fps it's just so outdated. But it's not all that bad if you aren't used to higher frame rate or 4K gaming.
It's really more the engine than the resolution. Resolution is scalable, engine requirements aren't. It's based on ue4 which is an engine meant for ps4 so it just doesn't run great on switch. Hell even on ps4 it's not optimized to hit 60 fps really If they used an older engine it would've came out better That's also why gta V could easily run on switch. It wasn't made with q modern engine, it was made for ps3
This isn't such a major issue for me. I'm primarily a handheld gamer (PSP, ds, Vita, switch) and coming from playing the PSP/Vita GTA games like LCS and VCS the battery life is better on the switch.
It’s just me or is normal that under characters or vehicles there is some strange blurry stuff? If I play it handled is less than using tv but is like when you have a poor internet connection and you are watching a video on RU-vid
I feel like maybe Switch should upgrade to a Switch Pro or Switch 2 soon, I get that performance and graphics isn't what matters for the Switch community. Nintendo games ofcourse runs well as they are designed to run on the Switch but I get why third party developers struggle to make a game made for 2022 consoles + PC has a hard time making a smooth experience on a 4GB RAM console with 2017 hardware that runs on battery. The games itself are starting to be so big and even the Xbox One and PS4 needs to drop down to 900-800p just to reach 30 or 60 fps on new games. Then you can imagine the compromise they gotta make to make the game work on a Switch.
there always is the possibility of a new nintendo switch (if it were ever to happen you know its gonna be new nintendo switch with new nintendo switch games like the 3ds) but for current gen games im assuming they'll pop out a bunch of cloud version games for the next couple of years
Maybe we should stop blaming the Switch and start blaming devs for releasing half-assed, mediocre ports? There is absolutely no reason as to why these games run badly on the Switch given that it can run far more demanding titles like Skyrim, Witcher 3, Portal 2, Dragon's Dogma, Nier Automata, DBZ Kakarot, Dark Souls, etc. Even better than a PS3 or 360 can. Seriously, I see you guys blame the Switch's hardware for these shitty GTA ports or for the KH games being Cloud Games. Instead we should start blaming devs or else they're going to keep doing half-assed work.
@@Naruxos07 The switch h has been outdated since launch with 2015 cpu if they used the tegra x2 at least we would be getting a lot more 3rd party pc and console games with decent performance. We need an uprgrade
Gta 5 could possibly run at 30 fps yes at the level of graphics of xbox and 360 or ps3 but at least in portable mode it will be playable at thats what we're looking for
Hearing that the definitive edition on the switch is running at 480p made me not buy it. We’re in 2022 and the switch is really running it at that quality?
Here’s how to play the trilogy the best way. Get an ipad, get the games there, they’re cheap too. Use your xbox controller, or any bluetooth controller. Boom. Literally 10x than the definitive edition.
switch is much more powerful than the xbox 360 in every... single... spec... execept storage, Switch does struggle a bit with things that were completely focused on the PS3 weirdass CPU architecture, but thats not the case with gtaV. GTA Online updates take so much god damn space. If rockstar decides to launch gta V on switch without the online, it will be no issue. (gta V was 16Gb on xbox360 at launch/2-8gb discs), but thats where Rockstar is making more money with GTAV. Plus, I don't think they would release the same game again, for a 7th time, with only the single player content. Nobody would buy! And thats why gtaV will NEVER be on switch. The problem with the triology is just extremely poor optimization.
What do you think is the biggest battery hog on switch? In my experience it's either grid autosport in performance mode, or DOOM Eternal. They seem to drain batteries faster than zelda botw
Gta V would run better than the trilogy on the switch, on pc the trilogy runs very bad, and you can play gta v even with intel integraded graphics, its just rockstar
What is point of checking battery life in 3 different games? Okay if we compare switchs we can decide which we can buy, but it doesnt matter how much battery game requires, we will buy it despite fact that some game can consume more.
i didnt even know the regular switch is considered the V2 model, when they updated it with better hardware for i guess the same price compared to the consoles they released in launch. makes me wonder why the V1 is so bad?
Will Nintendo Switch games have better quality also on the TV screen with Nintendo Switch OLED console or only on the Nintendo Switch OLED console's screen?
The switch can 100% run gta 5. These were ported horribly and the switch is more powerful than the Xbox 360 yet the 360 has gta 5. It also has games way more demanding than gta 5 on it now
I think the most impressive thing about this video is how you could even stand playing the definitive edition for more than 20 minutes. Game is unplayable on my switch. Freezes every 10 second when you're driving at a decent speed. Makes some missions actually impossible to play. I hate that I wasted money on that mess of a game.
Could anyone answer this for me please, t is it normal white lines to appear bottom of screen while driving? It only happens while I'm in two different types of camera view.
Tu vois un moment tu ne jouais pas sur la suite OLED mais tu continues de jouer sur les autres consoles c'est pour ça que la suite OLED a une plus grande durée de vie parce que là-bas tu es dans les réglages du jouet
We all need to buy this so Rockstar sees the potential for GTA on the Switch. We could maybe even see GTA 5 ported over if enough people support this trilogy.
I’ve used it to target the ai From San Andreas I use ceaser gang They shoot they gun into me I take it till 5-13% Go into my house save Comeback rinse and repeat to -20 powers After that I go into my garage and trap them Go into my house save Comeback out check my car edits
abt the gta V dream...It could be out there an stream planform to stream the game from a console or pc or even a cloud...Dunno, I never had or played nintendo switch, I just been playing PS P for all my life
Every version of the Nintendo switch is underpowered as fuck, and that really sunk in whenever this guy mentioned how the switch struggles to run these 20-year-old games
hey so these results being different could be because of ither reasons cuz the switch lite was made with a new battery wich was then put into the uppgreaded origianal switch wich was then put into the OLED
