Vice City Stories has probably the best licensed soundtrack out of any game/movie/show in existence.

In my opinion, that sunset feel from vice city stories is a pure definition of vice city. It has those vibes in it tbh. I can spend my time looking at those shades though it is a game

Vcs and Lcs deserves a lot more attention.

GTA Vice City Stories was super underrated being last game in 3D universe it introduced so many new features like empires building ,improved melee combat ,new type of weapons and vehicle , the storyline and characters were also well written But being exclusive to PSP/PS2 the graphics has aged very poorly i wish Rockstar games make a proper remaster of this game and Liberty City Stories both of them are forgotten GTA games

Vice city stories is my childhood, i wish i could experience that feeling of playing it as a kid again

What I recommend is to compare the PS2 versions of both games. The PC version of VC is missing the trails which is what gave it its warm atmosphere

Some of the character animations in VCS look very similar to SA

I'd like to correct some moments :) Victor can't swim indefinitely until he completes Beach Patrol missions. Until that he has limited stamina and when he is out of it, Victor will lose his grip on water and will drown like Tommy; Both Tommy and Victor do receive fall damage, but it is substantially decreased compared to GTA 3 or GTA SA; Tommy, while having only one button to commence his attacks, he actually can attack his enemies with different attacks depending on the their direction (for example, Tommy will punch and kick those who in front of him, or headbutt them on his right, or punch with his elbow on his left)

10 years ago i bought a psp and gta vice city stories to pass my free time while serving in the army. I couldnt believe that im playing a 3d open world game in the palm of my hand. 10 years later, im playing gta v on high graphics on my steam deck...just unbelievable how technology changes...

Vice city stories and Liberty city stories are so underrated imo

In GTA VCS fighting mechanics, you missed the part when you can grab someone from behind by tapping triangle, and a) relentlessly kicking him with a tap of the circle or b) snap their neck with a tap of the triangle again. That’s how I constantly killed the Mendezes in every mission replay.

A nice compilation of the features differences but yeah both games has their great things but VCS was way better. One thing that you forgot to mention of the features that has VCS over VC and even ALL the previous GTA games which I absolutely loved was the enhanced side jobs (or "R3 Missions") in which now has checkpoints in the levels (by each 5 levels completed you get a checkpoint) and the Taxi job was fantastic since added a new variety of passengers in which there is the traditional: "Go from point A to point B", but now there are the passengers that asks you for chase a vehicle, escape from the police, help it in a robbery or a double travel (go from point A to point B and then take it to point C).

I really think you should have compared the ps2 version of VCS to VC

Most funny than not seeing Tommy swimming and just drowning, is Vice City manual stating that's because sharks attacks. The excuse for Gta III was because the waters of Liberty City were toxic. I just hope that the invisible shark attacks are corrected on GTA VI

Tommy can kick someone while on the ground. The fact he couldn't in this video means there was a glitch. He can still kick someone while they're down. But he only has a few punches and kicks in a fight

Bro Gta VCS was the first gta game i played on PS2 back then but damn i was expecting it to make comeback on PC in the Remaster but turns out i was wrong but i did like VCS more than the other one though Fun Fact : Vic Vance can only drown when hes in the water for too long

Tommy can attack NPCs on the ground if he has a melee weapon such as a golf club, If he has one then he will swing like he's teeing off.

The storyline is also very underrated (gta vcs)

I just wish they fixed the cars disappearing from garage bug on the PSP versions. It's fine on the PS2 ones, but this bug is very annoying on PSP since that car you took pains to get will just go poof when you save and reload

Also there is the drive by in Gta Vice City Stories where the passenger gets their head out of the window in order to shoot unlike in Gta Vice City which is absent in the latter
