Здравствуйте, Елена. Я очень переживаю по поводу сдачи TOEFL, так как от этого зависит моё поступление в Университет. До теста осталось меньше месяца , а я не очень уверена в себе. Но ваши видеоуроки мне очень помогают. Я практикуюсь почти каждый день, но у меня нет человека, который мог бы мне дать оценку. Не могли бы вы оценить моё эссе? Everyone has different opinions about this topic. Growing up every young adult wonders whether to live with parents longer or become independent and live his or her own life as soon as possible. Many people believe that living longer with their parents gives better chance to have a great relationships with each other and be closer together. However, I personally believe that to become independent from your parents as soon as possible, better prepares you for your future successful life and gives your important skills to deal with different problems by yourself. Furthermore, in my personal experience it does not necessarily mean that living longer with your parent is a great way to have a close relationships, but you also do not have your own life. So you can feel very upset, because you have problems with your parents and you also depend on them. I think that being independent from your parents helps you a lot to prepare you for your future life. I have recently red from on research that people who became independent from their parents being very young, are happier and have better relationships with their parents, than those who still depend on their parents. Because independent children have their own money, house and life, when they visit their parents, both express more happiness than those who live together. Furthermore, independent children are able to help their parents materially, which gives both parents and themselves the reason to proud. That is why it is easy to conclude that to become independent from your parents gives you a better chance to have a happy and successful life. Finally, it does not necessarily mean that you will have a great relationships with your parents if you live with them longer. I believe becoming independent as soon as possible from your parents contributes for your future successful life.

Здравствуйте, Елена. Я пытался написать эссе по вашим инструкциям и наткнулся на множество проблем. Мне часто делали замечания мои преподаватели, что я пишу всегда поверхностно не проникая вглубь. Я прислушивался к их словам и старался совершенствовать себя в этой сфере. Впрочем, когда я начал практиковать writing in TOEFL у меня появились проблемы. Мне дается всего 30 мин чтоб написать independent essay, но я не могу сделать это во время, потому что я расписываю свои мысли очень специфично. Пожалуйста оцените мой эссе и дайте советы о том как я могу сократить содержание In our generation, each school has its own rules, restrictions and permissions for pupils. One of the important things that is related to these categories is whether pupils have to wear school uniforms, or not. Though some pupils prefer to have a free choice of clothes for school because they like to put on their expensive, beautiful, or even intimate-excitatory clothes to stand out in front of public. I personally believe that wearing uniform is much better because pupils look same, and therefore, they can merge easily with society of school. Many pupils believe that having a free choice of clothes allows them to differ from their classmates and become unique. They just want to stand out in front of public and get the most attention. However, in my personal experience, I think that pupils who try captivate others by their own style of wearing, are in danger because they put on costly clothes, or even such clothes that don't cover some parts of the human's body. If you are dressed in expensive clothes, somebody probably will believe that you are rich, and so, he will try to rob you. Some girls who study at schools, wear short skirts that cover only their breech and leave their legs completely naked. Thus, they attract boys, and who knows, maybe one of them will want to rape the girl with such available clothes. I not only want schools to require uniforms, and also I want them to provide uniforms with not intimate-excitatory design. In addition, having a free choice of clothes allows pupils to show their statuses, and therefore each pupil estimates his classmates’ statuses by their clothes to find a friend with same notions. For example, you are a person with negative customs, such as drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes, and a girl in hijab is sitting next to you. You won’t start conversation with her because if she is carrying a hijab, you probably will think that she is a person of decent behavior, and so, she doesn’t drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes like you. Because of your different notions, you will probably believe that she will have no desire to talk to you. However, if she wears hijab, it doesn’t mean that she is a good girl, and you will be a bad companion for her. You shouldn’t judge a person by his looking. You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. I believe having uniforms allows a pupil to contact easily with his classmates. The pupils feel much comfortable when they wear school uniforms because they are equal to each other thanks to same looking, and it allows them to conceal their statuses that might prevent others to communicate with them. I have recently read a piece of research that states that pupils who wear school uniforms, have a good relationship with classmates, and they learn to find out a person by communication, not by his looking. Therefore, it’s easy to conclude that having uniform is a great probability to get to know people. In conclusion, having a free choice of clothes allows you to stand out in front of public, but also put you in danger. Therefore, it’s much better for me to have a school uniform because pupils in uniforms don’t attract the attention of malefactors. Furthermore, pupils who have identical looking, give an opportunity to others to get to know them better. Therefore, I personally strongly believe that there is nothing better than having a school uniform to have a good relationship with classmates.

Да эссе слишком длинное, нужно учиться правильно планировать эссе, а не писать все что в голову придет на эту тему, смотрите выше в комментарии неплохое эссе с точки зрения планирования.

Скажите пожалуйста а как насчет повторения одних и тех же слов в эссе? Я просто читала много информации, где советовали использовать как можно больше синонимов и заменять слова, например те же siblings, которые очень часто используются в тексте эссе, а также присутствуют в вопросе можно заменить на brothers and sister и тд, или это не так существенно для получения высокого балла?

Конечно вокабуляр является одной из шкалов оценки, поэтому нужно использовать синонимы.

Елена, а Вы не подскажите мне нужно сдать Toef на 80 баллов, каких ответов требует этот балл? Я никогда не сдавала Toefl и очень волнуюсь, мой уровень языка между upper-intermediate и advanced, есть ли у меня шанс?

HI Yelena... Could you please have a look and let me know what exactly I should change about my essay? I is very important for me, as I am going to take the test in a month. Thanks in advance :) Nowadays to be helpful for your community is considered as something old-fashioned. Personally, I think that young people are not subjected to help their communities, because they are too busy with their own career, they think they will not be accepted by the heads of their community and also they spend too much time on Internet. Firstly, the 21st century is a time of opportunities, new projects and an enormous sources of information and knowledge. Young people do not want to waste their time to help their communities, as it takes a lot of energy, time and also money. The modern youth is too busy by building their careers. They read very much, they do a lot of researches and if they want to they could do a lot of useful things for their community. Also, even if a young one would like to do something helpful for their community and bring up a project to the heads of the community, there is a small probability that the project would be accepted. Currently bringing into life a new project is time consuming and requires a lot of money and resources. So young people by predicting this kind of a result just do not try to do something. Moreover, nowadays a vast part of young people is busy by killing their time. They waste their time on the Internet, watching stupid videos, listening to music and following different bloggers. They basically are not interested in doing something worthfull for their community. And there is no possibility that you can make this kind of young people to leave their computers and start helping their communities. Taking into account all three mentioned points as conclusion I would like to state that even if young people do not help their communities the government or someone responsible should do something to wake an interest in young people to give a few time to their communities.
