@@danielecostalonga135 He's fully died twice as far as I remember. Once by Ares' hand and once by Zeus. While you could argue that since he went back in time it doesn't count, he had to die in order for the leter events to happen so I believe it still counts. But my main point to the comment was that he's left the underworld more times than that.
@@135SolidSnake jep now that I think about it you are right Basically killing kratos means making him just more hangry, the best option is to ask PLEASE not to tear me
@@zeroglitch13 well, war strategies is one thing, that’s just troops and a battlefield. Sure he knows how catapults work, bows, axes, understands how they work, etc… But the fact that he can solve puzzles(something not actually taught in the Spartan army) and as we see in 2018 game, uses his environment to his advantage. That takes incredible IQ. He’s self taught in that area too.
He's stronger, smarter, better I see what you did there Seriously if the aesir put a finger on Atreus we will see a Kratos that makes the younger look like a kid throwing a tantrum
If you see the trailer yesterday, you see kratos going to the tree (place where Odin gaining knowledge by stabbing and hang himself on the tree) Maybe kratos Will do the same thing due to curse by the Greek gods (kratos can't die by his own hand)
3 years in the novel Kratos has been in Scandinavia for over 300 years he just was never interested in anything apart from his wife so much so he never noticed 300 years passing which is why he thought Faye was a human
Yeah even if you put the games and novels in separate universes, Kratos literally has a son that’s at least 10 so the whole 3 or 4 years line makes absolutely no sense
@@raggielotho4157 you know, the games aren't the actual way Greek mythology went, it's practically a what if, and most know this. No need to point out a nuke just dropped
@@DRQNite you do know he can still develop all that as he grows right? He’s barely a teenager. He was a kid in the first game. The next game, if there is another time skip he would certainly look more built
@@DRQNite He may be scrawny, but he has alot of durability, the fight with Heimdall, the fight with Baldur he took a heavy punch that even the giant snake fell fell to, maybe 2 3 punches and jormie was down, he took one and was winded and wasn't majorly hurt, plus his many battled throughout, so I'd say he's strong, but like Kratos and Mirmir said "When you work for them" "But if you want the physique of one, you better start picking heavy things up and putting them back down"
Yup true and basically kratos could just went out there killing every single one of gods if he wills and of course he would need support like athena throughout the journey, Baldur and Freya would've been long dead by his hands
He's holding back and it makes him physically weaker, he's denying who he really is and trying to be better about it. He is really good at it but it takes a toll on his body. Atreus was sick for a long time because he didn't know who HE truly was and it took a toll on HIS body. Thats why.
He was very aware of the dangers in the Norse pantheon. He’d just never ran into any of the God’s do to Faye’s protection spell in the surrounding forest. He had lived there for much longer than four to five years. It’s explained in GoW 2018 there is a moment in Tyr's temple where we learn it has been asleep for 150 winters. Later in the game in the temple, we see a Greek vase with Kratos on it, meaning that Kratos must have been in Midgard for at least 150 years.
@@Matt_Underwood I wouldn't say 40. Probably a few years wandering around and meeting Atreus mother, however old Atreus is, and the length of the events of the first and second game.
this is true i saw some major spoilers and even thor says he is holding back too much and that he wants to see the real god of war and play on his feelings as a father
@@EeeTtt333_Eric he doesnt have infinite power all gods have limits but he doesnt want to come off as a monster to atreus like he said we must be better he really want that the next generation does it better just like a regular father but im sure if he used all of his rage and old ways in gow ragnarok the game wouldve bern over in 40 mins gameplay+story 😂
And he is not old and slow, creators already said that he just grew stronger, and VERY stronger. The only thing he lost is the skill with the Chaos Blades, and he recovered it on the GOW Ragnarok.
@@solidsnake8780 yeah but I think it's gonna be by hands of his son (Loki) since in real mythology Loki was kinda the cause of Ragnarok that killed all the Norse God's
@@solidsnake8780 lol, kratos “dying” does not mean he is down, kratos prolly dies just to reach Valhalla or some shit , he can come out death like it’s nothing, he only really dies if he wants to
bruh Kratos with Compound V would be so Overpowered, Even if he hadnt used it as a baby, and even if it isnt the V that can be used on an adult without side effects. any Compound V on Kratos would make him even stronger, if thats even possible for Kratos.
That's what I was thinking but I don't see what they could do to make him lose control through loss, my guess is the kid gets kidnapped. I don't think they'd kill the kid but they should make him go beserk one way or another, we're dying to see it.
They’ll turn Atreus against him somehow. That’s the most plausible in my eyes. He was known as a trickster god and I’m sure Odin will try to warp his mind talking about how everyone Kratos is near dies.
I'd also like to remind people.... Remember in GOW when Kratos caught Kronos's hand when he tried to slap (crush) Kratos? And instead of stopping it he managed to push it away with enough force to move Cronos back? Yeah, That's Kratos with his god powers and devs confirmed that older Kratos is stronger the reason why he is slower here is because he doesn't use his god powers as much BUT is still able to move a a giant bridge, crush skulls, and destroy trees and much more as a "mortal" so I can't wait until they show more of wiser more aged Kratos
Yeah the one you're talking about is the old strong chad kratos who went out from hell cause didn't feel like dying today not this version of weak kratos
@@qusaymarashdeh3653 This version of Kratos doesn't use his god powers and doesn't try Basically he's living like a mortal, right? Well how much mortals do you know can move a bridge (with effort), back hand a god and send them flying, and destroying the environment (logs, trees, walls, etc.) with pure physical strength without effort They already confirmed old wise Kratos is stronger because of the fact he can do all that without tapping into his god-hood and without relying on his powers Proof of this is in the intro fight with Thor, normal "mortal" Kratos can punch and move Thor, but one punch from when Kratos actually tried and Thor felt it (he didn't feel anything else before hand and he didn't have Baldur's curse)
@@uphi-downlow5792 you make a good point ,the godhood powers thing, yes old man kratos can move bridges, destroy the environment for sure, but old kratos could defeat titans and overcame gods like Zeus who's infamous for his super speed and power, even Hercules couldn't stand a chance against kratos. And that's what , at least, i would've liked to see from kratos himself, I mean a weak boy became a general, a man who defeated a god, a mortal became a god, a god who slayed entire pantheon. In my opinion kratos held the privilege on his fight with zeus cause he was super prepared and he got a long history of battles the man was constantly in fight to death, yet the last fight for zeus was thousands of years ago.
The directors are writers already said old Kratos is much stronger than his younger self who fought Zeus so I guess that makes Odin the biggest threat he’s ever faced
Fun fact: Kratos has ultimited strength but he only uses the strength required for any given tasks. That’s why he can flip tyrs temple and semi-struggle opening a chest.
I just hope he delivers a line like "don't make the same mistake my father and pantheon did.. they didn't live to see the error of their ways, it's not too late for you all father.."
I believe he was also holding back in the last game mainly because he doesn't want his son to see that side of him. But I think something is going to snap and we will see his real power. Pretty sure it will be over 9000 😂
You said that that he has spended 3 years in the Norse Panteon. Atreus is like 12 years old in GoW 2018 and 15 in Ragnarok. And don't say that Kratos met Fey in the first day that he arrived in the Norse Pantheon
I like how the specify this version of Kratos, cause they said in another video Odin would bascially destroy Kratos. (Though I think they were more so referencing Ares)
Also the fact that he doesnt want to awaken his full rage power because he's scared of going on another rampage(the 1st one made him kill his own wife n daughter) so he holds back...
@@crisschan2463 Because a bunch of people who haven’t played the Greek Saga, decided it was “misogynistic” and “without emotion or maturity” or “the graphics are outdated”. Basically a bunch of fools
@@mediamanjamessmith251 indeed, they missed the reason why kratos have become like this in the new game Weird people getting sensitive just because a character depiction have to be like that (also basing in a real mythology with such lavish culture)
I think Kratos can beat him but it will probably take something great to awaken the anger required because Odin is said to be many times stronger than zues so yeah, gonna be tough.
@@AmaryIIion well, somehow.. I mean they can already tell that he is a god and Frye knows that Kratos is the God of war and God killer, and Buldar seems like he is aware where Kratos is coming from
@@Omega-jg4oq baulder was only after them at first because he was looking for Kratos's wife not knowing she was dead. He was constantly being surprised by Kratos being able to power through everything he threw at him and this was clear as day just before he was killed. Magni and modi clearly didn't know because modi was also very surprised by Kratos's power and didn't even know he was a God until kratos killed his brother so I really think the only one would know anything is Freya, Kratos I think is a mystery to the Norse gods and it appears thor is about to find out just what Kratos is in the new trailer that came out a few days ago.
The one thing that I’ve noticed in the god of war 4 game lore is that they are piece by piece downplaying oden by making him out too be someone who projects he has all the power when he doesn’t. And that he cuts corners pretending hes all powerful
@@Celestiallev his Obsession with ragnarok and the prophecy of the nornir drove him mad and he wanted to change it, instead of pursuing peace he dedicated his godhood to destroy anyone who could be a threat.
Kratos killed Zeus and Zeus is the gigachad of strength and power. Like Zeus is straight immortal and can carry the universe cause of how ridiculous he is. Zeus would also clap Odin.
ODIN : I am always one step ahead to avoid the Fate from Ragnarok and prevent Aesir God from death. Kratos : The Hands Of Death Could Not Defeat Me, The Sisters Of Fate Could Not Hold Me. Me : Sounds like a Plan. Do not act so surprise 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Kratos actually spent more than a decade in the Norse lands. Loki is more than 13 years old in God of War Ragnarök and he wasn't born in Greece. Don't forget that his wife Faye is Norse too so he didn't spend only 3 years in Scandinavia but something around 14 years.
Actually, Kratos has not only spent 3-4 years in the Norse world, he was with Faye there for a while before Atraeus was born, and was there the entire time Atraeus was growing up, so he's been there for more like 14-18 years, as we aren't sure on Atraeus' exact age
