GIANT thank you for this. I'm a launchpad noob and there were no instructions I could find anywhere on how to play the instruments included with the launchpad....until this.

It's incredible how ridiculous are the questions people ask you. I suppose that's the audience you get for some reason, because you explain very well. Why are they asking about price if they can pause and look it up in 2 seconds on Amazon? Anyway, keep the videos coming. They are well done.
You are the king of replies! I have been wanting to get into mixing my own chill music, but I don't want to jump into the deep end and drown. I want to start in the shallow end first. Any tips? Budget is under 100 USD
Great, informative presentation. I just ordered a Launchpad MkII from a big online retailer and should get it tomorrow. The Pro was way out of my budget (so was the MkII). The first Launchpad video I saw, about a week ago, was K-Pop Culture by TAK and I knew I had to have one. Just ran across this video, and I'll be checking out your channel to see what other goodies you have. Thanks!

Hey guys! I see these videos of people playing amazing songs on a Launchpad, and I find it fantastic! It has inspired me to try and learn how to use a Launchpad. But I do not know exactly how to start, and I do not understand how to use a Launchpad. I have essentially no experience with a Launchpad. Can someone help me out, and give me some resources to use? I would appreciate it a lot!
This is probably an nooby question, but I want to pick one up for myself, but everyone I see using it is using an apple computer. Will it work with windows, and is this good for an first-timer?
are there any things that you can use to make music, but do not require anything like a tablet or a laptop , I want something I can just sit down with and make a song with
rMysery the mini is cheaper than the pro. I'm not sure how much it is but it's cheaper than the pro but I recommend the mk2 but it's more expensive than the mini
Can someone tell me what these are and how they work. Can you actually make music with this or do you make music on a program and this triggers the specific reptition of sounds that you create? sorry, I watched this and am still a tad confused. I really want to get into making music and I am new to all of this, so if you could link a video that explains things well, it would be appreciated.
another thing is that can a mini work on a laptop cause I have a laptop but want to get a novation launchpad mini mk2 so will it work and by the way awesome vid good job
Is it good for beginners?? I really want it, but I don't know if I should get MK2 or this. Also not a computer geek so will I have more trouble doing this or should I be ok?
You should be okay :) Lots of tutorials out there - always a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but you'll definitely get the hang of it. Full review here for more info: www.digitaldjtips.com/2015/11/review-video-novation-launchpad-pro/
I use the MK2 for doing basic stuff like making beats on Ableton but get more use of it for FL Studio for it many bank selections compared to using it in Ableton. I have the Pro for performance and it’s really something you shouldn’t sleep on. But it’s on your budget and what you want :)
is it possible to set up the mixer sends button at the bottom to hold and latch like the volume button does? So we don't need to continuously press the sends button all the time while doing the adjustments?? Thanks
+pepeflores2003 Thanks for your question! The mixer sends button works two ways: If you press it, it turns the grid into a control for the sends level. If you hold it down while pressing a pad on the grid, you get to adjust the send level, and then when you let go for the Sends button it reverts back to whatever you were doing :)
It's meant to integrate seamlessly with Ableton (plug and play), though I imagine you could use something else! Best place to ask such questions is on the Digital DJ Tips Forum (www.digitaldjtips.com/forum), where the whole community can see your issue and hopefully help out :)
Can these make dubstep music I'm trying to make my own dubstep music and before I spend 100 dollars I don't want one that just makes drum noises and not get for what I'm spending. I love dubstep and I want to make some just just wondering if it's possible.

Live is a piece of software that is compatible with the launchpad, you need software to tell the launchpad what to do, but there is other software you can download that works with it. Short answer: It's a digital download.
If you think you're going to use it, yes! Remember though with production, all you really need is your laptop and some software - the rest is optional.
