В дерев України з’явилося більше голосів, які можуть відстоювати їх інтереси, ґрунтуючись на знаннях біології дерев, дереворуйнівних грибів та отриманих навичках оцінки стану дерев! 29 осіб отримали сертифікати "Інспектора стану дерев" від польського Instytut Drzhewa.
А ми рухаємося до завершення виконання проєкту «Міжсекторальне партнерство для зеленої реконструкції українських міст», в якому з 1 червня 2023 року Peli can live був головним українським партнером. Проєкт співфінансувався Польсько-Американським Фондом Свободи в рамках програми «RITA - «Зміни в регіоні». Проєкт ми реалізовували у партнестві з Fundacja EkoRozwoju та з @instytutdrzewa в пам’ять про нашого колегу Семена Обломея в рамках проєкту Semen’s Oblomei Foundation.
Важливою частиною проєкту було створення першого в Україні Курсу «Інспектора стану дерев». Ми разом з нашими партнерами перекладали підручники, обговорювали наповнення курсу, знаходили найкращих лекторів та адаптували програму навчання.
Значна частина проєкту була профінансована за рахунок благодійних внесків людей, небайдужих до проблематики догляду за деревами в місті та людей, яким також дорога пам'ять про Семена. І це один з найголовніших результатів проєкту: наше суспільство не просто говорить про необхідність змін в питаннях догляду за деревами, воно само приймає участь у цих змінах!
Кількість заявок на участь в Курсі втроє перевищила нашу можливість прийняти студентів, і довелося прийняти більше учасників, ніж було заплановано.
Дуже дякуємо всім викладачам курсу за прийняті виклики та Ваш внесок в розвиток арбористики України! Особлива подяка Пйотру Тишко-Хмельовцю, як головній рушійній силі проєкту!

The trees of Ukraine have more voices that can defend their interests based on the knowledge of tree biology, wood-destroying fungi and the skills gained in assessing the condition of trees! 29 people received certificates of "Tree Assessor" from the Polish Instytut Drzhewa.
We are moving towards completing the project "Cross-Sectoral Partnership for Green Reconstruction of Ukrainian Cities", in which #Pelicanlive was the leading Ukrainian partner from 1 June 2023. The Polish-American Freedom Foundation co-funded the project as part of the RITA - Regional Improvement and Transformation Activity. We implemented the project in partnership with Fundacja EkoRozwoju (the leading project coordinator) and the @instytutdrzewa in memory of our colleague Semen Oblomei in the frames of the project ‘Semen Oblomei Foundation’.
An essential part of the project was the creation of the first Tree Assessor Course in Ukraine. Together with our partners, we translated textbooks, discussed course content, found the best lecturers, and adapted the curriculum.
A significant part of the project was funded by charitable donations from people who care about the tree-care problems in the urban environment and who also cherish Semen's memory. One of the project's most important results is that our society is not just talking about the need for changes in tree care; it is taking part in these changes!
The number of applications for participation in the Course tripled our capacity to accept students, and we had to take more participants than planned.
We want to thank all lecturers, for taking on the challenges and their contribution to the development of arboriculture in Ukraine! Special thanks to Piotr Tyszko-Chmielowiec, the main driving force behind the project!
We thank each course participant for their time and desire to gain/systematise knowledge, as well as for their inspiration, love for trees and desire to move forward!
