F-35b is a little better then f-35a and f35b got vtol tech comes with it aswel. Also f22 raptors are the real showstoppers 🤪😜 when it comes to manoeuvrability and agility but f35s are better in different other areas.

As far as dogfighting compared to the F22, the F35 is still a capable dogfighter vs. a lot of other 4th fighters. And that’s crazy to think about. Lol

I was at the Miami Air show a couple of times and saw the F-35 & F-22 demo flights. They are quite impressive to see in person. Remember, the F-22 was developed in the 80's. Considering the age of the jet, it still is a dominant platform. Unfortunately, the Air Force didn't follow through with the plans to buy many more.

Red Flag 2019, a F-35 pilot with 8 hours recorded on the type shot down 4 aircraft. 1 more and he would've been an ace in a day. He also saved an F-16 pilot with over 3,000 hours experience.

The problem was they were built as multi-purpose. Any kind of alterations, they have to restart internally from the beginning. Not to mention the parts were sourced from many different countries that doesn't exactly compatible with each other.

Should hopefully get new F-22's out of the F-35 production line if that manages to squeak through.

This is the f35b which is physically and systematically restricted to only 7gs due to the extra weight from the extra equipment for the STOVL ability. The air force variant can hit 9 g and sustain anything below that easily depending on speed and pilot ability. The other f35s are capable of even greater maneuvering than the B model in this video

The initial P51 was severly underpowered, which any fighter pilot rightly hates. Once they fitted them with the Rolls Royce Merlin engines, the aircraft was much more capable.

Here in the U.K decommissioning the Harrier was yet another stupid decision by the Brit government. It's all they're good at when it comes to our armed forces. Even with its numerous upgrades, it still has a very useful role to play within our inventory. What do we have now? F35s and aging Typhoons.😤

@@dronessential I love and hold the utmost respect for the Harrier, it's drivers, and those who service and maintain all facets of it's operation (I was in a Harrier Support Sqdn after all - ooh rah, MAG-32/MALS-32) - but the F-35 is a wholly more capable A/C in comparison to it. It can fly much better/faster, can carry much more ordnance, can faster and better assist the Marines on the ground, and can get the Marine Pilots back from their sorties much much safer - it's a generationally superior A/C, IMO and also in the Marine pilots' opinion....

Agreed. I saw one today at very close range, followed by the Blue Angels. Six F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets together were not as loud as one F35 Lightning II.

They are insanely loud. I lived on a mountain in inland Norway, where the F35 daily flew over. It vibrated the whole house. The F16s never did that

Вот только Су-35 за счёт отсталой электроники проиграл воздушные бои французскому Рафалю. И кому, спрашивается, нужны все эти чудеса сверхманевренности, если F-35 может незаметно подойти к Су-35/57, пустить ракету раньше, чем его засекут, и тем самым выиграть воздушный бой? И насчёт маневренности заблуждаться не надо: F-35 выигрывает по маневренности у F-16, а у того с этим всё в полном порядке. У F-35 всеракурсное управляемое сопло, так что он тоже обладает сверхманевренностью.

Costs a lot more fuel to do that than to coast a circle from a few miles above radar range where the air is thinner.

And impressive to hover with that much control while rotating. Seems handy while briefly evading missiles or detection behind hills and valleys. Seems plausible that even just a moment of this ability could well save the pilot and plane.

@@care2think611 its not really supposed to be used during combat, or during normal flight. its really only for take off and landing on carriers like the Queen Elizabeth. it takes quite a while to slow down enough to hover like that, and once its slow it takes just as long to speed back up. it seems to me like it would be far too risky to put yourself in a state of zero energy during combat, since you wouldn't be able to maneuver to dodge missiles, or really do anything against a faster bandit. the only thing you would have on your side is terrain masking (if the terrain is suitable), which you could do without hovering by just flying low

F 22 истребитель которому пока не равных ,китайцы пытаются , но пока далеко , а у F 35 другие функции притащить незаметно 2( он мало заметный на радарах и Израиль это не один раз подтвердил) ядерные бомбы,незаметно войти и уничтожить системы ПВО ,засечь с громадных расстояний самолеты противника 360* пустить по 6 самолетам ракеты и неспешно лететь на обед.А ещё отслеживает запуски ракет с расстояния до 1300 км и их сопровождает .И ещё кучу всего это же электронная платформа и связь поддерживает со всем от комвзвода до спутников .И ковырки ему не нужны не 41 год .

The F-35 is considered the 2nd most maneuverable US fighter and only lags behind the F-22 slightly. The F-22 can easily outmaneuver any Sukhoi at high altitude and is basically the same at medium to low altitudes where the air is denser. In terms of speed the Sukhois won't be flying faster than Mach 1.5 while loaded with missiles. They are only faster when unarmed, because external missiles cause drag and Sukhois don't have semi-recessed stations, so they get the full effect of drag for each missile carried.

@@IslandCrimea ... тяговооруженность - это немного другое. Если мне не изменяет склероз- тяговооруженность величина относительная и равна отношению тяги двигателя к снаряженной массе самолета. Размерности не имеет. Lkz А-35 - 0,67 (если тяга фосажная), для Су-57- 1,07 (при тех же условиях). Как- то так.

А видимость на радарах у него прекрасная, особенно с фазированной решеткой его видно за 200 км...а эти радары фактически стоят уже на всех российских самолётах...даже на старых СУ27 СУ 30 и далее...поэтому этот хлам,а это признают даже американские пилоты,представляет собой посредственность за рекордную цену...Ф22 получше Ф35,но значительно дороже,а стоимость летного часа у этих обоих экземпляров просто зашкаливает... Это признают и американские и китайские,европейские,индийские специалисты в области авиации... Невидые они только для американских радаров работающих в определенных диапазонах частот,а видят их даже старые советские системы 60 годов прошлого века и на дальности для поражения...)))

@@krapkau4667 вы достаньте любой самолёт стингером,когда он летит выше 5000 метров...Такое может говорить только школьник ,который насмотрелся тупых роликов о применении Стингера...А любая Сушка может работать даже с 9000 метров по бронетехнике,складам,живой силе противника...почитай характеристики даже того же Су34

These are way more advanced than the original f13s of the 80s. The old stealth bombers were flat. Theydont compare to the f25 or f35 jets of today.

The f35 is slower but can reach altitudes crazy high. And the manueberability of these planes is amazing

I was making a delivery right next to edwards and I'm guessing it was a emergency takeoff but everything shook it was so powerful !!
