It's possible because literacy is kind of new to Christians. In medieval times lots of preists were illiterate & didn't speak Latin. (This was so for the village preist in the town where Joan of Arc was born, FWIW. He recognized her as a saint when she was 9 or so. It took more time for her to convince educated Christians.) When common clergy were illiterate reading the texts wasn't posdible. In Judaism the preists had to be literate from the very beginning; from before Christianity ever existed. After all, Jews are "the people of the book."
Jesus died in 30CE. The Second Temple was reduced to rubble 40 years later. How was he suppose to rebuild a third temple if the second one was up and running while he was alive?

As a Christian, i read the whole Bible, but i never read any harry potter :). My believe is Jesus will restore the twelve tribes on behalf of God. The Old Testament covenant is for earthly kingdom living under a Leviticus priesthood. In a levitic priesthood the king can’t also be the high priest. That is why David will be the earthly messiah. The New Testament is how to get to heaven and live in the heavenly kingdom. The heavenly kingdom is ruled by the higher melchelzdek priesthood where the King can also be the High priest which is what Jesus is in the heavenly kingdom
