My mom bought this Red 800 DX Ac in 1985 from Competent auto- CP Delhi. used it for 16 years, 100k km and sold in 2000 for wagonr. This car was way ahead of its time. Imagine AC, Seat belt and front Disc brake in 1985. The AC actually worked with zero effort on engine. Mom is so impressed with Maruti, driving her 4th Maruti. We still regret selling hot red hatch in 2000🚗
My dad purchased the next version from Competent Motors Delhi I think in 1989. Red color. I am from a small town in MP called Rewa and It was the first Maruti in that town. Many people used to come to see it.

Mere Papa ne poore Bhopal me saalo tak koshish ke baad finally yahi car red color me 2008 me kharidi. Papa chale gye April 2021 me, par mai ye gaadi unki yaad me rakhe hu. Hamare paas 4 car hai 2 Maruti800 ek alto pr iska Jawaab nhi.

I had bought the 85 Dx model in 1995 and didn't want to sell it so I gave it to my brother and even today it can touch 100 kmph with ease. The AC is super. Even the tail lamp bulbs are original and still operating... that is Japanese technology.. hats off...

My father had a 1984 model of this Maruti 800. We kept for 16 years but due to spare problems we sold it. I have gone on 500 km long drives in the car. It was excellent. Hats off to this gentleman who could restore it to mint condition. Even Tendulkar is not able to find his first car of this model.

I got Kwid recently. Really a great car. Don't know why people spread rumours about this car. Its actually a nice car. Fun to drive car. Yes may be engine is not that power efficient but i am not a racer kind of a guy. By bs6 engine noise feels none. Only the start vibration present in it. We bought kwid for me and 2 tribers for 2 friends. Same day delivery. All of us are happy with renault cars. But didn't liked the service experience.
