What are some specific symptoms of adhd we should as a parent look in our child.. my girl is hyperactive, keen observer, very fast learner, sharp memory, have high EQ as well as well as very sensitive, she is 3yrs 4 months old but sometimes talk and understand like an adult. M confused about her being suffering from adhd or not? Kindly help..

As you have said that the child is keen observer, so it is itself clear that she has no attention deficit, ADHD has several grades, your child may fall into hyperactive impulsive category, But the diagnosis can be made only if we examine the child thoroughly. Also, emotional quotient should be measured appropriately by a therapist. Please visit a good occupational therapist around you for the clear diagnosis and management plan.

It's a real problem. I have two kids one ADHD other is not. Both run around climb and jump off things. Trust me there is a difference that parents can see if they don't wish to close their eyes to reality.

@@hinahabeeb4541 my daughter she was very normal till one year old but after that she has become very aggressive very active she always wants to climb somewhere cant sit at one place for a minute also she has one broken arm and stitches on one right eye and on the chin i mean you can understand what i am going through whenever i go out and i want to remove something from my hand bag i can't leave her hand because she just run even if i say 100s time tk stay at a place once she ran on the platform in mumbai while i was taking water bottle after that i never leave her hand and she is also not good in making friends....my baby is on 4 years old i will definitely visit doctor

@@hinahabeeb4541 For one thing, the child is unfocused in conversations as toddlers ... My son used to just run off whenever I tried to talk to him .. a general air of restlessness and compulsion to move around endlessly, other child might seem the same but she's very focussed in conversations and all her work, and their seems to be more intent in her naughtiness than compulsion. At 12 years old, that same son is continuously touching stuff often unknowingly and even breaking things unknowingly .. his hyperactivity may seem toned down only because it is now less random .. for example he may walk around like a stroll while talking instead of jumping off and rushing around like he did as a kid and may make multiple trips to the terrace where he might run about and do as he pleases because there's no audience there. I've worked hard with him making sure he learns to express himself esp in stress situations and laid excessive stress on his education esp learning based so now he finds several subjects interesting and spends time learning about them and works hard on subjects he's weak at. I've never given him the excuse though as a child it was really difficult for him to focus etc. If you wish to talk let me know I'll share my email id with you
