I have tried multiple recipes for dhokla and didn't get good enough results. But this is by far the best dhokla recipe i ever made. I like how you make us understand the scientific reasoning behind certain steps and why they are mandatory. The dhokla i made turned out to be so spongy, the texture was same like the store brought one, without the use of eno. Also, i used the electric beater since i had one, saved a lot of effort. I am never following any other recipe after this, i found my best one. Thank you.

I could not make perfect dhokla earlier,but after using Bharat's technique it's first time I made perfect Dhokla when my five years old son watched this video and told me to make dhokla,he asked me,Mummy who is telling this recipe ,and when I started to make dhokla, he sat on kitchen and started instructed me to use same technique as Bharat did and and I made perfect . Thanks Bharat !!
I used baking powder texture was soft but didn’t fluff up like Eno. Bharath you need to tell us if we use baking powder should we wait for 10-15 mts before steaming. Also, 2 cups water was a bit too much for 2 cups gram flour. I used 3 cups and sifted it.

Thank you so much sir. I try this receip at home and its very good in taste. But that time i don't have few things like Lemon, and hing so i skiped these step. But without these two things the dhokla is so perfect and its so good on taste. When the dhokla is screamed very well then i fry the dhokla with onion then it will be a super delisious on taste. After all a big thanks to you bcoz i tired alot of time this receip previously but some time it good and some time it bad. But honestly i like your measurement, you give us a correct measurement receip which is very important to make any stuff with its corrent measurement. So thank you so much again. Pehle jab dhokla bnaya tha toh aadha kaccha hi reh gya tha, par bharat bhai aapki recipe dekh k dhokla bnaya toh dhokla bilkul cake ki tarah bowl m s bhar aa gya n sponge toh kamaaal ka tha... Thankuu bhai
The dhokla turned out perfect. This was my first try, so I was a lil worried whether it would turn out well or not but the comment section was a boon to me as it induced a confidence in me. Thank you for this wonderful recipe❤. The dhokla was not only perfect in texture but also in taste. It was so tasty that it could be eaten without any chutney(Tho I made one :P).

Me and my children love dhokla but every time try to steam it some goes wrong like not cook properly or soggy...so if u can kindly tell me if I I can bake it in the reg oven (not microwave) if yes please tell me how in details! Thank you for the recipe. I tried it. It turned out spongy but I added some turmeric for colour bcoz of which it tasted a little bitter. Don't we require adding turmeric to the batter?
Dada.. banaa tau jaali daar aur tasty per spongy nahin thaa. 2-3 Baar try ker liya. Doosra ek aap exact besan aur paani ka measurement in terms of weight of besan and vol. of water in ml bataiye. Yeh a bhi tak kisi ne clear nahin Kiya hai, bas texture ki baat karte hein.
Yup u were right i too observed the difference with and without citric acid....And both your dhokla recipies are amazing and the dhokla comes out perfect every time.....👍
