Mustard cake (and powder) fertilizer is commonly available organic fertilizer. It can damage to the plants if properly not prepare and apply on the plants.
Key points to consider while making mustard cake fertilizer.
1. Mustard cake and water mixing proportion - if it is highly concerntated it can damage plants, especially in summer season. Diluted proprtion is safer than concerntrated one.
2. Application method - plants soil should be dry while applying fertilizer. Do not put fertilizer directly on the plant stem. It should be applying on the soil. Water the plants once soil are dried. Otherwise oily powdery stuff may develop fungus.
3. Dosage of fertilizer in each plant - It depends on the size of plants and pots.
4. Interval between two ferilization - Mustard cake powder is a slow release organic fertilizer. Hence atleast 2-3 weeks interval is recommended between two fertizer time period.
