Hi Mayo...While making Indian pakodas, the batter should be of semi- thick consistency. Besan acts as a binding agent. Your mixture was bit dry. Hence the veggies splattered separately in the pan. :)
Correct.. You need paste like consistency.. of besan and the vegetables should be small in cut size.. Also chat masala is not needed.. Instead you can put normal green chilli small cuts in that
Hi Mayo. Just a small tip. After peeling d onions, soak them in cold water for 2-3 mins, wipe them n then cut the onions. This step prevents tears while cutting the onions.
This is the first time I'm seeing India pakoras. ( Not Common in Delhi ) In India, they simply slice potatoes, dip those pieces in besan batter, and fry them. I'm writing down the recipe for Aloo Pakora. Aloo Pakora Recipe: Ingredients: 2 medium-sized potatoes 1/2 cup besan (gram flour) 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Oil for frying Instructions: Wash and cut the potatoes into thin slices. In a bowl, combine besan, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. Gradually add water to form a thick batter. Heat oil in a deep pan (kadhai). Dip potato slices in the besan batter and fry them in the hot oil. Fry until the pakoras turn golden brown, then remove them and place them on a paper towel to drain. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup. Tips: You can add other vegetables of your choice to the pakoras, such as onions, green chilies, or carrots. Add a bit of chopped cilantro (fresh coriander leaves) to the batter for extra flavor. You can add a little semolina (sooji) to the batter for extra crispiness.
Like their are no specified vegetables for it. I have tasted these pakora and they taste quite good. So, it's upto her and she mentioned she doesn't like green chilli coz in Japan people hardly eat any chilli..
The beauty of India is that you go to diff states n you will find a local version with local ingredients.... Hence you r free to experiment bas mayo is doing
I like the way you speak in Hindi. You look so cute while speaking in Hindi language. I have listened more about Japan's technology and it's a great nation where mostly citizens are educated. I have never come to Japan, but I really want to come to Japan once in my life.
I was waiting for a cooking video but this time I felt sad because it's monsoon in India now and after watching this video I am having a strong craving for pakodas.lots of love

The best part of this video is Mayo's running commentary!! Many have already given tips about making better pakora. So,I will talk about her husband. He seems to be a good guy( of course! He has to be! Otherwise why our bubbly girl Mayo will choose him?) We wish both of you a happy and healthy long life!
I know!! I memorized it wrong in collage and I can't stop saying lol I didn't even realized I said it again in this video lol But thanks for letting me know again!
