यह गाना सुनने वालो के मन मे एक दर्द भरी कसक पैदा करती है। आज भी यह गाना प्रासंगिक है। गीतकार, संगीतकार और गायक रफी साहब ने इस गाने में दर्द को महसूस किया है। वैसे ही कोई गाना इतने दिनो से इतने दिलो को झकझोरने में कामयाब नही होती। आगे भी यह सिलसिला चलता रहेगा जब तक इन्सान के सीने मे दिल धड़केगा। यह सच है और यह भी सच है कि इन सबके बावजूद भी रफी साहब को कभी 'भारत रत्न' नही मिल पायेगा। यह इस देश की बदनसीबी है। #bharatratnarafi

गीत हो या नज्म रफी साहब की अद्भुत आवाज़ पाकर उसकी पंक्तियां जीवन्त हो उठती थी तभी तो कहा जाता है रफी साहब गीत को गाते नहीं उसे जीते थे और उनकी यही विशेषता उन्हें सर्वश्रेष्ठ बनाती है ।

This song was used by the Grt.Producer,Director and Actor Late Guru Dutt for his film.originally it was an Urdu Nazm(poem) Chakley written by Sahir sahe.The original opening lines were 'sanakhwan_e_ taqdees mashriq (Purab ki pawitrata ka gun-gaan karne waley) kahan hain.Sanakhwan e taqdees e mashriq ko lao.The Urdu words in the poem were difficult to understand hence some changes were made but the originality of the poem was preserved.Great work and efforts by late Guru Dutt and the music director and ofcourse the writer and the singer made this song a rare gem.

लाजवाब और शानदार पेशकश थी गुरु दत्त साहब की। रफ़ी साहब ने तों कमाल का फन दिखाया था गीत गाने में। अगर ये गाना रफ़ी साहब ना गाते तों शाय़द फिल्म इतनी प्रभावित ना होती। साहिर साहब ने तों ख़ुदग़र्ज़ ज़माने को आईना दिखाया था अपने गीत में। आज तक की बेहतरीन फिल्म कहूंगी मैं इस गीत और फ़िल्म को। गुरुदत्त साहब का जवाब नहीं।

गुरुदत्त जी,एक भावुक इंसान थे। और उन्होंने समस्या को दिखाया था,उसमें कुछ गलत नहीं था।वरना फिल्म और उसके गाने सुपर हिट न हो पाते।साहिर जी जैसा गुलूकार,बर्मरन दा जैसा संगीतकार और बेमिसाल गायक रफी़ साहब जैसे कलाकार अब कभी पैदा नहीं होंगे।

गुरुदत्त जी, बर्मन दा, साहिर साहब और रफी साहब, ने मिलकर ऐसी "चाशनी-प्यासा" बनाई। जिसे हम सभी जितना चाटेंगे उतना ही स्वाद आएगा। फिर भी यह "चाशनी" कभी खत्म ना होगी। मैं क्षमा चाहता हूं कि 'प्यासा' को "चाशनी" लिखा। मैंने अपने सम्पूर्ण जीवन में हिंदी सिनेमा की हज़ारों फिल्में देखी हैं। कुछ फिल्में मन-मस्तिष्क पर अपना प्रभाव छोड़ गईं हैं। शेष जीवन उनके सहारे कट रहा है। हिंदी के जानकार 'प्यासा' के गानों को बार-बार सुनेंगे लेकिन मन नहीं भरेगा। जो लोग हिंदी सिनेमा के "स्वर्ण युग" से गुजरे हैं। मेरे साथ उन सभी को भी गर्व होता होगा कि हम हिंदी सिनेमा के "स्वर्ण युग" में जिए हैं। "स्वर्ण युग" के हिंदी सिनेमा के सभी कलाकारों, गायक-गायकाओं, गीतकारों, संगीतकारों, निर्माताओं, निर्देशकों और सभी तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को नमन . . . काश, हमारी आने वाली पीढ़ियों को पुनः वह "स्वर्ण युग" देखने को मिल जाए। 9910070347i@gmail.com

बेहतरीन पेशकश के लिए धन्यवाद । प्यासा का निर्माण, निर्देशन, कहानी, पटकथा, संगीत के साथ साथ तमाम किरदारों का काम लाजवाब था। नरगिस जी ने जो कुछ कहा, वो भी सही है, लेकिन समाज की कड़वी सच्चाई पर्दे पर दिखाने का इससे अच्छा तरीका नहीं हो सकता था। श्रीमन सत्यजीत राय की भी इसी तरह आलोचना हुई थी।

Suna hai ke Pandith Nehru jine khud Guruduttji se isko Hindusthan ke shaan ke khilaf maankar filmse nikalne ke liye poochatha, mogar sun na padake Guruduttji ne naheen mane. Aur Saahir jine is gaane ko liqnekebaad Guruduttji ko iske maayne samjhane ke baad hi guruduttjine ise filmaneke liye raazihogayethe.!!!

भारत हमारा मातृभूमि थी ‘ प्यासा ‘ से पहले भी ( हम १४ सालके थे क्लास ten मे थे मगर उम्र १४ होने के लिए ‘हमें बच्चा माना जाता था और “उस समय के ‘बच्चों ‘के लिए प्यासा not allowed थी’, आज २०२२ ,आज भी भारत हमारी मा है और रहेगी। कलेज पढ़ते समय तो देख नही पाया मगर जब यूनिवर्सिटी मे गए तब हमने ये देखा , ईंगल्सान्ड मे भी देखा और अमेरिकानो भी फिर घर लौटने के बाद भी।फ़िल्म ६ बार देखा है । और हर बार हमें लगा गुरुदत्जी का कलाकारिता ने हम जैसे हजारौ लाखों को यह बताया की तवायफ़ भी पिढीत होती है।ऐसी दील छुनेवाला और दूसरों के दर्दको महशुस करवानेवाला फिल्म क भी नही देखाबंगला या Englishफ़िल्म भी ंभी भारत सरकार को आज भी यह पहल करना चाहिये कि देश उन बहनों बेटीयाको मूक्ति का मार्ग प्रशस्त करें।नर्गिस जी ने भावनायें मे बहकर भूल की । क्या संजयबाबु के समय दत्तजी पीढामे थी या आनन्द मे?drugtakers के बारेमे कोही प्यासा जैसा सिनेमा क्यूँ नही बनाते? वैसा गीत क्यू नही लिख सकते? दूसरा बरिमनबाबु किये नही है ?दूसरी गुरूदत्त जैसा प्रोड्यूसर क्यूँ नही है? आज भी वह गाना संसद मे बहश का बिषय हो ना चाहिए जय भारत

At first this song was recorded with the voice of Manna Dey. He sang it superbly with his modulated voice filled with emotions. But during picturization, it was found the voice is not perfectly matching with Guru Dutt Saab's acting & gestures.Then it was again recorded by All Time Great Rafi Saab & the result was observed by one & all. Even Manna Saab used to tell that Rafi Saab was no.1 in that period.The same song by Manna Dey is also available in utube, interested listeners may get it.

I took my madrasi cousin to watch this movie in Hydrabad. He does not know a word of hindi, forget Urdu. When he heard the last song, yah dunia agar mil bhi jayato kya hai, he showed me goosebums on his hands and for a long time he was saying what a movie man. That speaks volumes about this movie. Everything about it was superlative, gurudutt, wheeda, jonywalker, md rafi, writer and producer.
