@Mr. Chandrachur: It is a very naive logic. When the Govt. recognises the so called marriage, the security of family logic doesn't hold good. After listening the whole discourse, it seems that you are prisoner of your own hypothesis. I can't deny your contributions, but it doesn't mean that you are infallible.

Thanks a bunch Chandrachur da. Watched the whole series and got the mystery cleared up. I watched a lot of other videos & read some comments on your videos too and got the general idea that people seems to be very displeased with Netaji's marriage. I think it's the fault of the Indian mindset that we still judge people on trivial issues. How Netaji's marriage downplays his extraordinary contributions to the struggle for independence is beyond me. Why is it so hard to accept that a person can marry and still remain a great person and contribute a lot? I think it has to do with portraying Netaji into a God like stature & basically worshipping him. He is a man who attempted and became great. There's no reason to do autopsy on his personal life. This just shows how the mass public still lives in the stone ages.

Just one addition to what you have said, and I did comment this on the earlier posts: As per the text of the letter of Emilie Schenkl to Sarat Bose, reproduced in the book Bose Brothers and Indian Independence: An Insider's Account, Emilie informed that the first name of the daughter was meant to be Amita (later modified to not raise suspicion in wartime Germany) . The middle name (a very common thing in many western cultures) is Brigitte. As Chandrachur says, this was especially a common middle name for girls in Germany from 1920 to 60's. And as Emilie said in her letter, there was a motivation for choosing this particular middle name. The German short form for this is 'Gitte', which sounds close to Gita.
