INGREDIENTS:
1. ½ cup mashoor daal
2. 250 gm snake gourd or chichinga
3. 3 chopped onion
4. 1 tsp salt
5. 4-5 piece green chili
6. ½ tsp turmeric powder
7. ½ tsp cumin powder
8. ½ tsp ginger paste
9. ½ tsp garlic paste
10. 3 tbsp oil
11. 4 dry red chilis
12. some chopped coriander leaves
PROCEDURE:
1. Take ½ cup washed mashoor daal. Place in a cooking pan. Add 2 cup water. Cover pan for 10 minutes in medium flame.
2. 10 minutes later, open the lid. Stir daal once. Now add 250 gm snake gourd or chichinga, cut in thin slices. Also add 2 chopped onion, 4-5 piece green chili, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp ginger paste and ½ tsp garlic paste. Stir and mix all. Now cover pan for 20-25 minutes, to sodden nicely.
3. 25 minutes later, open the lid. Stir all. Check that, daal and snake gourd tender perfectly. Salt is perfect. Now let’s prepare for bugger or sizzling.
4. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 3 tbsp chopped onion and 4 dry red chilis. Stir and fry till golden brown colour. After getting perfect colour from onion, add cooked daal with snake gourd. Stir and mix all gently. At last, add some chopped coriander leaves. Mix again and put off the flame.
5. Serve and enjoy this healthy vegetables recipe with rice.
